00:00it was a weird day yesterday if you are a verizon customer 1.5 million customers of
00:08verizon went without service yesterday i mean and realize like what a toll that takes i couldn't
00:15send a text message um i couldn't make a phone call like there was no communication so for us
00:22at and tears like what was your phone saying on it like it would have a little picture of a
00:27satellite okay in the upper right hand corner and it would say sos oh where it like normally says
00:32like 5g or whatever in your bars yeah interesting yeah so then it's weird because i would go to make
00:37a phone call or send a text message and it would say you know like message undelivered or something
00:43um and then a little bar would pop up on the top of the screen saying try using satellite go outside
00:51and point your phone in this direction to connect with the satellite and then i thought like
00:57then that that screen wouldn't go away so you couldn't even read any of the tech you couldn't
01:02get out of the message that you were already in because that screen wouldn't go away but i thought
01:05if i do this like how much is that gonna cost me yeah right it doesn't say for an extra 99 cents like
01:12you can you know so it was weird because my family was all in different places right my husband's at
01:18home so he's got his wi-fi okay i was at the gym there was no wi-fi right capability at the gym
01:25where i was my daughter was driving my son to the dentist appointment and we're like we it's so weird
01:30to just suddenly not be able to talk to anyone yeah that's an uncomfortable feeling yeah and then i got
01:36used to it like once everybody got home i was like okay yeah i'm just you know i was inundated as soon
01:42as i pulled into my wi-fi area i was inundated with like 80 messages and i just turned flip my
01:50phone upside down and i said i am not going to deal with you today well we had a handyman come by our
01:55house to do some electrical and he walked in and he was like hey i was gonna call you but like my phone
01:59like has sos i don't really know what's going on with it and i kind of thought to myself like it was
02:03very much his right like roll yourself together maybe pay your bill yeah i was like what are you doing
02:10dude like and he was perfectly nice guy and he was like i paid him on venmo and he was like all
02:14right well i'll check if it goes through like later i guess yeah like right your phone isn't working
02:21anymore it was so weird so strange verizon did apologize for the inconvenience they say they
02:26don't see any indication that it was a cyber attack okay because that was the other thing that
02:30then starts going through my mind like is this just the beginning and how are we going to be able
02:34to cope with this um but they said they uh you know they're they're hoping that they'll be able
02:41to give some account credits to some people who realize that they were in a whole lot of trouble
02:46yesterday but that outage even affected 9-1-1 operation in a lot of that's really scary so that
02:52was a bad bad sit yeah it's one thing not be able to text your bill you know what i mean it's another
02:56thing to not be able to text the police right call 9-1-1 but i think everything is up and they say
03:02if you're not connected this morning turn your phone off and then turn it back on and it should
03:08be able to reconnect with
