11:45Music in the air, lights on every corner and revelers everywhere as party-goers gear up to welcome 2026 in true Goa style.
12:00The energy is electric, the countdown is on and Goa is ready for yet another unforgettable New Year night.
12:15Heading north to Manali, with fresh snowfall finally arriving, this Himachal hill town has turned into a winter wonderland.
12:26Tourists are pouring in to ring in the New Year amid snow, selfies and celebrations,
12:31even as jam-packed roads and long traffic snarls tell the story of just how popular Manali is this season.
12:37Manali has been one of the premier hill stations and the tourists are thronging this place in a big way.
12:46On Christmas also we saw a huge rush and now for New Year also the people have started to emerge in a big way.
12:53Moving east to another hill town which is Nehitar.
12:57The lake town is glowing with holiday cheer, mall road packed, boats lined up on Naini Lake and visitors soaking in the winter chill.
13:04Hotels are near full, cafes buzzing with conversations and families and youngsters making the most of the crisp mountain air as the year draws to a close.
13:16From scenic viewpoints to lively markets, Naini Tal is in full New Year celebration mode.
13:25Further north, Gulmarg is wrapped in white.
13:28Fresh snowfall has transformed the slopes into a magnet for tourists, with ski resorts and scenic spots drawing massive crowds.
13:37New Year celebrations are on and we are right now in the winter wonderland.
13:42Yes, Gulmarg which is glittering like an ornament.
13:46Sun has come out after fresh snowfall and no wonder there are tourists who have come from various parts of the country to celebrate New Year.
13:55The streets are bustling, excitement is high and Gulmarg is living up to its reputation as a winter favourite this new year.
14:04It's feeling like heaven.
14:06And in Rajasthan, the celebrations have a royal touch.
14:10Winter favourites Jaipur, Mount Abu and Jaisel Mayer are witnessing record tourist footfall.
14:16Jaipur's roads and markets are alive with visitors soaking in the history, colours and culture.
14:21In Jaisel Mayer, demand has surged so high that hotel prices have doubled and even tripled, with many tourists struggling to find a place to stay.

14:55I'm just trying to figure out who has the most beautiful frame to go across to them first.
14:59I think Ritesh Desai, hands down the winner there, with the beautiful coast of Goa behind him.
15:04Ritesh, what's the situation currently in Goa?

17:43And you can see thousands of tourists have basically come to Manali just to be, to have full fun over there and enjoy their holiday vacation.
17:53Although one thing which is disappointing them is that there is no snowfall as of now.
17:57In the upper regions, there is no fall.
17:59But here in Manali, there is no snowfall.
18:00But you can see, the party mode is on in Manali.
18:04And the people here are all ready to celebrate and basically celebrate and see the New Year.

19:16As of now, the hotel occupancy is 90%.
19:19So I think it's jam packed here around 5,000 people already on the Mall Road.
19:23And as we proceed towards the midnight, that's going to double up.

19:28And, you know, it's a good mention that you made also, Asim, of the sharp contrast from what happened months ago to now.
19:34That people have still come together in large numbers in Manali, which is good because, you know, tourism fuels the economy in these parts.
19:40I'll bring in on that note also, Meer Fareed, who's joining us live from Sridhargarh.
19:45Meer, this is a similar concern, you know, that had gripped Kashmir a few months ago after the Pelgam terror attack.
19:51That tourism had taken a hit.
19:53Has that changed in the run-up to, you know, New Year's Eve?
19:56Are hotels packed? Are we seeing a lot of tourists there?
19:59Well, Akshita, it's been literally a divine intervention because whatever people tried, the government, the stakeholders, nothing worked.
20:12FAM tours, they went to tour operators, tried to reinstall sense of confidence on security, on safety, but that did not work.
20:19And then comes snowfall on the 22nd, 23rd of December, and that's changed everything.
20:25In a matter of few days, places like Gulmar, which is considered to be the epicenter hub of winter tourism, are absolutely chock-a-block.
20:33There are tourists there.
20:35But yes, the celebrations are different because Kashmir, considering its traditional, its cultural ethos, its winter calm,
20:44it's more about soft things, like the soft lights behind me, its not about fireworks frenzy, its not about loud music systems,
20:53high-pitched Dolby sound music systems, its about calm, its about peacefully celebrating or ringing in the new year.
21:00Now, that's something that Kashmir has always done, though, being a tourist spot, they do provide facilities for the tourists,
21:07but it's mostly about soft music systems, it's mostly about a bonfire outside, but again, the temperature is like minus 5, 6, 7 in Gulburg,
21:18so obviously, parting out is also that way difficult.
21:21My kind of new year, to be honest, means that you're seeing a calm, quiet new year.
21:26To me, that's the ideal new year, really.
21:28But let me bring in Samad Srivastava, who's joining us live from Ayodhya, from Ram Nagri.
21:34Ram Ram Samarth, what's happening there? I understand there's been such massive crowds that the authorities have said,
21:39don't come before 2nd January.
21:45Well, exactly, Akshita, Ram Ram from Ayodhya, and I must tell you that it was a double bonanza for those who came here.
21:52Number one, obviously, it was the conclusion of the year, they wanted to celebrate it with the blessings of Lord Shri Ram at the Ram Temple.
21:58Number two, it was the second anniversary of Pran Pratishtha, that means the consecration ceremony that happened in 2024.
22:06It was the same date, by the time of Hindu calendar, that Pran Pratishtha happened in the presence of Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi.
22:15So, Ayodhya celebrating two moments at a time, one, the conclusion of 2025.
22:21Number two, that's the Dvadashi, that's the 2nd anniversary of the Pran Pratishtha.
22:26Though, public, not much on the roads as of now, you will see the visuals here.
22:30From the Ram Temple, you see people coming here, ladies, jains, even elderly coming in numbers.
22:37But the number is not that much as you were seeing in the afternoon or in the morning.
22:42This is the entry point of Ram Jan Bhumimi, Ram Mandir.
22:45And the visuals out here clearly are scintillating at the time when the sun sets.
22:51Ayodhya, Ram Mandir brims in light.
22:54Tomorrow morning, huge trash are expected where you are, Samad.
