Hundreds of Elvis fans have made the annual train pilgrimage from Sydney to the annual festival celebrating the King of Rock and Roll. The event in Parkes, now in its 33rd year, is expected to attract more than 25,000 people.

00:09Travelling with all the rest of the would-be kings, why not?

00:16The destination for these rock and rollers, parks for the annual Elvis Festival.

00:21First time on the train, I ticked it off my bucket list.

00:25Yeah, I'm the first time away from Cairns and we're enjoying the day.

00:28Drink plenty of water, so we can sing our hearts out.

00:32Some outfits were a little more practical than others.

00:35So I can sit down, I don't know if I can sit down for seven hours, but I'll try.

00:44While a roster of Elvis tribute artists followed the crowds into the carriages.

00:52It's a seven hour sing-along for this trainload of Elvis fans heading west.

00:56And this is just the warm-up act.

00:58But for many of these fans, the Elvis Express is the only way to truly bring the spirit of the king of rock and roll to parks.
