00:00President Ferdinand R. Marquez, Jr. also strengthened the Regional Development Council of the country.

00:05It is under the auspices of the Executive Order No. 82,

00:09which will make the country's economy stronger and faster.

00:12Under this, the RDCs are regulated as the highest planning and policy-making body

00:18for the socio-economic development of the regions.

00:20The RDCs are formed by governors, mayors,

00:24representatives from the private sector,

00:25and other government officials.

00:27Each RDC will have an Executive Committee to speed up the decisions.

00:32The role of the private sector representatives from different sectors

00:37such as agriculture, infrastructure, and energy is also clarified.

00:41The Regional Investment Programming was also strengthened

00:44and regulated by the National Economic and Development Authority

00:47and the Department of Budget and Management

00:49to ensure proper funding for regional development programs.

00:54Projects and programs approved by the RDCs were also prioritized by government agencies.

01:00The initial RDCs funds will come from NEDA and DBM

01:04and the following years will be included in the national budget.
