Bobi Wine warns of protests if Uganda election is rigged

Rights groups including the United Nations and Amnesty International have accused Ugandan authorities of cracking down on dissent ahead of the vote, citing arrests of Wine’s supporters.

00:00Uganda's opposition leader Bobby Wine has warned that he will call for mass protests
00:06if President Yoweri Museveni rigs this week's presidential election
00:10as more than 20 million Ugandas prepare to vote unthirstly.
00:23We have said it many times that if General Museveni rigs the election
00:29we shall call for protests. We have put him on notice, we've put the people of Uganda on notice
00:35and we are not actually just going to call for protests then.
00:39We codenamed this election protest vote and we have called upon the people of Uganda to take charge.
00:47Wine insisted that opposition is winning popular support
00:50but questioned whether power will be peacefully transferred.
