00:00The Bureau of Internal Revenue, or BIR, set to collaborate with a popular short-form video platform

00:06to strengthen digital tax education and boost voluntary compliance.

00:11This as part of government's national tax campaign this year.

00:15Under the proposed collaboration, TikTok will support BIR in disseminating key tax messages

00:21through TikTok videos, including creator-led materials, which is expected during Tax Awareness Month.

00:28On the other hand, BIR will facilitate on-site and online workshops with TikTok.

00:34Discussions will include taxpayer registration, taxable income streams, filing and payment procedures,

00:41and common compliance issues.

00:43The BIR said that digital platforms are now essential to reach taxpayers, especially the new generations,

00:50as information dissemination in digital platforms is no longer optional, but necessary.

00:56The launch of official TikTok account of the BIR is expected in the coming weeks.
