00:04We're at Kandahar Grill in Hicksville, New York, and we went all out, starting with their $9 Mantou.
00:09A garlic sauce plate piled with seasoned ground chicken stuffed steamed dumplings,
00:14topped with chickpea curry and a lot of it, another healthy drizzle of garlic sauce,
00:19their Afghan spice mix, and cilantro.
00:21They're super soft and...
00:23They are not shy with the ingredients in it.
00:25You guys need to devour these.
00:27Outrageous.
00:28And for another appetizer, their $7 Bolani.
00:31Afghan seasoned sweet potato gets wrapped in their thin dough.
00:35They get lightly fried, flipped, quickly taken out, plated, topped with cilantro,
00:44and served with that creamy white sauce.
00:46Yes, please.
00:47It's just the right amount of white sauce.
00:48It's crispy, flaky, saucy, and that sweet potato is delicious.
00:51Off to an amazing start.
00:53They grill up some chicken tikka, lamb tikka, chicken kofta, beef kofta,
00:57and we had to try their lamb chops, slathered in their Afghani spice marinade, and tossed on the grill.
01:04While each meat gets continuously flipped on that flamin' grill,
01:09their Afghan rice is ready and it comes out of the oven steaming.
01:12They transfer all of that fresh Afghani rice into their rice pot.
01:19And they lock it into position.
01:22Off to the races.
01:24They pile a giant tray up with a mountain of that steaming Afghani rice.
01:28Give it a little shake.
01:30Top it with their caramelized carrots and raisins, aka kabouli.
01:33And it's time for that meat.
01:35On goes all of that chicken tikka kebab, that chicken kofta kebab, that lamb tikka kebab, that beef kofta kebab, and those juicy lamb chops.
01:46Top with onions and cilantro.
01:48And sumac seasoning.
01:50This is their family platter for five with added lamb chops coming in at just about $80.
01:54We scooped every type of meat and that rice onto a plate, drizzled it with their white sauce, red chutney, and green chutney.
