00:00Have you noticed how often we forget to just breathe?
00:08In this fast-paced world where there is pressure to live fast,
00:12there's a growing trend of measuring success by knowing when to slow down.
00:18City life, rat race and the so-called hustle culture.
00:22The term time is money may look different to everyone running towards the same goal.
00:26But what if we all took the time to rest as a way to invest in ourselves
00:31and lean in to the power of pause?
00:35I'm Laila Humaira and this is Qatar In Motion.
00:43Did you know that out of 197 countries,
00:47Qatar recently ranked as the 11th least stressed country in the world?
00:53That's pretty remarkable considering just three years ago,
00:56the McKinsey Health Institute found that one in three respondents in the Gulf
01:00reported burnout symptoms.
01:04Wellness is the fastest growing sector within the tourism industry,
01:08set to be worth $1.3 trillion in 2028.
01:12And countries all over the world want a piece of the pie.
01:16But I want to know what wellness actually looks like on the ground.
01:19There are plenty of ways to hit pause and reset in Qatar.
01:23And for those of us who may need a helping hand,
01:25there's no better place to start than the wellness resort that tops the charts.
01:33Tucked away in the most northern tip of Qatar,

10:49connects belonging
10:50it connects traditional healing
10:53and I think that is
10:54quite a niche
10:55and very specific
10:56in terms of wellness tourism.

11:00in interest in wellness
11:02not only in trade shows
11:04like QTOM
11:05but also in academic research
11:07so there is a growing
11:08in academic research
11:09about the importance
11:10of wellness tourism.
11:11So we start to see
11:12more and more
11:13the elements
11:14and the offerings
11:15of wellness
11:16and well-being tourism
11:16in different trade shows
11:18but a lot of partnerships
11:19in terms of
11:20how do we advance from here?
11:21How do we embed
11:22a more complex
11:24and holistic system
11:25for the well-being
11:25of our clients
11:26the well-being of the tourists
11:28and I think this needs
11:29to be also in communion
11:30with the environment
11:31that we are around.
11:32Rest and stillness
11:39aren't pauses in progress
11:41they're part of it.
11:43In motion doesn't always

11:47and we hope
