00:00I am going to check out the car which is in my driveway right now. So here the car is. It's huge
00:06which I'm excited about since we're going on a camping trip. Hi everyone I'm Morgan Leet with
00:11Narcity and today is a really exciting day because I'm going to try out Truro for the first time.
00:15Truro is basically like the Airbnb but for car rentals. So they gave me a Jeep Wrangler to try
00:20out for the weekend to drive through the mountains of BC to a campsite where I'm going to spend the
00:24weekend. I'm super excited to rate them on the booking experience, the service itself, and of
00:29course the car too. Let's go. Okay so first we're going to look at the booking experience process.
00:34Honestly the website is really user friendly. You can look around on the map view of it and see all
00:38the cars in your location. They also have the price points there too so you can filter if you want
00:43something less expensive or if you're looking for like a luxury ride you can do that too. I thought
00:48it was really easy to go through, look at the photos, all the features of every car, filter through them
00:54and see what you wanted. Then the booking process itself was easy as well too. You just like
00:59go through, you enter your name, your license, pick the protection plan of insurance that you want,
01:04you get the maximum protection just to be a little bit like more secure. The only staff food for us
01:10was that as soon as we booked one pickup truck that we really wanted, the host messaged us and told us
01:15that he had actually planned a camping trip that weekend that he was going to use it for and he had
01:20just forgotten to take it off the site. This doesn't really have to do with Truro but part of using Truro is
01:25interacting with the host so that might be an issue you're running into. The host just really
01:30have to be on top of their game. So we went with a different car which ended up being great too but
01:34because of that I would rate the booking experience a 9 out of 10. I am going to check out the car which
01:39is in my driveway right now. The host of this car dropped it off last night for us. It was really
01:45seamless process. They just came in, handed us the keys and we were good to go. They dropped it off
01:50right at our place which was really nice. Definitely a perk as opposed to a car rental service where
01:54you have to go and pick it up. So here the car is. It's huge which I'm excited about since we're going
02:00on a camping trip and there's lots of space for all of our stuff. It's quite big. Now diving into the
02:09delivery and service of Truro. I thought this was really great actually because some cars, not all hosts
02:15offer this but some of them do offer delivery and pickup. It was very seamless to the host. We
02:21downloaded the app and we messaged via the app. They came by, dropped off the keys to us, showed us
02:25the car and it was all smooth from there and then same with the pickup. They just came and picked it up
02:30and it was really great. So I would rate that a 10 on 10 for sure. Last but not least, the car itself.
02:36We got a Jeep Wrangler which was really fun because normally we're driving around a kind of like beat up older
02:40Subaru. But really what you're looking for when you rent a car from any car service is that it's like
02:46clean and it's working correctly. Our Jeep Wrangler that we rented through Truro did both of those
02:51things so I was really happy in that way. But just like with Airbnb or anything with hosts involved,
02:57it depends on the host. So to help with this though you can look at the reviews. So Truro has a thing
03:02that it's called an all-star host so you can look for an all-star host to make sure you're going to get
03:07like the best chance of having a seamless interaction and really good car service as possible.
03:14Just like us because it was really fun to be able to do that. The car was awesome. It had like car
03:18play. It had lots of cool perks. Being able to take the roof off of the Jeep when we were going on a road
03:23trip through the mountains of BC was just really made for like a really good vibe. It was really cool
03:29and very fun. So I would definitely say that the car experience was a 10 out of 10 for us. So I rated Truro
03:35based on three criteria. The booking experience, the service itself, and the car. It only fell short
03:40when it came to the booking experience and that was because the car we originally wanted actually
03:44wasn't available that weekend and the host had forgotten to take it down from the site. Other
03:48than that though, I had a really great experience. I would definitely use it again. It made a lot of sense
03:52to me why something like Truro was invented even in the first place to have access to all these cars,
03:58not have to go through car rental services. So definitely recommend it. I would do it again for sure.
04:03Let me know what you guys think in the comments. Did you like Truro? Have you used it before?
04:08Do you have a good or a bad experience? Whatever it is. I'm Morgan Leet with Narcity.
