Man rescued after 40km muddy trek in QLD floods

00:00The tasking that we received was this gentleman had set on his journey

00:04from Toowoomba up to Hillenden, had gone down this road.

00:08That was essentially quite damaged from the floods

00:12and the amount of rain that this area has received,

00:14which essentially resulted in him becoming a bolt and stuck.

00:19But luckily, when we did get down low, we spotted foot tracks,

00:23but he must have been carrying at least two, three kilograms of mud

00:26on each foot for a while.

00:27I think the crew was mainly gobsmacked that this gentleman achieved 38 kilometres,

00:33basically in the time that he had.

00:36As we landed on, we saw this gentleman had his phone, it looked flat,

00:39he had no shoes on, no water, no food, it was just him.

00:44So I was very lucky that we got to him when we did.
