00:04Does this mean?
00:06We're staying.
00:08Mr. McGinty, what brings you by?
00:11See how this works for you, Avery.
00:12Are you threatening a law enforcement officer?
00:15I thought we'd deal with him.
00:16Sometimes it's the old wounded line you've got to worry about.
00:20Do you want...
00:20Would you want to...
00:22You go first.
00:23Some of us were planning on going on a hike tomorrow to check the trail markers.
00:27How'd it work?
00:28I brought some stew and cornbread if we get hungry.
00:30Mr. Coulter gave me some extra trail markers.
00:32You've got plenty of time for hikes now.
00:36Is that smoke?
00:38We need to get the kids out of there.
00:40Allie's out there.
00:41Mama?
00:41It's okay. They'll all be home soon.
00:54You see any trail markers?
00:56Which way?
00:58They both go to the east ridge.
01:03Trail marker.
01:04Go.
01:11This smoke's getting worse.
01:14Here.
01:15Use this.
01:17We've got to cover our mouths.
01:18What if we can't find the way out?
01:25We've just got to keep pulling the trail markers.
01:29It's getting closer.
01:30We've got to get out of here.
01:32Come on.
01:32Okay, sorry.
01:34Here they are with the fire pump.
01:38Try to keep the main road clear?
01:40Absolutely.
01:41We've got to leave them room to get out.
01:42You stay safe, Leland Coulter.
01:44I will, sweetheart.
01:44I love you, Mike.
01:47I love you, my sweetest man.
01:50Wind's kicking up.
01:50We best get going.
01:52Cover the front entrance to the park.
01:59Don't worry about the children.
02:01They know those woods like the backs of their hands.
02:04So does Mountie Nathan.
02:06Don't be scared, Mrs. Canfield.
02:08Oh, thank you, little Jack.
02:12I'll try.
02:18I'm really scared, Ollie.
02:20Hey.
02:21Hey, we're going to be okay.
02:23Listen, I promise.
02:26Hey, do you hear that?
02:30Help!
02:31Help!
02:32We're here!
02:33We're here!
02:37Girls, are you all right?
02:38We're fine!
02:39Where's Cooper and Toby?
02:40We split up to cover more ground.
02:43They were marking the north ridge between Gibbons Canyon and the creek.
02:46I'm going to get the boys.
02:47Come on, come on, shoot.
02:49Oliver, Bill, get these girls out of here.
02:51Opal, let's go.
02:52Wait.
02:53Jack, no.
02:54I'm going with you.
02:55Allie, listen to me.
02:57It's going to be okay, all right?
02:58Everything will be all right.
03:00Okay?
03:01Oliver, get her back to town right now.
03:03Yes, sir?
03:05Be careful, Dad.
03:06I love you.
03:07I love you.
03:10Let's go, Allie.
03:10Come on.
03:15Hold on.
03:16Let's go, Allie.
03:16I love you.
03:21Allie, enjoy.
03:21Allie, enjoy.
03:21I love you too.
03:25Oh, thank goodness you're here.
03:55You're safe.
03:58Where are the boys?
03:59And your dad and Pastor Canfield?
04:02Cooper and Toby were up on the North Ranger.
04:05They were headed up towards him when we rode out.
04:09I'm so glad you girls are safe.
04:11Hey, hey, hey.
04:12Where do you think you're going?
04:13Back to help Constable Grant.
04:14Constable Grant can take care of himself.
04:16I need you to put together a brigade to extinguish roof fires.
04:20It's only a matter of time with those embers.
04:21Go on.
04:22Yes, sir.
04:26Bill.
04:27You okay?
04:29Bill.
04:30I guess I just breathe in too much of that smoke up in those mountains.
04:34What about a fire break?
04:35Has anyone started one?
04:36Lucas has a small army digging in Yarrow pasture.
04:39Good, good.
04:40Nathan and Joseph will get your boys back.
04:43Mark my word.
04:44There they are.
04:53Praise the Lord.
04:55I told you.
04:55I told you they can't.
04:57Boys, come on.
04:58Hop up.
04:59As fast as you can.
04:59Come on, Coop.
05:01Come on.
05:01Come on.
05:01Come on.
05:04Come on.
05:05Come on.
05:05Let's go.
05:07We're trapped.
05:14He's right.
05:15The fire's even worse behind us.
05:16Follow me down this way.
05:17That's right into the heart of the fire.
05:19Just trust me.
05:20Okay, hold on.
05:20Hold on, Coop.
05:21Come on.
05:21Come on.
05:30Everybody, keep widening out.
05:32Then why do we go?
05:33The last chance the fire's gonna jump the line.
05:42Please tell me you got the kids out.
05:45Just Allie and Opal so far.
05:47Then they have the boys.
06:04Oh, my heavens.
06:10Well, I'll be.
06:11Oh, indeed.
06:14Oh.
06:17Oh, my boy.
06:19Hi, my boy.
06:19Oh, my baby boy.
06:22You can call me that just this once.
06:32Oh, thank goodness you're all safe.
06:35Oh, I'm so worried.
06:37Mountain Nathan let us out along Chautauque Creek,
06:39which gave us a natural fire break.
06:42This man stays cool in the crisis.
06:45God bless you, Nathan.
06:47I'm just glad we got the boys back safe.
06:51Where's Allie?
06:52Oh, she's fine.
06:53She's in with Faith.
06:54And Dr. Carter would like to check out the boys as well,
06:56if you're ready.
06:57Oh, yes, yes.
06:58Come on.
06:58Come on.
06:59Come on.
07:07Nathan.
07:08How's the East Ridge holding up?
07:16It's just spot fires right now, but with this wind,
07:19I'm sorry to say, but your ranch is in danger.
07:22Then I have to save my animals.
07:25All right.
07:25I have to stay here with the town,
07:26but let me find you some help first, okay?
07:28There's no time.
07:29I'll be fine.
07:29Come on.
07:30Come on.
07:31They found them.
07:41All the kids are safe.
07:43Thank God.
07:45No thanks to us.
07:47Lee, I'm sure you did everything you could.
07:50Yes, we are.
07:51It's gone.
07:52Goldie's Park, your playhouse, all of that.
07:57I'm so sorry.
08:02Well, the children are safe, and that's all that matters.
08:07You're right.
08:08You're absolutely right.
08:09It's got to worry about the town now.
08:12Nathan.
08:14The wind up that ridge is starting to whip towards town.
08:16Same thing with the park entrance.
08:19I don't think we have a choice.
08:21Yeah, mandatory evacuation.
08:23I'll make an announcement on the radio.
08:24Okay.
08:27All right, everybody, listen up.
08:28This is a mandatory evacuation for all of Hope Valley.
08:31Take what you can and meet at the visitor center
08:33to join a caravan now.
08:34Let's go.
08:35Immediately, let's move.
08:38Elizabeth, we just called an evacuation.
08:40We heard.
08:41You need to grab the insulin.
08:44I'll get it.
08:44You've got to go.
08:46Pack a bag.
08:47I'll meet you at the visitor center as soon as I can.
08:50Okay, people, come on.
08:52Mandatory evacuation.
08:53We've got to get out of here as fast as we can.
08:57Grab your attention.
08:58Thank you all for your hard work,
09:00but we've called a mandatory evacuation.
09:01What?
09:02Take only what you can carry
09:03and meet at the visitor center to join a caravan.
09:05Now.
09:06Let's go.
09:07Lucas, I think you should know
09:09that Edie headed up to her ranch.
09:10What?
09:11When?
09:12About 10 minutes ago,
09:13and it's getting pretty bad over there.
09:15Thank you, Nathan.
09:16Let's go.
09:21Let's go.
09:22Ready?
09:23No!
09:31I know.
09:31It's okay.
09:32It's okay.
09:32It's okay.
09:34Edie!
09:34The entire East Ridge is burning.
09:36It's time to go.
09:37Just can't.
09:38Stop it!
09:38Okay, hold on.
09:41Stay here.
09:43Okay.
09:43You ready?
09:44One, two, three.
09:49Okay, back up.
09:50Back up.
09:51Ready?
09:53Oh, come on.
09:55Now.
09:56Come on.
09:57Come on.
10:00Let's get out of here.
10:01I can't.
10:02I gotta bring my cattle.
10:03Elizabeth, you made it.
10:15Wonderful.
10:16I got my baseball glove.
10:19Of course you did.
10:20Good job.
10:22I haven't had a chance to pack any of our things.
10:25I got your wedding photo, just in case.
10:28Elizabeth.
10:32You should go to the infirmary.
10:34Dr. Carter is packing up the insulin and putting it on ice for you.
10:38In the middle of all this, you're thinking of us.
10:40And you're thinking of us.
10:41It's what we do.
10:45I will see you in Jameson at the Crown Hotel, all right?
10:48All right.
10:49Let's go.
10:50Let's go.
10:55So, how are we making out?
10:56Well, we have caravans ready to go at the North Road and by the old Derek.
11:01Everyone is accounted for except Edie Martell and...
11:04Lucas!
11:06Lee!
11:07Thank you, sir.
11:09Whoa.
11:10Well, that's everyone.
11:11While we were up there, we saw the fire moving.
11:14Over the ridge.
11:16Away from Hope Valley.
11:17Are you sure about that?
11:19Look.
11:21The wind is shifting enough vapor.
11:23It's moving east.
11:26What's the word, Mr. Mayor?
11:27You ready to head out?
11:28Uh, hold on, fellas.
11:31Change of plans.
11:32Here, Joseph, help me up.
11:34All right, everyone, listen up.
11:36The wind is carrying the fire eastward, so for now, we're going to stand down on the evacuation.
11:41But I want to keep digging that fire break in Yarrow Pasture, and everybody stay alert, okay?
11:45That wind could shift again at any second.
11:48All right, let's look lively, people.
11:49Come on.
11:50Go inform the caravans, Constable.
11:51Yes, sir.
11:53Did you say the fire is moving east?
11:55Yeah.
11:55With a vengeance.
11:57But that's towards Benson Hills.
12:00My mother, my sisters.
12:01I'll make an announcement on the radio, warning everyone in the valley, offering Hope Valley
12:07a sanctuary.
12:08That's a good idea, sweetheart.
12:10Don't worry.
12:12We have an extra fire pumper.
12:14I could take it to Benson Hills.
12:15Maybe it'll help.
12:16Yeah, but you can't do that by yourself, Michael.
12:18I'll go, too.
12:20Sweetheart, you don't have to.
12:21Yes, I do.
12:22You're going to need a third.
12:23Once more into the breach.
12:25Last I heard, Christopher is headed that direction.
12:28I'd like to go check in on him.
12:30All right, good.
12:32I'll call your sister, make sure she knows the fire is headed their way.
12:34Let's go.
12:37Hey, Benson Hills is going to need all the help we can get.
12:40You think you and the kid can hold a fort down?
12:41We got it.
12:42You just watch your back, Constable.
12:44To all those in Benson Hills who can hear my voice, you must prepare to evacuate.
12:54The winds have shifted, and your town is now in the path of the fire.
12:58Please, listen to your local officials.
13:02Stay alert.
13:03Florence, can you get me the mayor's office in Benson Hills, please?
13:06Know, dear neighbors, that we here in Hope Valley are ready to accept you with open arms.
13:11We are here for you in your time of need.
13:15Please, once again, listen to your local officials.
13:19Stay alert.
13:21Watch out for your family and neighbors.
13:24And stay safe.
13:32Elizabeth.
13:34I'm heading to Benson Hills to help.
13:36Of course you are.
13:38Be careful, Dad.
13:39I will.
13:40I don't know when I'll be back, but don't worry.
13:44Well, that's asking a lot.
13:47You help Elizabeth with whatever she needs.
13:49Of course.
13:51And you, kiddo, you look after your mom.
13:53Yes, sir, Mom, to Nathan.
13:57You come back to me, Nathan Grant.
14:00Always.
14:00Always.
14:00Always.
14:00Always.
14:10Elizabeth, we're going to be taking in evacuees from Benson Hills, so I could really use your help organizing food, shelter.
14:17I'll take care of it.
14:17Don't worry.
14:18Okay, great.
14:19Rosemary's just about finished on the radio, so when she's done, I'm sure she'll come find you.
14:22I'll find her.
14:23Okay, even better.
14:23Thank you so much.
14:30Everyone, please listen up.
14:34The fire evacuees from Benson Hills will be arriving soon, so we'll officially be turning our visitor's center into, well, exactly that, just for different visitors than we expected.
14:43I'm going to need everyone's help.
14:45Of course.
14:46Of course.
14:48All right, everyone.
14:50That wind can turn on a dime, so let's dig like Hope Valley depends on it.
14:59Because it just might.
15:05Minnie?
15:06Hi.
15:06Hi.
15:07I know it's asking a lot, but these evacuees are going to need a hot meal, which I am more than happy to cook.
15:12Oh, you are incredible.
15:15I'll help you prep, and then we can figure out reimbursement.
15:19I got my boy back today, Elizabeth.
15:21I don't need anything else.
15:26Oh, no.
15:27The power.
15:28Thank goodness we still have these old wood stoves.
15:31Yes, thank goodness.
15:33Um.
15:34Oh.
15:35You've got a million things to do.
15:37I'll get Cooper to help.
15:40Of course.
15:42Faith, I'm sorry to bother you, but the backup generator is on.
15:53It is.
15:54I know it's supposed to be, but...
15:56That's right.
15:58I turned it on the minute the power was interrupted.
16:01Little Jack's medicine is ready when he needs it.
16:03That's amazing.
16:07Welcome to a tier one insulin clinic.
16:13All right.
16:18Elizabeth, Rosemary, please, put me to work.
16:21You're so sweet, Edie.
16:22You can join our folding party.
16:26Everything's covered in ash.
16:28A little shake helps.
16:29Got it.
16:30Maybe this is ash from my ranch.
16:33I'm sorry.
16:34That was very grim.
16:35I think grim is allowed, given the circumstances.
16:37Looks like we have our first group of arrivals.
16:46Ladies?
16:46They're here, everybody.
16:47Let's go.
16:57Oh, goodness.
16:58There's so many.
17:04Welcome.
17:05I'm-I'm Mayor Coulter.
17:06We have food.
17:07We have shelter.
17:09Blankets.
17:09Everything you need.
17:10Please.
17:10Please.
17:10We're very happy to have you.
17:12All are welcome.
17:12We are blessed to be your sanctuary.
17:14God is our refuge and strength.
17:17The very present help in trouble.
17:18Oh, listen.
17:19Do you like a blanket?
17:24Maisie.
17:25Thank goodness you're okay.
17:26It's badly.
17:27The fire is chewing up absolutely everything.
17:31I was the last one out.
17:33What about your sisters?
17:35Oh, two in Buxton.
17:36The other two with Mother and Jameson.
17:37Good.
17:38We have got evacuees all over.
17:41Mayor Hickam, everyone in Hope Valley is here for you.
17:44Whatever you need.
17:45Absolutely.
17:46Thank you, dear.
17:48There is something.
17:50Constable Grant is close behind with a girl.
17:52Her name's Gwendolyn.
17:54There they are.
17:55Her father is missing.
17:58Oh.
17:58The constable was kind enough to take her.
18:02Well, I'll check in on her.
18:03Please.
18:04Let me take that away.
18:06Come with me.
18:13Welcome home, constable.
18:14I see you brought a new friend.
18:15Yeah, sure did.
18:19This must be Gwendolyn.
18:20Gwendolyn, this is Mrs. Thornton.
18:22She's the teacher here in Hope Valley.
18:24You're safe now, sweetheart.
18:26I want my dad.
18:29Of course you do.
18:31Mayor Hickam told me all about him.
18:33Hey, listen to me.
18:38I'm about to head back up over that hill,
18:40and I'm going to do everything in my power
18:42to find your father, okay?
18:44I give you my promises about him.
18:52How about we find you someplace to rest?
18:56We can get you a hot meal.
18:58Biscuits.
19:05Here you go.
19:06Please take a biscuit.
19:07Your table's right over there in the saloon.
19:10Okay, so a family of four,
19:13you'll be with Linda Rubens.
19:15She has more than enough room for you all.
19:19If you need anything, anything at all,
19:21just ask for me personally.
19:23And that goes for you too, kids.
19:25Hey, hold on.
19:26I think you actually have something.
19:28Sorry, don't mind me.
19:29Yeah, you did.
19:31That's a funny place to keep a nickel, sweetheart.
19:35You think she has one too?
19:37Yeah.
19:38Did you find out?
19:39Yeah.
19:39It's just right in behind the...
19:41Hey, she does indeed.
19:45Isn't that something?
19:47This might be the worst day in these kids' lives,
19:49and they can still laugh.
19:52Because I need to.
19:53Do you think it would be too frivolous
19:55to ask Lucas to put on a show
19:57for all of the children
19:58once they're set and fed for the night?
20:01I think a show is exactly
20:03what these kids need tonight.
20:05You're welcome.
20:19And here you go, sir.
20:23Oh, sorry, sir.
20:25It's one can each, not the whole box.
20:28Yeah, I saw the sign.
20:29Sir, sir, sir, you need to give that back.
20:37Hey, you mustn't have heard my friend Ned.
20:41I heard Ned just fine.
20:42Easy, baby.
21:01Easy.
21:02Sir, stop right there.
21:04You're under arrest for disturbing the peace
21:06and attacking an RCMP officer.
21:08Is that so, kid?
21:09You can call me Constable Garrett.
21:14Give me that box.
21:15I ain't asking twice.
21:16You heard the constable.
21:22Here you go, Mr. Yost.
21:24Much obliged.
21:26Arrest this man, Constable Garrett.
21:28Yes, sir, Judge Avery.
21:29Bill, are you all right?
21:44Bill, let's get you to the infirmary.
21:46Very good idea.
21:49All right, children, come, come.
21:52Have a seat.
21:53Come down front.
21:54It's time for the show.
21:56Hurry, hurry.
21:57Everybody gets settled.
21:58The show is about to start.
22:00Get ready for magic, children.
22:02Sweetie, after the show,
22:04you'll come back to my house
22:05with little Jack and me, okay?
22:07And how'll my dad find me?
22:10I'll just wait here for him.
22:13Okay, well, I hope you like the show.
22:19Well, you've drawn quite a crowd.
22:22Is it strange that I'm nervous?
22:24On the contrary, it would be strange if you weren't.
22:26Not once have I strode the boards
22:29and not felt that tingle of butterflies.
22:32It's what awakens the showwoman or showman,
22:36as the case may be.
22:39Ready?
22:42Welcome, friends.
22:44I know you're all scared right now.
22:46None of us could have predicted
22:47that we'd all be gathered here tonight
22:49under these circumstances.
22:50But lucky for us,
22:52we have a governor who is prepared
22:54at a moment's notice
22:56not only to lead us,
22:58but also to dazzle us
23:01with magic.
23:03Oh!
23:04Ooh!
23:08Introducing...
23:09Governor Bouchard!
23:17Ladies and gentlemen,
23:20children of all ages,
23:22I give you
23:23the world-famous
23:25disappearing handkerchief.
23:28Ooh!
23:33On the floor!
23:34On the floor?
23:36What do you mean it's on the floor?
23:39You're right.
23:39It is on the floor.
23:40You know what?
23:43I know what happened there.
23:46I, uh, I waved my hand
23:48when I should have
23:49snapped my fingers.
23:51Silly me.
23:57We're on the floor!
23:59Thank you very much.
24:01Have a lovely evening.
24:02Remains on the...
24:05Can't...
24:05It can't possibly be...
24:07It is...
24:08It is on the floor again.
24:09Oh, my...
24:10Well...
24:10Okay.
24:11Well, uh,
24:12let's say we give this
24:13one more shot.
24:14Shall we try again?
24:16Okay.
24:18See if we can really
24:19make this handkerchief
24:21disappear.
24:25Oh, my goodness,
24:28it really is.
24:29Thank you for catching that.
24:31That's not right, is it?
24:32Well...
24:33Oh, my God!
24:39Oh, my God!
24:39Oh, my God!
24:41Oh, my God!
24:41Oh, my God!
24:42Oh, my God!
24:43Wonderful!
24:43Wonderful!
24:44Wonderful!
24:45Okay.
24:45For my next trick,
24:47I will make the world-famous
24:49handkerchief reappear
24:50right before your eyes.
24:52Poof!
24:53Oh, my goodness,
24:55As I said, move, I should, but let me start this again.
24:59Go, move!
25:25All right, have fun with Talia tonight.
25:38I love you, sweetest Lily.
25:39I love you too, Auntie Faith.
25:45Have fun.
25:46Be good.
25:49Whoa.
25:49I hate not being with her, but with the infirmary full, it's just...
25:57Faith, you are a godsend, and I think that Lily knows just how important your work is.
26:04We're all so grateful for you tonight.
26:06Well, not everyone.
26:08Oh, how's Bill?
26:10He is resting peacefully, if grumpily.
26:13In fact, I should probably get back to him before he leads a revolt.
26:18What a night.
26:21My goodness.
26:22I'm to think it's only your second night home.
26:24How are you?
26:25Well, I'm feeling very lucky that we still have a home.
26:29We're happy to take LJ tonight so you can stay.
26:32Speaking of home, I think we might have a problem.
26:35Gwendolyn's father still hasn't turned up, and she won't leave the saloon until he does.
26:39Oh, the poor dear.
26:42I think that's the first time she's smiled since she got here.
26:49Goldie has that effect on people.
26:51I have an idea.
26:57Gwendolyn, I'd like to introduce you to Mrs. Coulter, Goldie's mom.
27:07Hi.
27:08She has a funny laugh.
27:10She does.
27:11She does, doesn't she?
27:13Goldie's father and I need a babysitter for Goldie.
27:16Do you think that's something you might be able to help us with?
27:19It would mean staying in our home.
27:21But we'd bring your dad straight to you as soon as he arrives.
27:27I mean, if you need the help, I guess I could.
27:31Wonderful.
27:33Sorry, I couldn't resist.
28:02We had extra popcorn.
28:05Thanks, uh, sorry I missed it.
28:08It was mostly for the kids.
28:10You're a real Mountie now.
28:12I guess.
28:15You guess?
28:17First arrest.
28:18That's big.
28:20Plus, you know, you kind of saved my life.
28:23I don't know about that.
28:24I mean, there was no way I was going to know anything happened to you.
28:27And you would have found your way out on your own anyway.
28:32I'm not so sure about that.
28:36I couldn't even find my way to talking like a normal person yesterday.
28:40I thought that was just me.
28:41Pretty sure it was both of us.
28:43Why were we so weird?
28:45So weird!
28:46Okay, um, I should go.
28:51I promised Elizabeth I wouldn't be too long since she needs help at the visitor center.
28:57So.
28:58Allie, wait.
28:59Yeah?
29:00Back when I was riding up to look for you in the fire, the only thing I could think about
29:09was that I didn't get to say what I meant to say when you first got back.
29:14I really missed you this summer, Allie.
29:19I really missed you too, Oliver.
29:33That your girlfriend?
29:36No.
29:37I mean, none of your business.
29:39Sure seemed like your girlfriend.
29:41I'm so glad you're safe.
30:07We waited up all night for you.
30:12You all look like you've been in a war.
30:14You were.
30:16Did you find my dad?
30:20I did, yeah.
30:22He told me to tell you he loves you very much, and he's gonna come get you as soon as he can.
30:26Why not now?
30:28He's in the hospital in Buxton.
30:33Can I see him?
30:34Not right now.
30:35The doctors want to be careful with infections, so there's no visitors for the next few weeks.
30:40We'll take you to Buxton as soon as he's ready.
30:45Bless you, Constable Grant.
30:52Now give it to me straight.
30:55How's my town?
30:56I'm sorry to report, Mayor Hickam, but it's bad.
31:00How bad?
31:02The embers overwhelmed the fire line we were digging.
31:07Kent, every time we got the building fires under control, the heat and the embers would reignite it.
31:13Your fire crew, the volunteers, all of us, we did everything we could, but half the houses are gone. Your main street is destroyed.
31:23Amazing. I'm so sorry.
31:32The good news is everyone's accounted for.
31:36There's a few injuries, but there's no fatalities.
31:39Well, that's a blessing, at least.
31:43Fire has almost burned itself out.
31:46As you just know, the town acted as a natural firebreak.
31:51You can't go back.
31:54Not right now.
31:56Go back to what?
31:59Maisie.
32:05You'll rebuild, and we will be right there beside you every step of the way. I promise you that.
32:13Thank you, Mayor Coulter.
32:15Of course.
32:16Constable Grant.
32:18Thank you all.
32:27Now, I guess I better go break the news.
32:34Excuse me.
32:43Dad!
32:44Allie.
32:45I'm so glad you're back.
32:49Yeah.
32:50Me too.
32:52Me too.
32:53Me too.
32:54Good morning.
32:55Good morning.

33:05Sleep here?
33:06Actually, I did.
33:07You realize we are standing in a hotel room.
33:08I didn't want to take a room from a family who may have lost everything.
33:20You do realize...
33:21I...
33:22I...
33:23I...
33:24I...
33:25I know.
33:26I guess I'm just not quite ready to face that.
33:29Well, maybe you didn't lose everything.
33:30One of Uncle Ernie's gold coins.
33:31One of Uncle Ernie's gold coins.
33:32I held onto it for good luck, but it belongs to you.
33:35This coin was stolen by the garrison gang.
33:36Hanging onto it is a federal crime.
33:37Well, it's a good thing I know a very good lawyer.
33:49one of uncle ernie's gold coins i held onto it for good luck but it belongs to you

38:19When the lights go out, it inevitably makes you realize you take them for granted most
38:43of the time.
38:44Like so much of life that, of course, is never guaranteed but seems immutable.
38:51Like when I lost Jack and it felt like things would never be the same ever again.
38:57But eventually, I found my way back to a different but just as meaningful normal.
39:03And then came little Jack's diagnosis last fall.
39:08At first, it felt too big to ever overcome.
39:14But at some point, you have to look up, take in the new landscape and begin to accept that
39:20although it is indeed changed forever, something beautiful can still rise from the ashes.
39:29The fire was a far-reaching tragedy and I don't think any of us can quite yet comprehend
39:38all that's changed.
39:41The flames cruelly stole from so many, not only their past, but the future as well.
39:50We will rebuild, but first we have to mourn.
39:58Fellas, thank you for coming out so late.
40:05Of course.
40:06What's on your mind, Lee?
40:07I can't stop thinking about how that fire could have started.
40:13There's a lot of ways that fire could have started.
40:19Bill, I-I don't know about that.
40:22I don't know.
40:23There was no lightning.
40:24Trains weren't anywhere near that ridge.
40:26There's nothing that could have sparked.
40:31What are you getting at here, Lee?
40:33How does a national park burn down the night before it opens?
40:36Hmm?
40:38Do any of you actually think this is a coincidence?
40:44I assure you, Lee, we're gonna-we're gonna look into this.
40:48Okay.
40:49Good.
40:50I'm glad.
40:51But I'm here to tell you you're not gonna have to look any further than A.J. McGinty.
40:57We already know he was the one behind the vandalism this summer.
41:00And there he was, right in the middle of Main Street, taunting us just hours before the
41:05fire started.
41:06And then when that didn't quench his fury over losing his precious grazing rights,
41:12just like that, decided to burn it all down.
41:15I, for one, will not rest until that man is behind bars.
41:42We, we're
41:47No.
41:47We, we're
41:48We.
41:48You.
41:49We.
41:50otro
41:50tak
