00:00now we do want to go back down to palm beach florida where our head of bloomberg america's

00:05caroline gage is sitting down right now with real estate magnate stephen ross let's take a listen

00:10that are here but that will only grow i think as as people see the opportunities um and and

00:18where the defense industry is really going any tenants potential tenants in this space you're

00:23talking to right now or well i mean not not that have really you know in our buildings

00:28um primarily i think there'll be different they won't be necessarily downtown buildings i think

00:35there'll be some of the headquarters will be there um and some of the startups you know maybe um but

00:42they need obviously cheaper space and more industrial type space but i think that you're definitely going

00:49to see a lot of that what about k through 12 i mean you've also tried to start tackling that

00:55supply demand problem you've got to tell us a bit about what's happening with your school

01:00in wellington well i mean you know you can't have companies want to expand in an area without having

01:10great uh education uh and and you know since the decision is made by the uh ceos the c-suite

01:18and when you talk to those type of people they're saying where my kids going to go to school so you

01:24got to make sure the decision makers have a place where their children you know can go to school and

01:30going to school is really all about getting into great universities so it has to be a very you know

01:35competitive uh excellent educational school um we were fortunate to uh find in wellington we're

01:44starting at k-12 uh it was an international school they have uh they were located in uh uh in southeast

01:54asia in singapore uh they have 14 schools uh it was called education in motion um here i forget the name

02:05of it but uh it uh it was wind growth you know um and uh it's really very highly rated um and they're

02:17gonna uh you know uh be going out to wellington um and uh we're really working with them we've you

02:24know kind of found them and uh they're all on board um and then we have another uh excellent

02:32highly prestigious k-12 school that i cannot announce is that is that closer to here is that

02:37in west palm or what are you it'll be in in west palm okay um we'll be able to announce that probably

02:44in the next 30 60 days well you could announce it here if you wanted to i mean just saying you know

02:49i cannot announce it here i'm under an nda so therefore i will not announce it here

02:59but i can just say when you have two schools and people seeing you know the opportunities here

03:06and you're seeing the growth and you can just feel in the air the growth that's occurring here

03:11as the city is really developing i mean and it's developing because it has great political leadership

03:19and it wants to grow and it wants to be you know the kind of the model city for the future

03:26in this country and i don't and i think we're anybody living here can feel it it's a question

03:31how we communicate that to you know third parties into the rest of the country um can you talk a bit

03:38about the cleveland clinic and why that is also um something that was so important to you and how that

03:42will change things here you know i mean having a a great hospital or at least a very good hospital

03:49we don't have that here i mean you know the joke about palm beach living in west palm beach

03:55if you get sick where do you go the answer was to the airport you know so i mean we had to really

04:02you know correct that so um we were able to um get cleveland clinic there were a number of other

04:10hospitals that wanted to come um i mean we took the lead found the site for them um and really

04:18kicked off their campaign um they're going to build a uh a new 200 bed plus cancer center

04:25uh first class uh hospital uh much like they've done in london and in abu dhabi um and cleveland

04:34clinic has probably rated the first or second best hospital system in the country so having you know

04:40that type of brand vanderbilt that type of brand there's other you know and bringing that and showing

04:46what they see in the opportunities and the benefits of being here in south florida i think is very very

04:53important so education health care i mean these are both industries um whose workforce might have

05:00trouble affording parts of palm beach i mean how do you see tackling that issue um i started my career

05:08in building affordable housing and we're still today probably one of the largest owners of affordable

05:15housing uh in the country uh and you certainly you know you have to really tackle that and right

05:22now we are listening to stephen ross of course he is the ceo and chairman of related companies

05:27a real estate magnet of course also the owner of several sports teams including the miami dolphins
