Death toll in Iran's protest crackdown reaches 5,002 as Trump says US 'armada' approaching

00:00U.S. President Donald Trump says he is still watching Iran, just in case it wants to take action against the country over its crackdown on protesters.
00:13A Navy official confirmed that an aircraft carrier and three accompanying destroyers left the South China Sea and began heading west earlier this week.
00:24You know, we have a lot of ships going that direction, just in case. We have a big flotilla going in that direction. And we'll see what happens.
00:37We have a big force going toward Iran. I'd rather not see anything happen, but we're watching them very closely.
00:45Trump also repeated the claim that he personally stopped the execution of over 800 people, a claim that Iran's top prosecutor denies and calls completely false.
00:59Meanwhile, on Friday, the Human Rights Activists News Agency released a new number of 5,002 people killed and 26,800 arrested during the nationwide protests, making it the worst in decades.
01:16On Wednesday, Tehran said 3,117 people had been killed. However, in the past, Iran has undercounted or not reported fatalities from unrest.
