00:10Welcome to What's in the Box.
00:13In Jenny and Dev's box of old things are gold jewellery, old toys, a digital camera.
00:18Well, they got the real deal.
00:21Dickinson's Real Deal, brought to you by Vintage Cash Cow.
00:30Hello, and welcome to the show.
00:47I'm David Dickinson, the Duke, and this is The Real Deal.
00:51Now, today the show is coming to you from the deer barn in Burton-en-Trent.
00:57I'm very happy to be in Burton today. Yes, bring it on.
01:01I've got the money if you've got the goods.
01:03And we're going to have a great day today.
01:06Coming up, there's a familiar refrain from our sellers in the den today.
01:10I was hoping for a bit more than that.
01:13Keep putting them down.
01:16A tiny bit more.
01:18And the Duke's joining in.
01:19I think they're worth a little bit more than that.
01:22The French is nowhere near enough.
01:25Just a nice big pile of gold.
01:27Even when a huge haul of gold sees mountains of cash on the table...
01:32These are in £5,000 bundles.
01:35..it's still not enough.
01:37Can you secuse a little bit more?
01:40You're pulling up my heartstrings, aren't you?
01:44Are you ready? Well, I'm ready. Let's get it on.
01:47Let's do the real deal.
01:56There's some healthy competition in the den today
01:58to see which of our dealers will be top dog.
02:02Who's going to spend the most?
02:03Well, I would imagine it could be me.
02:06I've got loads of it, and I want to spend it here.
02:09Well, I'd like to enter that competition, too,
02:11so that's three of us.
02:13A pint of beer for the winner.
02:15Mark should be a front-runner,
02:18but I don't think he was expecting this for his first deal.
02:21Mate, look what they've done to me.
02:24Oh!
02:25I've never seen so many teddies together,
02:36even when I was a young teddy boy.
02:40Two, three...
02:40Oh, dear.
02:42Gemma and Ollie, that's quite a collection you've got there.
02:46We brought 15 teddy bears with us.
02:49We didn't know if they were worth anything.
02:53£50 minimum.
02:55So, what are you hoping to spend the cash on?
02:57We're looking forward to a Chinese tonight, hopefully.
03:01Over to you, Mark.
03:03I haven't got a clue what they're worth.
03:04Any tactics, guys?
03:06Banter, laughter.
03:08Hope for the best.
03:12All my friends that are here, including Ollie and Gemma.
03:16Hello.
03:17You brought them along today, didn't you?
03:19We did, yes.
03:20All this big collection of bears, so tell me about them.
03:23What do I need to know?
03:24So, we don't know a lot about these bears, Mark.
03:27We've moved house two and a half years ago,
03:30and as we were emptying the loft,
03:32this is what's been left behind from the previous owner.
03:34So, they've been in our possession for two and a half years.
03:37Just sitting there, and we just thought we'd bring them here today
03:40to see if they were worth anything.
03:41You can see the look on these.
03:43You want to keep these, don't you, Ollie?
03:44No.
03:45Oh, right, OK.
03:46Well, at least he's honest, he's told the truth.
03:47Yeah, both kids aren't interested.
03:48You want these to sell a pair of football boots, don't you, Ollie?
03:50Yeah, I thought so.
03:51Yeah.
03:52But they're a nice mixed lot.
03:57You've got the black bear in the middle here,
03:59you've got the golden bear here,
04:01you've got all different, like the baby bear, poppy bear.
04:04So, that's obviously a young bear.
04:06Yeah.
04:07There's a beanie baby bear on the end.
04:10Right.
04:11Oh, God.
04:12So, listen, let's put the cards on the table.
04:14Yeah.
04:15I really don't know what they were, Ollie.
04:17Yeah.
04:18What's your ultimate goal with the money?
04:19So, because we said we didn't know how much these bears were worth,
04:22we've come on a whim, we said if we go home with money tonight,
04:25we're buying a Chinese takeaway.
04:28OK.
04:29And if anything else is a bonus.
04:31I say, I hope it's a small shop.
04:33Chinese, these are expensive.
04:35So, 15 bears on the table.
04:37Let's go.
04:38Right.
04:39Would you take £10 now, Ollie?
04:40No.
04:41Would you take £20, Ollie?
04:43No.
04:44Would you take £30, Ollie?
04:46We're getting close.
04:47Think about it.
04:48Don't gamble.
04:49No.
04:50You know what you want.
04:51£40, Ollie?
04:52No.
04:53Think very carefully here.
04:56Football boots, Chinese or auction?
05:00OK.
05:01£50.
05:03No.
05:04Gemma, when you arrived here today, obviously you went to the ring
05:08and you spoke to the various people there and gave you advice.
05:11Yeah.
05:12What was the advice from the auctioneer and the experts behind the podium?
05:15So, the experts said between £80 and £120.
05:18Mm-hm.
05:19And then if I was to go to auction, it was between £100 and £120.
05:22OK.
05:23So, should we say it's between £80 and £100 roughly-ish?
05:25Yeah.
05:26You know, you've got commissions and various things.
05:28Yeah.
05:29What we had there is basically a gamble.
05:32So, at £50 on the table, if I was going to an auction to buy those,
05:38Yeah.
05:39That £50 means I'm actually paying £70 approximately.
05:42Yeah.
05:43Approximately give or take a couple of pounds.
05:44OK.
05:45OK?
05:46Because we have to pay buyer's premium on time.
05:47Of course, yeah.
05:48So, have a think.
05:49Oli, talk to your mum.
05:50I reckon £50's enough.
05:51You decide what you want to do.
05:52That's a Chinese, maybe.
05:54It won't get your Chinese on football boots.
05:57No, football boots.
05:59You won't get much change from a Chinese with that.
06:01No.
06:02Have you got any more to give, Mark, on the bears?
06:06I don't really want these.
06:08But I'll tell you what I'm going to do.
06:09I'm going to take away the tenner.
06:11I'm going to put down the 20.
06:12Yeah.
06:13I'm going to give you £60.
06:14Yeah.
06:15Hopefully, that will buy you a bit more of a Chinese,
06:16if you want to go down that route.
06:18But it's up to you.
06:19Don't feel you're being pressured by me.
06:20But if you want to, Oli, you're more than welcome to take the £60.
06:24Whatever you want to do, my friend.
06:26If you go to auction, you've got to pay fees as well.
06:30So you could potentially get less or the same.
06:33Mm.
06:34So £60?
06:35Yeah.
06:36What do you reckon?
06:37Yeah.
06:38£60 on the table.
06:39We have a deal.
06:40We've got a deal.
06:41Thank you very much, young man.
06:42Thank you, Oli.
06:43Thank you, Gemma.
06:45Well, Mark, you're now the proud owner of 15 teddy bears.
06:48I don't know what happened, really, but one thing I can tell you,
06:51these guys are coming home with me.
06:54Best of luck, Mark.
06:56We bargained a little bit, but got a deal that we wanted in the end
06:59rather than going to auction.
07:01I haven't got anybody in mind at all for these.
07:05But it doesn't matter, because next week we'll go for a picnic.
07:10That was the real deal.
07:12Our dealers never know what's going to turn up on their tables next.
07:21The people of Burton are great.
07:24I'm seeing some wonderful stuff coming through the door.
07:27Can't wait to see what I'm going to get.
07:29Mark's hoping Faye will take a shine to his stools.
07:33I bought some old stools, oak.
07:38They're about 100 years old, I think.
07:40They're my wife's grandparents.
07:43And we're looking for around £30-ish.
07:47Any plans for the money?
07:50Well, my daughter's getting married in this actual building,
07:53so I'd probably go towards that.
07:56They're quite pretty.
07:57Somebody might like them for plants.
08:00Hello, I'm Faye.
08:03Hi, I'm Mark.
08:04Can you tell me anything about these stools
08:06that you've brought along today?
08:07I think they're about 100 years old-ish.
08:10They were my wife's grandparents.
08:13I think they're oak.
08:16OK, I think you might be right.
08:18I mean, just having a little look here,
08:20they're definitely oak.
08:22A little bit of marquetry in the top here.
08:25And I would say they're about 100 years old.
08:29But you say they were your wife's...
08:31Wife's grandparents.
08:32OK.
08:33They look vaguely church, ecclesiastical.
08:37Right.
08:38And I wondered if they were possibly a pair of prayer stores?
08:41I don't.
08:42You've never heard?
08:43Yeah, maybe.
08:44I don't really know.
08:45They've been stuck in the loft for a while.
08:48What would you do with them these days?
08:50This is the question.
08:51I mean, you could put a lamp on them or a plant or...
08:54Yeah.
08:55But there's something nice about them, isn't there?
08:57They've definitely got to look.
08:59Erm...
09:00That one needs a little bit of TLC.
09:05Yeah.
09:06But overall, the condition's pretty good.
09:08And they do look like a matching pair, don't they?
09:10Yeah.
09:11What this needs is a good wax up and erm...
09:14Yeah.
09:15Yeah.
09:16So what made you bring them along today?
09:18Well, I'd say they've been in the loft.
09:21We don't use them for anything, so...
09:24Just a bit of a clear-out.
09:26So what you really want to know is how much I'm going to pay for them,
09:30don't you?
09:31Yeah.
09:32You know.
09:33See, I don't really know what...
09:35I have no idea what these are worth.
09:37So what about if we put 20 down?
09:40That's £10 each.
09:42No, they're looking for more than that.
09:44You think they're worth more than that?
09:46Yeah.
09:47Mmm.
09:48Let's have a look.
09:50£30.
09:54That's £15 each.
09:56Tell me your thoughts, Mark.
09:58Well, my daughter's getting married in this room.
10:01Oh, is she?
10:02So, a little bit more would be better.
10:05She's getting married in this very room?
10:07Yes.
10:08I don't think I'm going to be financing this wedding very much, do you?
10:12Well, probably not all of it, no, but...
10:14I might be buying a drink behind the bar, possibly.
10:17Um, I think the best thing we can do is get David's opinion.
10:20Yeah.
10:21Well, they're a neat little pair of stools.
10:26The question is, how old are they?
10:30Well, they look arts and crafts.
10:32The style certainly is arts and crafts.
10:34And that would place us late 19th, early 20th century.
10:37Mm.
10:38But I've had a look at these, and I turn them up, and I look inside, and then it's fresh.
10:46And they expect something from the early 20th century to have a bit of wear and tear on their feet.
10:53But the question is, how commercial are they to a dealer?
10:57Yeah.
10:58And that is because you've got £30 on the table.
11:02I think they're worth a little bit more than that.
11:05Is that it, Faye?
11:07Well, I would go to £40.
11:12At the end of the day, that's £20 a stall.
11:16If I can't make a fiver a stall on top of that, then I think it's a poor show.
11:19Well, I think that is a good offer, but if you want to go to auction, I'll take you there.
11:25Thank you, David.
11:26So, it is your decision now as to what you'd like to do?
11:30Um, I'll take that.
11:33You're going to take the £40?
11:34Take the £40, yes.
11:35Do you want to shake my hand?
11:36OK.
11:37Thank you very much, Mark.
11:39Any plans for your new stools, Faye?
11:42I think my first stop will be a tin of furniture polish.
11:46Give them a polish up, and then who knows where these will end up.
11:50A few more quid in the pot, Mark?
11:53So, that will be £40 going towards the wedding.
11:56Did Faye make it onto the guest list?
11:59If she'd have given me 50, maybe.
12:05After the break, they say diamonds are a girl's best friend.
12:09I feel they're so gorgeous. They shouldn't be in a drawer. They should be worn.
12:13It's a nice little diamond, Matt.
12:15Yeah.
12:16I'll be getting the cash out for this one.
12:18But just because they're your best friend doesn't mean you get to own them, Tracy.
12:23300.
12:24Are we going warm?
12:26No.
12:27Hello, Rob.
12:29And James has his eye on the prize.
12:32I've got my trophy.
12:34And is using cheeky tactics to get it.
12:37And do you like it?
12:38Personally, no.
12:40No.
12:41See, they're not expecting to get much for it, then.
12:44No.
12:45No.
12:46No.
12:47No.
12:48No.
12:49No.
12:50No.
12:51No.
12:52No.
12:53No.
12:54No.
12:55No.
12:56No.
12:57No.
12:58No.
12:59No.
13:00No.

13:14No.
13:15No.
13:16No.
13:17No.
13:18No.
13:19No.
13:20No.
13:21No.
13:22No.
13:23silver jewelry medals all things that are bright and shiny and I love I always
13:30love it when I get precious metal and rings and so forth if anything can be
13:34recycled out of it and resold all the better
13:38of course I'm hoping to be the biggest spender I'm the golden girl remember oh
13:43we haven't forgotten Tracy that's why we're sending Janita your way so I
13:48bought beautiful earrings and a ring that I got from my gran padded for quite a
13:53few years not quite your thing then I haven't worn them because it's not my
13:58style but it's different style for someone I'll be getting the cash out for
14:04this one today I'm hoping to get about 600 pounds
14:11hi I'm Tracy hi I'm Janita Janita yeah what country Cape Town
14:18South Africa Cape Town South Africa I should have known South African yeah so
14:23I can see you've brought a quantity of jewelry in today I have so we've got an
14:28emerald and diamond dress ring yeah and then we've got some earrings they're like
14:35a daisy cluster out there there are yeah could you tell me a little bit about it
14:39so I got it from my grand many years ago the diamonds are actually diamonds from
14:44South Africa right but I feel they're so gorgeous they shouldn't be in a draw they
14:49should be worn right and at home they're just gonna be in a draw they're
14:53gonna be in a draw so you've never wore them I haven't because not my style not
14:57your style yeah how long have you owned them many years I don't know I can't tell
15:02you exactly because I call it so far back so let me put my glasses on and let's
15:07have a little peek I'm just gonna take the ring out and let's have a quick look
15:12yep let's see what we've got here so we've just got a standard 18 CT mark on it
15:19presume that denotes 18 carat and then we've got a single diamond in the middle
15:24surrounded by emeralds it's a nice little diamond that yeah I think the emeralds are
15:31probably Colombian yes most of the emeralds come from there if I'm true yeah
15:36yeah they do they're lovely but the market on semi-precious is a bit poor at
15:42the moment I will say this as well they're not British hallmarked so they
15:47are going to be difficult for me to sell I would have to send them into the
15:51se office to get them hallmarked before I can actually put them in our shop yeah
15:56because it's from South Africa yeah yeah so what are you gonna do with the
16:01money if I do buy these today part of the money to go visit my daughter I
16:05haven't seen in years and then part of it's to carry on because we're starting a
16:11new life here right yeah what I'm gonna do is I'm gonna get some money out and see
16:15where we go on this one okay okay 50 100 50 200 250 300 are we game warm no
16:37nope needs to go a bit higher than that so I'm gonna say 350 and that's where I
16:45want to be I'm gonna be truthful with yeah yeah I have got a shop full of
16:53semi-precious stones yeah and diamonds and nobody's buying them yeah so I think
17:01maybe going to auction on this lot would be a very good option for you yeah I
17:09think so so that's it we decided we're going to watch it we're going to all she
17:14give us your hand anyway thank you not quite the 600 you want to Janita the
17:20dealer offered me 350 I thought that was a bit low so I'm going to auction and I'm
17:25very happy with my decision what happened to the golden girl and Tracy the market
17:31on this kind of jury is a bit flat at the moment so I think you need to go into
17:36auction was the best thing on this particular lot hopefully it'll do really
17:41well for her we'll find out how Janita gets on at the auction in a minute but
17:47first
17:49well there's a hundred and ten thousand pounds here can you imagine what you

18:51so was Janita made the right decision turning down traces 350 pounds auctioneer
19:02Richard Winterton is not so sure the diamond and emerald cluster set now it is
19:09gold but when it's not marked we can't put anything but yellow metal now the team
19:15on the day were quite enthusiastic on this our team back here at base not quite
19:21so 350 pounds was offered that could have been the real deal I would just have to
19:27see how we go see if we can get past that Janita can't make it to the auction but
19:34David's feeling positive 320 the reserve is set at 480 pounds are they going to do
19:41better than the 350 that she turned down I'm gonna say yeah sure they are they're
19:47well worth more here they come now we now go to the 427 the diamond and emerald
19:54cluster ring and the cluster stud earrings to go with it 300 in at 300 300 bit 300
20:00300 bit 320 320 320 then 320 340 come on 400 pounds I'm bit at 400 400 pounds 400
20:12pounds 420 420 420 420 420 420 internet is gone now room is out 420 stalling at 420 all in
20:22420 not sold didn't make the 418 if she would have been here I just said look do you want to take
20:32that this but she's not here so unfortunately it's not sold and the goods will be returned to her
20:39that's the way it goes
20:41we get a lot of vases when we come to this part of the world it's one of those with a metal rod rod
20:52and there's a good reason for that isn't there Richard we're obviously not far from the potteries
21:00in here so a nice bit of pottery coming in from the good old stoke firms will do as well so it has to be
21:07something a little special to catch our experts eye this looks just a ticket I've got a very nice royal
21:15crown derby bars they usually come in pairs but you know I'm grateful for small mercies I'm going to
21:22try and buy it the vase belongs to Rob Rob how much do you want for it I would imagine round about the
21:31hundred pound mark 120 maybe I can see this selling for 200 pounds so I'm going to buy it for less than
21:41200 we'll see so you brought along a bit of crown derby yes are you a collector no it's not mine it's my
21:52late father's okay um he won it in a sales competition he won yes he won it yes circa 1980
22:00okay and it's been kept in the cabinets in the family living room ever since and do you like it
22:07personally no so you're not expecting to get much for it then well I'd like a lot for it but I do
22:14appreciate there's a lot of work gone into it and it is a beautiful piece but it's just not my taste
22:20really no let's have a look at it we'll look at the mark first it's royal crown derby finest bone
22:30china made in England that gives us a clue as to the dating so we know that it's um post 1900 and
22:38looking at it I'm guessing it's probably post-war 70s or 80s possibly Derby were known for their high
22:46quality china and this sort of gold blue and red decoration is something they use for near enough
22:55200 years right but I have to say that the quality of the gilding is really very good but the good
23:03thing about this is that it's a known quantity there are collectors of it and it's in lovely condition yes
23:10so you've got all that going for you that's great so if I manage to buy it are you going to treat yourself to something
23:18um I wish it's just really going to go towards in the bottomless pit it just towards the expenses of course
23:27we've got to clear out my late father's house and things like that so it's just into the pot for running cost of living really yeah
23:34um so you know it'd be nice to say I'd go in on a cruise but in reality well not not on this I don't
23:42think it might might get you as far as the travel agent on the bus we'll put some money on the table
23:51so 20 40 60 80 no that's not enough no we've got to start somewhere well we've got to start somewhere
24:08so that's 100 120 140 160 it's getting there are we close very close
24:20i would have thought very very close but not but no cigar yeah no cigar yet oh okay uh i'm i'm getting
24:28i'm getting close okay to where i want to be but i'll put another another 20 down so that's that's 180
24:35which is kind of kind of where i see it okay but no chance of a little brown one on top a little brown
24:44one yeah i hope you're not talking about a 50. well it's not a tenner a really small brahma so one one
24:50at 190 might we have a deal yes i think so okay so there we are 190 okay shall we get david and get
24:58his advice that would be fantastic well david's here royal crown derby very desirable to some people
25:05there are people that collect this it will have been very expensive when bought uh probably eight
25:11is yeah difficult to say very it's contemporary it's modern it is beautifully made it's beautifully
25:18gilded but surprisingly in auction they don't do that well unless it's something very rare we've got
25:27120 180 i'm going to say i'll take you to auction if you want to go there but 190 cash in your hand the
25:36equivalent of over 200 pounds i think it's possible you'll get a little bit more but i wouldn't like
25:44to guarantee it this way you've guaranteed that cash i think it's a good price he's offered i do too
25:50well after that uh advice then james yes we've got a deal we've got a deal okay well thank you very
25:57much for bringing it rod thank you very much and um yeah thanks to your dad
26:03i got 190 pounds i'm very happy with that i was expecting 100 120 pounds but 190 pounds is a massive
26:11bonus all helps isn't it i've got my trophy i bought my royal crown derby bars
26:20i'm really quite pleased with it and i think 190 was as david said a fairly generous price
26:27but i think there's a little profit left in it we'll check in with you later james
26:32after the break there's a whole look based around this sort of style yeah these 60s lights in the bent
26:40house oh leave fey in the dark i honestly don't think i would ever get used to looking at this
26:50let's see how they've done silverware watches dickinson's real deal brought to you by vintage cash cow

27:39all our upcoming dealer days can be found at itv.com beyond tv
27:44we love a bit of nostalgia in the den every little boy's dream to have one of these train sets
27:54remember these have you seen my robot i remember buying ice creams from a van like that on the
28:05beach yes smith's carrier van those were the good old days he used to be in portobello
28:10peltabella road peltabella road 40 years you were short pants then when you started it was yep yep
28:18voice hadn't broken anyone fancy these 60s lights go on sarah give it your best sales pitch
28:27i have brought a selection of 1960s ceiling and wall lights
28:32when we moved into a house it was a 1950s bungalow for my kitchen original bathroom
28:39original lighting throughout and we just updated it this doing it for you fae it's really really
28:47not my sort of splendor but it will be somebody's splendor i'm sure you don't sound exactly keen though
28:55i honestly don't think i would ever get used to looking at this
28:58so you bought bungalow and that's about 1950s it was a 1950s bungalow yes and these were the
29:09light fittings when you moved in they were that's right um what we got we've got the center light
29:14here with the three shades on and then we've got one two we've got three wall lights all with your
29:22original strings and beads and everything yes i think somebody's gonna have to spend a bit of
29:28money on getting them refurbished to a standard that's acceptable these days um i mean these are
29:34an acquired taste shall we say um i think nowadays this falls into the mid-century uh bracket um and
29:44to my mind it's very kitsch yes i'll be honest with you it's not to my taste but there is a an up-and-coming
29:52market for this sort of style of stuff um i mean going back sort of 10 years ago if we did jobs this
29:59sort of stuff came in it went in the ski yes um and then a little by little people have sort of come to
30:07accept it more now i mean older people really don't like this sort of stuff but the younger people
30:13are actually putting it back which is bizarre but they really are i get i guess they get it rewired
30:20cleaned up and there's a whole look based around this sort of style yes uh of stuff so i mean do you
30:29like it i do like it yes yeah yeah it's tasteful it's yeah in the right house setting in the right
30:37house i think great for the right people and the right place it could look really good but i mean
30:43it does look as good as new doesn't it it does yes oh crikey and are you raising money for anything
30:50in particular not really raising money just trip out day out day away somewhere okay let's put some
30:57money down i've got to start somewhere 20 pounds so 20 is nowhere near enough okay so well let's say
31:06this is the 20 for the center right i'm going to put another 20 down 40 pounds no now i'm i'm kind
31:18of struggling here because i to me i've put 20 pound too much down but i happen to know that the man
31:28coming in any second now i think these would look wonderful in david's apartment in the penthouse
31:35oh they'd be wonderful wouldn't they well they're of a certain taste i'd describe them as i mean
31:42it's your treasure but they don't do it for me 30 to 50 is the estimate 40 pounds is on the table
31:53as much as that yes okay i'm being a bit facetious because they're just not my cup of tea auction you
31:59could go and maybe just maybe you might get the thick end of 50 or a bit more but i think on the
32:07day 40 safe in your purse i think that's the answer this 40 pounds on the table what are your thoughts
32:17any chance for another fiver to not from me i'm afraid no right but you could take them to auction and
32:25if there's two people that really want them you could do really well so it is a gamble right i'm
32:33going to leave the decision to you what do you think i'll take the 40 pounds i'm not sure what to
32:39say to that i don't know whether i'm happy or sad but yet thank you for bringing them along because it's
32:45nice to think a little bit different that's it thank you very much for the 40 pounds
32:50happy with that sarah really well good thank you very pleased with it should buy a nice meal
32:59out it'd be fish and chips for two at the seaside sounds lovely hey you don't look too chuffed

37:17the chains the bracelets just a nice big pile of gold jumping up to the top here we've got the wedding
37:25bands here we have the necklace the bracelet the swallow and the pendant nice lot but on the back

39:272nd of february at 10 a.m
39:32i think now is the perfect time to get the boss in david he will know the value of this and he will tell you
39:37well you start with the right man well i've got to tend to 13 000 as a kind of over arrest but the story
39:48as you know at home is what is it worth in bullion what is the metal value i can tell you the metal value
39:57is 13 675 pounds that's what you would get from a bullion dealer today as is now that's not to say
40:09that someone who is flexible like our dealer from brighton that wheels and deals might keep some of
40:17these in his shop or emporium where he will think on a long term i'll run with that and i can get a
40:24better price a retail price more than the gold value is but that takes time but the amount of
40:31profit here is not a huge amount are we at the death here i think i calculated out to exactly what
40:39you said david 13 600 pounds basically so i what i would do because i want to be fair so and i really
40:46do so i would be prepared to put a little bit more down it isn't a lot so i would put on the table
40:5413 200 pounds okay now you have a choice here we can go to auction we don't have to sell to this
41:06man we can go to auction but we have a bit of a problem to consider here because whoever buys it
41:12whatever the gavel goes for he has to allow for another 20 percent and then look for his profit
41:18i'm going to say not being greedy being very professional i can't fault it so in my opinion
41:26this is the best deal but i'm looking after you and i will take you to the auction if you want but
41:33i wouldn't recommend it thank you david can you squeeze a little bit more
41:42to make you happy i'll give you another 50. that's 13 000 250. not another one
41:48honestly i i want couple couple couple you're pulling up my heart swings aren't you come on
41:56david where's he gone i'm going to get the boss in now david she's squeezing me david well that's
42:02that's the name of the game to squeeze your fair game you're squeezeable oh i put another 50 and the
42:09lady said to make her really happy she wants another 50 to make it 13 300. in my opinion before the extra
42:1850 went down i thought it was a fair margin now it's up to you you can go to the auction but you know
42:25sometimes you can be a little bit too greedy and you can come unstuck at the option no it's not
42:31so i'm going to leave you i mean we know he's crying in his beer but it's fair what he's he's
42:37handing on the table and i don't think you'll get better at auction but that's your choice
42:43would would i make you happy if i put another 50 pound on that time i'm going to put it down there
42:48another 50 you've got the deal 13 300 pounds i'm happy and you were happy yeah then i'm happy thank
42:55you very much we have a deal thank you thank you so much thank you
43:01bling bling bling gold gold gold i'm a happy man tough tough deal iman really knew what she wanted
43:09for this gold and it was it was a battle to get there but we got there and that's the most important
43:14thing she walks away happy i walk away happy i tried to push him to the end
43:22so less profit for him more profit for me
43:29and did mark manage to make a profit from iman's huge collection of gold
43:33what a large collection of gold iman had and i've managed now to sell every single piece
43:40and it's shown me a profit of 638 pounds
43:49it's been a day of mixed fortunes for all our dealers
43:53what country tracy tried to buy janita's jewelry i'll be getting the cash out for this one but it
44:01wasn't enough 350 and that's where i want to be no nope we're going to give us your hand anyway
44:10faye was hopeful about mark's oak stools if i can't make a fiver a stall on top of that then
44:16i think it's a poor show well it's a poor show from faye so far i still own them i can't believe it
44:24and she wasn't exactly thrilled about buying sarah's 60s lights i am the proud owner of some truly awful
44:34lights maybe you'll just have to start loving them faye those light fittings that i purchased i've
44:41still got them in fact i have a feeling that i shall have those forever oh dear so could james
44:48break the dealer's docks with rob's vase and do you like it personally no well i think 190 was
44:58a fairly generous price but i think there's a little profit left in it well i managed to sell
45:04robert's derby burn for 220 so i made a profit of 30 quid which is about what i thought at last
45:14mark was definitely out of his comfort zone with jemma and ollie's huge teddy bear collection
45:19i haven't got a clue what they were but he ended up taking all 15 of them home with them
45:24yeah 60 pound it is we have a deal we've got a deal thank you very much thank you thank you and guess
45:31what i actually put them into the local sale and they sold for a hundred pounds i earned 40 pounds
45:40we've had a fantastic day here at the deer barn there's been some great deals money has changed
45:46hands people have gone away with a smile on their face and that's what i like to see
45:52don't forget to join me david dickens and the duke next time for dickinson's real deal i'll see you
45:57and don't you be late
46:11well they got the real deal dickinson's real deal brought to you by vintage cash cow
