A wife surprised her husband by buying back his first-ever truck and filling it with photos of their 11-month-old to make new memories of their own. Tawny Allen, 26, from Salt Lake City, Utah, said her husband, Trevor, 27, always dreamed of having his own truck, and shortly after they started dating, in 2019, Trevor purchased an old 1995 Ford F150. Tawny said Trevor loved the truck, but after selling it to upgrade to a newer F150, he kept talking about his regrets – saying he would buy it back if he ever sold it for sale. In reality, he and Tawny both never expected to come across it again. But then, one day, Trevor saw an ad on Facebook that he was certain was his old truck, as the scratch marks, toolbox, and handles he had changed all matched up. He messaged Tawny but also understood his predicament: the couple were in the process of buying a new house, and he didn't think he would be able to sell a current vehicle quick enough to buy his old truck back before it was sold. But Tawny had other ideas. As she is a stay-at-home mom and not tied to the housing purchase finances, she and her father secretly went to buy the truck while Trevor was away for work. Tawny, a portrait photographer, then decided to take a series of loving shots with the couple's 11-month-old son, Bayker, around the truck, placing those images in the dash. Then, on November 26, Trevor returned from work to discover his old truck on his driveway with a big bow around it and Tawny and Bayker waiting on the drive. With Tawny recording on her cellphone, a beaming Trevor walked up to his old vehicle with a huge smile on his face, saying to Bayker, "Your mom is crazy!"
