New Reform MP Robert Jenrick says his former party the Conservatives are "colluding" with Labour to delay local council votes in England because they are "running scared of the electorate", many of whom he thinks would vote for Reform. Yesterday, Local Government Secretary Steve Reed confirmed 29 councils will delay elections planned for May this year to 2027, under local government re-organisation plans. Report by Keechl. 00:00This is a complete disgrace. 5.6 million people are having their right to elect their local councillors cancelled and more than 2 million of those people for the second year in a row. The government, with the collusion of Conservative leaders, are running scared of the electorate and it's got to be stopped.
