00:00Well it's shaping up to be a scorcher here in South Australia. Where I am in Adelaide we've just hit 32.5 degrees and we're expected to hit a top of 38. Parts of regional SA are expected to hit 41 degrees including Port Augusta and Naracourt and up north in Unadada they'll hit a top of 42 degrees.
00:21Now every district in the state have been issued with at least a high fire danger rating but the Eastern Air Peninsula and Mount Lofty Ranges have been issued with extreme fire danger ratings and total fire bans are in place there.
00:36The SA Country Fire Service says multiple factors are contributing to an elevated risk for bushfires today. Take a listen.
00:42This combination of dry conditions, hot to very hot temperatures and strong winds, we have everything that is needed for fire to spread rapidly across the landscape.
00:54Brett Lachlan from the SA CFS there. Our Premier has also warned the public to be wary of these risky conditions saying complacency is the enemy on hot days like today.
01:05Now we do have some good news. There is relief on the way according to the Weather Bureau. A cool change is expected and will hit just a top of 26 degrees here in Adelaide tomorrow.
