In a previous video I mentioned Black Magic (1949) actor Lee Kresel may bear a resemblance to Jerry Orbach. He played French King Louis XVI in the Orson Welles drama about a magician drawn into the royal court for his healing abilities. Welles & Orbach are connected through their involvement with separate productions of Marc Blitzstein's musical play The Cradle Will Rock. Black Magic has a connection to the Superman comic books in that Welles was drawn in as a guest star in Superman issue 62 story "Black Magic on Mars." I looked at Black Magic for other connections to Superman:

- Jerry Orbach is known for his role as Briscoe on NBC legal / police drama Law & Order. Actor Richard Belzer (Detective John Munch) of spinoff Special Victims Unit (SVU) played a recurring character in 4 episodes of Superman TV series Lois & Clark: The New Adventures Of Superman (1993-1997) as Inspector Henderson.
- Black Magic has some scenes involving the French Royal Court in the years leading up to the Revolution. 1793 was a pivotal year in this "real world" historical turning point. 1993 happened to be the year the "Death Of Superman" comic book storyline played out involving the alien nemesis Doomsday.
- Lucille Ball devoted episodes of her TV sitcom I Love Lucy to Superman & Orson Welles. S6.E3 "Lucy Meets Orson Welles" was broadcast in 1956. Lucy spots Welles in a department store & winds up in a stage magic act.
- In 1957 S.6 E.13 "Lucy and Superman" featured actor George Reeves who is convinced by Ricky to appear at his son's birthday party.

00:00We're talking about knowledge of the future in movies, YouTube channel, Easter Egg Psychic.
00:06In this video, I'll point out a possible connection to the DC superhero comic book series Superman.
00:14I mentioned in a previous video, I thought actor Lee Kressel of this cast may resemble Jerry Orbach.
00:23He played French King Louis XVI in the 1949 drama Black Magic, co-directed and starring Orson Welles and others in this cast, Nancy Gild, Frank Lattimore, and Raymond Burr.
00:39Now there is a tie-in between Superman and Black Magic.
00:44Orson Welles, the actor, was drawn in as a guest star in the 1949 comic book issue Superman No. 62.
00:56The story was entitled Black Magic on Mars.
00:59Welles is portrayed having just wrapped the filming of Black Magic where he played the hypnotist Cagliostro.
01:08He winds up helping Superman fight off a Martian invasion.
01:13Jerry Orbach was known for his role as playing Senior Detective Lenny Briscoe in seasons 3 through 14 of the NBC television police and legal drama Law & Order.
01:27Chris Naughton and Sam Waterston also starred in this.
01:31Another Law & Order actor who had some connections to the Superman universe was Richard Belzer, who was in the cast of sister spinoff series Special Victims Unit.
01:45This broadcasts from 1999 through the present day, 2026, with Mariska Hargitay, Christopher Maloney, and Ice-T for many years.
01:56Belzer was in four episodes of the ABC TV Lois and Clark The New Adventures of Superman series.
02:06This aired between 1993 and 1997 starring Dean Cain and Terry Hatcher.
02:12He played Inspector Henderson in four episodes of this in the first series.
02:17I looked at Black Magic hoping to find some hints to the future of Superman.
02:23One of the major story arcs in the comic books was the Death of Superman crossover story, which ran in 1992 and 1993.
02:36One thing shown in Black Magic are the events leading up to the French Revolution.
02:42It just so happened 1793 was a pivotal year in this turning point in history.
02:48Actress Lucille Ball devoted episodes of her 1950s CBS television sitcom I Love Lucy to Orson Welles and Superman.
03:00Season 6, episode 3, Lucy Meets Orson Welles, broadcast in 56, co-starred Desi Arnaz, Vivian Vance, and William Frawley.
03:12Welles plays himself, Lucy runs into him in a department store and winds up in a levitating stage act.
03:20Actor George Reeves appeared as Superman in a 1957 episode, season 6, number 13.
03:30Little Ricky and Lucy watched the series Adventures of Superman, and an ad runs stating he will make an appearance at the Macy's department store in New York City in the coming weeks.
03:43They attend.
03:45Ricky asks Reeves to appear at his son's birthday party as the superhero.
03:51My YouTube channel is Easter Egg Psychic.
03:53There I go back and look at movies and television from the past.
03:57I analyze these for possible references to future media.
04:00These may appear in the form of anecdotes, idioms, anagrams.
04:05Hidden in the subtext of the work in question, I also use an unconventional method where I look at the likenesses of the actors.
04:12And what I found is you can take the likenesses, match these up to some of the anecdotal items, and show past, present, and future information about actors and other personalities
04:25that may resemble the personalities in the movie or television episode that you're watching.
04:30My email contact is Easter Egg Guy, that's G-U-Y, at Yahoo.com.
04:39Thanks for watching.
