Synopsis : Le soir d'Halloween, à Los Angeles, un braquage tourne mal : une fusillade éclate, blessant Fitz, le partenaire de James Knight. Alors que celui-ci est évacué à l'hôpital, les malfaiteurs prennent la fuite à bord d'un avion, direction New York. L'agent Godwin Sango explique à Knight que différents casses du même genre ont eu lieu un peu partout dans le pays, avec à chaque fois un vol prêt à décoller pour faciliter la fuite des braqueurs. Pour venger son coéquipier, Knight est prêt à poursuivre son enquête hors de sa juridiction..
