00:00You know, as you kind of turn towards the – I mean, I don't know if it's home stretch.
00:04There are nine games before the Olympic break comes up.
00:08And, you know, hoping to stay in a playoff spot and rise up in the standings.
00:11One thing I'm wondering, we kind of haven't had conversations like this all that often at this time of year.
00:16Are you talking with Yarmou Daly about tweaking the roster, about what you might be looking for if you are looking to add and get this team into a playoff spot?
00:28You know, we've had a lot of conversations.
00:33I think you have conversations with our players.
00:36I think Yarmou has stepped in with his staff, him and Mark, and evaluating, asking questions.
00:46You know, we talk every night after the game about players and the game and who we liked, who we didn't like,
00:53what we think could make our team better.
00:59You know, we spend a lot of time talking about the style of our play and winning hockey.
01:05And, you know, I think we've been playing winning hockey.
01:07And I think there's still maybe one more step to that where there's still some times I don't believe we've managed to puck in some key situations.
01:17But we spend a lot of time on that.
01:20We know we're a young team.
01:22You know, we talk about where we think these players can get to.
01:24And does that mean, like, again, like, not exactly making it about, like, threatening players to go,
01:30but, like, with a new set of eyes, the GM here might kind of be slotting in, well, these are the pieces I might think might be core pieces.
01:38And you guys are kind of handling it in that way as this team starts to kind of move in that direction?
01:44You know, I think that's fair.
01:46You know, I think you always look at your team and you feel what are the core pieces and who can be the next core piece, you know, the next young guy.
01:57You know, you look at a guy, Helenis, who just came up and played.
02:03So there's, you know, there's all different things you weigh.
02:06And you look at it, who can be a big piece in the future and who can help us right now.
02:11And ultimately, our goal is to be in the playoffs.
02:14And you get in the playoffs, your goal is to win the Stanley Cup.
02:18And we've been right there with a lot of teams this year.
02:21And we just got to make sure we make it.
