00:09The possibility of salvation that the Son of God's mission bestowed to humanity

00:24Jesus sought to convey to human beings the knowledge of the laws of creation
00:32instituted by His Father's will through the use of simple parables,
00:39and precisely in them one can find the Word of Salvation.

00:53The Comprehensiveness of the Master's Parables
00:57On several occasions, Jesus sought to convey His teachings to human beings through parables.
01:08In these simple stories, which cover about one-third of the material contained in the Gospels,
01:15Jesus interwove the mode of operation of the laws of creation
01:21and the path that human beings must tread within the very creation.
01:27The parables conveyed the truth of God in a way that listeners could readily assimilate,
01:35provided they opened their hearts to them.
01:38That is precisely why the Pharisees understood nothing of what Jesus said,
01:45because they sought to dissect His words with the intellect,
01:50rather than grasp them with intuition.
01:54Jesus, or their listeners, on the contrary,
01:58perfectly understood what He was trying to convey.

02:02And with many such parables He spoke the word to them as they were able to hear it.

02:19Jesus elevated the practice of speaking through parables,
02:26already used in antiquity by Plato and Aristotle,
02:30and regularly present in ancient rabbinic literature,
02:36to such a sublime art that His narratives can, indeed,
02:41lead the human spirits to the path of salvation,
02:45as long as they take the trouble to grasp their meaning aright.
