00:00This is such a fascinating football game because you have the defending Super Bowl champions
00:04booked as six-point favorites against the San Francisco 49ers.
00:09And situationally, everything about this, Joe, suggests Philly is here to get the job done
00:15and will get the job done, but they have had a lot of stressful moments this year,
00:20a lot of close games where the offense leaves you wondering,
00:23what are you looking for in this matchup between the Eagles and Niners?
00:27So the defending Super Bowl champs to kick it into playoff type of intensity,
00:31and I really honestly believe that they'll do that today.
00:35I believe in Jalen Hurts. I believe in Saquon Barkley.
00:39I know the rushing attack hasn't been as consistent as everyone would have liked this year,
00:44certainly not as dominant as they were last year with the 2,000-yard performance out of Saquon
00:50and just an MVP-esque type of season.
00:53But I think with the playoffs now starting, you're going to start to see that offensive line
00:59and you're going to start to see that rushing attack take over.
01:03And I honestly, when I think about the season and I think about how it played out
01:08and I think about the last month, month and a half,
01:11and here we are with the week off of prep for this game, I think it's a big Saquon game.
01:17I think he could potentially break out 90, 100-plus as number 79-and-a-half.
01:22I expect them to run at will on a very undermanned front seven of San Francisco.
01:28And I think when you look at San Francisco, yeah, they could put up points
01:33and they can obviously stress a defense, but it's all predicated on Christian McCaffrey
01:38and it's all predicated as well on them running the football to some success.
01:43And I think that's the matchup where they're going to struggle today.
01:47I think Jalen Carter and that front seven are going to buckle up.
01:50I think they're going to force Brock Purdy into long third-down situations,
01:54a la the way Seattle did in that last regular season win.
01:58And I think they batter him today. I really do.

02:03I don't know if I can get there on the total side just because I don't know
02:08what we're going to get out of San Francisco.
02:10But I do feel Philly is good for at least a 24 spot today, 27.
02:16So this is a very interesting spot.

02:23Look, people probably expect certain things from me when the Eagles games come up.
02:28OK, but I think you and I know that usually it is you who will be like
02:32the Eagles are going to slaughter this team.
02:34And I'm like, but this feels like a spot where the Eagles should maul
02:39the San Francisco 49ers and just about every single thing that when you break
02:46this game down pushes that direction.
02:50The Eagles have looked like I would say the best defense in football, no worse
02:54than third best defense in football since the bye week acquiring Jalen Phillips.
02:58They offensively leave a lot of people wondering how is it going to look, except that was the
03:08case last year.
03:09I know Saquon had a much different season, but people enter the postseason saying, can
03:13the Eagles score enough to win a Super Bowl and then literally scored the single most points
03:18by a team in a single postseason run.
03:20That's what Philly did last year.
03:23They offensively, while they have not had a great Saquon year and they've had some unbelievable
03:30passing halves where Hurts doesn't complete a pass.
03:33They have also had some big passing games.
03:37Jalen Hurts, I believe, finishes the only quarterback all season to have a perfect passer rating in
03:41a game this year.

03:44Dallas Goddard has turned into a touchdown machine.
03:47We expect Lane Johnson, I believe, to play in this football game, and they are going
03:52up against a Niners defense that is atrocious.

04:01football game 42-38, and we had talked about the takeaways and what mattered, and you and
04:06I had different takeaways, not conflicting, just we were focused on different things.
04:11You were focused on what the Bears showed you, and probably a big reason why you trusted
04:15Chicago.
04:16I, as somebody who had Niners futures tickets, lost all faith in them, despite the win.
04:22They're not going to go on a playoff run scoring 40 a game.
04:24Their defense was awful in that game, and they were lifeless.
04:28They were lifeless, Joe, against the Chicago Bears.
04:31I understand they got a late stop.
04:33The clock just ran out.
04:35So the only way the Niners, to me, can win this game is if their offense is dominant, and
04:41they just played what essentially might as well have been a do-or-die game against Seattle
04:46at home, their offense scored three points.

05:01I don't think San Francisco can score the necessary amount in order for them to pull off this upset
