51:45An elderly Tiverton couple speaks out tonight after the state does a flip-flop.
51:49New at 11, a clamshell controversy.
51:52The DEM has been on the couple's case for five years.
51:55Now, a possible compromise.
51:58It all began in 1997 when the DEM ordered John Moniz and his wife
52:02to remove nearly four million pounds of clamshells from their farm.
52:06When the couple didn't comply, the ordeal began to escalate
52:10from a civil case to a criminal case, from probation to house arrest,
52:15to a stint at the ACI for 73-year-old John Moniz.
52:19But tonight, the DEM has a plan that it hopes will bring this all to an end.
