00:00The Pearls of Soul
00:07A natural pearl, often called an oriental pearl, gets formed slowly.
00:16The process takes place when an irritant works its way into the oyster,
00:23what rarely happens, one case every 10,000 or so.
00:30As a defense mechanism, the clam secretes a fluid to coat the invader,
00:36which can be either a grain of sand or a tiny parasite.
00:41And it is the repeated process of coating the irritant with mother-of-pearl,
00:48layer upon layer, that eventually gives rise to a pearl, after about three years.
00:56The oyster can thus counteract a distressing situation of invasion or attack
01:03with a very effective defense, which ends up producing a beautiful gem.
01:10Something similar can happen to a person who seeks to direct his life
01:17according to the laws that govern creation designed by the Omnipotent.
01:24Seen from above, this voluntary adaptation to the universal laws
01:29amounts to an authentic service from the human spirit in the most natural way.
01:36And if someone goes so far as to turn all that he does and thinks
01:43into selfless service to the Creator, to whom he owes his life,
01:49then his soul will receive in return continuously in flows of peace,
01:55which can uplift and protect him against attacks of envy, hatred, jealousy.
02:02Such luminous aids, in turn, also simultaneously contribute to adorn the bearer himself,
02:11that is, the upwardly striving human soul.
02:16So when this soul leaves the earth,
02:20it will be apt to enter the ethereal world of the beyond,
02:24filled with peace and richly adorned,
02:27for it has succeeded in turning distressing situations
02:32into spiritual pearls of recognition and learning,
02:38and also of gratitude.
