00:00Escalating anti-government protests have swept through Iran and the world, sparked by an economic
00:10crisis. A protester was filmed climbing a balcony at the Iranian embassy in London during protests
00:16on January 10th, 2026. He was seen ripping the Islamic Republic flag down. In its place,
00:23he held up the Lion and Sun flag.
00:30The Lion and Sun flag had been Iran's official national flag before the 1979 revolution. Two
00:41protesters in London were arrested, but Metropolitan Police did not confirm whether the person on the
00:47balcony was among those arrested. At least 2,000 people have been killed during the demonstrations
00:52in Iran. The Iranian government has accused the US of seeking to manufacture a reason for
00:59military intervention. Meanwhile, during protests in Los Angeles on January 11th, a U-Haul truck was
01:06filmed driving through crowds as the gathered demonstrators shout Bisharaf at the driver.
01:11The word means shame in Persian. According to local police, one man was injured as a result of
01:18being struck by the vehicle. Many in the crowd chased after the truck, smashing at its windows
01:24and attacking the driver. The driver was later apprehended by police.
