00:04Every year, Elvis Fever takes over when impersonators and fans of the Memphis King of rock and roll
00:10board the Elvis Express from Central Station, bound for the regional New South Wales town of Parks.
00:17For the last two years, I've been told how incredible this festival is.
00:21And I've been in Australia a few times over the last couple of years,
00:24and everyone's said, oh, you're going to Parks, you're going to Parks, you're going to Parks?
00:26And I've always been like, no, no, I'm not going.
00:28So I've made the conscious decision to come this year, and I'm already thankful that I've come.
00:33Despite the heatwave conditions across the state, the 2026 festival from January 7th to 11th
00:39has seen no slowdown in participants.
00:42This year's festival theme is Love Me Tender, paying homage to the 1956 film starring the one and only Elvis Presley.
00:52The songs have got beautiful words, and so when you see couples sitting together
00:57and young people walking past, enjoying the rock and roll music, it's about tapping in to the actual song itself.
