00:00Let's take a look at Alex Golish because I like the way he coaches discipline physicality we know

00:06that they lost to tonight in the transfer portal but that was because his former quarterback from

00:11USF Byron Brown does come on the planes I like Byron Brown he's an experienced quarterback he's

00:19mobile he's physical he's tall and he's a blue collar type of kid something that Golish wants

00:25to build this program around well and the fact that he wanted him and his quarterback coach wanted

00:30him his OC wanted him he was wanted by that staff and they know what he can do and they know what's

00:37going to be expected of them at Auburn so they know this they feel and I think they've got a great pick

00:42I think this is a great he's probably one of the top five uh portal picks of the of the year and I

00:47think they got him at Auburn and they're now able to build around that I just I think that's very

00:52important because again and they picked up I think a tight end and maybe a receiver several of their

00:58offensive players very much like Kurt Signetti did when he when he left James Madison uh and when you

01:04do that with the play caller and the offensive line coach and the entire offensive staff uh it's going

01:09to put them on on a on the same page from day one so again good move Byron Brown I think it puts

01:16Auburn in a great situation uh and um gives them a chance to go out there and be a pretty uh interesting

01:23football team early next year I agree now let's take a look at a team that's in a complete rebuild

01:29that's the Arkansas Razorbacks you know I thought from an offensive perspective they're one of the most

01:34explosive teams in the conference they lost a ton of games by seven points or less Bobby Petrino

01:41moved on as the interim head coach he's in a different landscape now comes in Memphis head

01:48coach Ryan Silverfield he's coached Memphis to multiple 10 win seasons coach what do you think

01:55about Silverfield people are suggesting that it's not a good fit I actually think it is I don't think

02:02it's like the Chad Morris uh acquisition that we saw a couple years ago actually about seven years ago

02:07from SMU I think Silverfield could make Arkansas very competitive and at least get them back to a

02:14bowl game next year well he sure he brought a good resume in uh from Memphis but you know what the

02:19conference is so crowded I mean yes they've got to go out there and dynamically put people together

02:26out of the portal they've got to have some instant instant uh talent coming in to infuse their team with

02:32some talent uh because it is so difficult the western division of the SEC I don't care whether

02:37Texas Texas A&M LSU Auburn Alabama Missouri I mean it's Missouri Mississippi State oh it's a tough

02:46tough division of a tough conference and so again I'd like to say it'll be interesting for Arkansas but he's

02:53got a lot of people that have got a lot of money that are building good football teams but it will be

02:58interesting I do think being at Memphis they know what they got I think he knows the area he knows

03:04what's expected of Arkansas and uh I didn't see a better pick they could have had than him

03:09no I agree and again I think when you look at Arkansas they're a team that can play spoiler right

03:17especially next year especially with a new head coach offense has never been an issue in Fayetteville

03:24you could go back to the Houston nut days when they had Darren McFadden Felix Jones and and Peyton

03:30Hillis they could always run it and had solid quarterbacks throughout you know uh their careers

03:35I think the problem has been what has held back this team has been the defense sometimes they are

03:41bend but don't break unit but they had one of the worst statistical defensive units in all the SEC

03:47last year they couldn't stop the run they were allowing well over 30 points per game

03:52I expect Silverfield to cut that down immediately in year number one I mean when you look at what

03:59people do out of the portal you look at what Texas Tech did and what you need to do if you're going

04:04to turn your team around you got to build that defense up you got to put your money in the

04:08defensive front the defensive front seven yes uh excitement comes on offense but get you a great

04:13quarterback then build that defense up hopefully that's what he'll do at Arkansas because they were

04:18really horrendous on defense is bad here
