00:00Crowds gathered in Minneapolis on Wednesday to protest and hold a vigil for a woman killed
00:05during the Trump administration's latest immigration crackdown as anger mounted over the use of
00:12force by federal officers.
00:14The 37-year-old woman was shot in the head by an immigration and customs enforcement officer
00:20during an operation in a snowy residential neighborhood south of downtown.
00:25Federal officials said the shooting was an act of self-defense, but Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey
00:32described it as reckless and unnecessary.
00:36The killing, which was captured on a vigil by witness, happened just blocks from historic
00:42immigration markets and about a mile from where George Floyd was killed by police in 2020.
