00:00No Air was something that was played for me, but I was like, I have to have this song.
00:06Wait, did you have to fight people for it?
00:08Wait, are there any other artists that potentially was going to go to?
00:11Well, it was with an artist already.
00:13The guy, his name is James Fauntleroy.
00:15He's amazing, and he's written so many hits.
00:18But he, I think, was going to do an artist project, or he was saving it as something for him to do.
00:22And so they played his writing demo, and I was like...
00:26I need this.
00:27Yes, but I was like, I know that I can sing this song.
00:31I know I can tell this story.
00:34I have to have it.
00:35And so it took a couple months, but then we got the song, and it was a solo.
00:39Oh, wow.
00:40It was a solo song first.
00:42Is that version out there somewhere?
00:43No, but it's on a few laptops ago of mine.
00:48I do have it somewhere.
00:49Maybe I got to go find it.
00:50Oh, we got to release no Air Jordan's version.
00:52Yes, and so it was a solo, and then we were looking through the discography,
00:56and they were like, hey, we realize there's not a collaboration or a feature on this album.
01:01You're like, yes, I'm talented.
01:03Thank you for doing that.
01:04Yes.
01:05But they were like, there's no feature, and who would you want to do a song with?
01:10No Air would be a perfect do-it, and I was like, Chris Brown.
01:12At the time, it was just no question, and we were on the same label,
01:17so it made it, it was pretty convenient to be like, hey, what's he doing?
01:21Knocked on the door.
01:22Hey, neighbor.
01:22So the first time I heard the song with him on it, I screamed my head off for like 30 minutes.
01:27I'm so.
