00:00That'll be the matchup at 12 o'clock, Oregon and Texas Tech.
00:04Texas Tech with the biggest and best front seven in the college football playoff.
00:09We're seeing now Oregon only a one and a half point favorite.
00:12Talk to me about the offensive philosophy of Dan Lanning and their quarterback, Dante
00:17Moore, attacking that defense today.
00:19Well, Oregon likes to run.
00:21We know that.
00:21And I think the running game against one of the best, if not the best front sevens, is
00:26going to problem that.
00:27I think Dante Moore, if they're going to get the needed running game, it's got to come
00:31from their quarterback.
00:32When you have a great run defense, quite often that doesn't cover up a quarterback that can
00:37scramble well.
00:38Look for that to be a factor.
00:40But also, I think there won't be many drives.
00:42I think the running game and the defense in front will offset each other.
00:46Both teams will lead the nation one and two in explosive deep balls, but they're also very
00:50good at stopping them.
00:51So I think there's not going to be a lot of drives.
00:53I think whoever hits the most deep balls, one or two explosive plays, can win the game
00:57on that type of play as opposed to sustained drives.
01:01But when it comes down to it, I'm going to go with Texas Tech.
01:03I'm going to go with that defense over the running game offense of Oregon.
01:08Talking to Coach Terry Bowden here, I love the insight, Coach, that we can get from you
01:11because we're having an issue right now in the college football playoff.
01:14It seems like the bye week teams are struggling here and now sit at 0 and 5.
01:19You've been through preparation weeks.
01:20Everybody likes to be a creature of habit.
01:21What could be going wrong with some of these teams that just aren't playing week to week
01:25and getting those slow starts like we saw yesterday from Ohio State?
01:29Experience, experience, experience.
01:31You have to be experienced in getting two or three weeks off.
01:34That's unusual.
01:35And the teams that had a bye week have to approach differently.
01:39You know, back when there was only a BCS or you took a month off for every major bowl,
01:43you kind of had a good plan.
01:44My dad was the leading coach in the country for winning bowl games because he knew how to play
01:49that, but the key is you've got to learn how not to overpractice, how to take off early,
01:54practice late, get to the home, to the bowl side at the right time, to the playoff side
01:58at the right time, and make sure your best football is played on game day.
02:02And a lot of these coaches haven't had enough experience at that.
02:05We're not doing Ole Miss right now in Georgia, but Georgia's coach has that kind of experience.
02:09But that's the big problem.
02:11When you have too much time off, you end up playing your game before the game starts.
