00:00In Honduras, the National Electoral Council member Marlon Ochoa reported irregularities in the counting of votes that put the will of the people expressed at the ballot box at Bresk.
00:10The official explained that of the 430 records that must be reviewed and counted at the municipal level, the National Party won in 183, while the Liberty and Refoundation Party won in 241.
00:26In this regard, he pointed out that the National Electoral Councilors, Ana Paula Hall and Cosette López Osorio, were altering public documents to prioritize the counting of election votes in the district of Tegucigalpa that favored the National Party.
00:42He also denounced that the officials were counting the election votes at their convenience and not in correlative order.
00:49Ochoa also requested an extension of the deadline for the declaration of the 2025 general elections at the levels of deputies and municipal corporations because the volume of pending vote counting prevents the issuance of definitive results with certainty and transparency.
01:07If today, as was done in the presidential election, the intention is once again to make a declaration without processing all of the pending records and without resolving all of the appeals and challenges.
01:26As we have always done, we will file a new complaint with the public prosecutor's office so that it immediately proceeds to file criminal charges against those who seek to observe the will of the people.
01:48Likewise, Marlon Ochoa asserted that the female councillors feel protected by the cloak of impunity provided by foreign interference.
02:01I believe that the councillors feel protected by the cloak of impunity of foreign interference, and that interference doesn't care about bombing children in Palestine.
02:14Look, here I have a bracelet in solidarity with the Palestinian people.
02:25Or stealing an oil tanker, let alone caring about stealing maralties and council seats.
02:31It has absolutely no shame in doing so.
02:34What's more, here it has put in and removed precedents at its whim.
02:45So these councillors feel protected by that cloak of impunity that foreign interference provides them with.
02:51And that is why they could dare to make a declaration stealing the will of the people.
02:55And that shows once again our character as a colony.
02:58And I believe that after this process, more and more Hondurans are realizing that in this country, their will has been hijacked to replace it with foreign interests.
03:14And that in order for us to become a free, sovereign and independent country, we must begin by asserting the sovereignty of the people.
03:21The people are the owners of the country, aren't they?
03:28On Monday, in Honduras, Luis Redondo, President of Parliament, described the performance of the electoral body as a disaster and a national disgrace,
03:37and requested a rigorous investigation from the public ministry.
03:40From this state authority, I strongly call on the public prosecutor's office to act in accordance with the law on the basis of the complaints
03:55that have already been filed in this electoral process,
03:58in which there are several irregularities, therefore,
04:05the declaration of illegality without complying with the electoral procedure denying the special count,
04:16without any justification, without reviewing each and every one of the vote receiving votes are requested by two political parties,
04:29both the Liberal Party and the Liberal Party.
04:32Therefore, leaving all citizens who went to vote, and those who participated as candidates,
04:37and in a state of defenselessness, violating the sovereign will expressed at the ballot box.
04:42And the President of the Parliament also reminds us that one of the powers of Parliament is to take control of the electoral process
04:55if the body designated for that purpose does not fully assume the task.
05:01If the declaration that is made, or the elect declaration, does not comply with the requirements of the law,
05:12and there is a desire to impose it here, through media pressure,
05:16or the support of criminal groups that were part of the electoral process,
05:32and an illegal declaration is to be imposed.
05:34The Constitution of the Republic establishes, in Article 205, that the National Congress has the following powers.
05:49No. 7. To count the votes and declare the election of the President,
05:54designate to the Presidency, debities to the National Congress and the Central America Parliament,
06:00when the National Electoral Council has not done so.
