HAPPY NEW YEAR!  Sands Films Music Room first concert for 2026!  We are welcoming back the    Aspidistra Drawing Room Orchestra’s New Year Concert   The Aspidistra Drawing Room Orchestra returns to our Music Room for the fifth time for their New Year’s Concert. Aspidistra consists of string quartet, piano, flute and oboe and has been praised for its joyous interpretation of unjustly neglected Palm Court music. This year’s programme includes works by Haydn Wood, Irving Berlin, Jacob Gade, Leroy Anderson, Mátyás Seiber and Sigmund Romberg. The evening is the perfect recipe for forgetting any miseries of 2025 and facing 2026 with renewed energy.   Expect a lively start to the new year with a programme of memorable melodies and charming songs.

00:01:23in the previous year. But we decided not to do that this year. Far too depressing. So

00:01:30instead, with selected music, it will help start 2026 on a positive note. We won't have

00:01:36an interval because the people at home might switch off. But we're happy to meet people

00:01:42in the pub afterwards. And sorry, people at home, we can have a virtual pint with you.
