Buffalo Sabres head coach Lindy Ruff joined the "Jeremy and Joe Show" to discuss his team finding ways to convert on scoring chances and win hockey games, especially after snapping a 13-game winless streak.

00:00What has changed in the last week or so to bring about different results for your group?

00:05well first and foremost our puck management has got a lot better with with our club and

00:11And we've got some timely scoring our power play

00:14It started to click a little bit

00:16I think it's been a it's been a number of things that

00:19You know when you're losing you you can find a lot of different ways to lose and we did

00:24Now we're winning. I think if you go to the st. Louis game you look at the the timely power play goal there

00:30We've got a big night and goal from our goaltender

00:33So there's there's different ways you you can win. I thought the island we really skated well played well got a great four-line effort

00:41Came back home against Chicago and same thing kind of skated

00:44Well good speed did move the puck up the ice really well, and I think when we do that

00:50That's the key to our club when it comes to burying chances Lindy

00:53It's three games here with 17 goals and like you said like this this last game against st. Louis

00:58It was kind of a gritty effort block shots, but the guys when they had their opportunities scored it

01:05So is that that kind of overall group thing do you think the the team looks better on that front in the last week?

01:10I do I you know I think even you know st. Louis was down. They they started to gamble a little bit we

01:16You know we had a couple breakaways that you know I think those are the ones I think we could have put the game away

01:21We had the Krebs breakaways of the Benson breakaway. You know it looked a little bit like

01:27Some of the games previous to that where you don't take advantage, but I got to give the guys a lot of credit st.

01:33Louis tied it we stayed with it

01:35like I mentioned we got the power play goal, and then I thought a

01:39Heck of a heck of a goal again by a colleague late there to give us the two goal lead yeah on him

01:45He just cuz he's kind of helped that with the the finishing ability and scoring recently

01:50Because when you're look when fans are looking through the lineup Lindy and think okay like who could step up who could give better results

01:55In the second half Kulik being a rookie like are you seeing?

01:59Better overall play from him in addition to him potting a couple of goals in the last week

02:04I am I and I think you know the consistency with those three guys staying together

02:10the fact that

02:12He stayed he's played center

02:15Recently and and it's really skated well. I think he moves better when he's in the middle of the ice so I

02:21Really think he can be one of those guys can really help this push that we need to have
