Isshin-Ryu Karate is a widely practiced style that was developed by combining elements from several traditional systems, most notably Shorin-Ryu Karate. Following its establishment, many Okinawan Karate masters were initially reluctant to recognize it as a legitimate style. Nevertheless, Isshin-Ryu forged its own path and has since gained broad acceptance and popularity around the world.
