00:14co-related activities. This decision comes one day after the escape attempt of one of
00:18those implicated in the plot led by former President Diego Bolsonaro.
00:22The United Nations Security Council called a meeting for next Monday, December 29,
00:30following Israel's recognition of Somaliland's self-proclaimed as an independent state.

00:44a peaceful solution to the conflict urging Kiev to resolve differences through dialogue.
00:48Hello, welcome from the South. I'm Luis Alberto Matos from Dele Soh Studios in Jafana, Cuba.
00:57We begin with the news.
00:59Outreach in Panama for demolition of Puente de las Américas Monument donated by the Chinese
01:18community to commemorate the 150th anniversary of the arrival of the first group of Chinese migrants.
01:23The actions were directed by the mayor's office of Arraihan. According to the administration,
01:28the structure was in poor condition and presented risks that put it in structural danger. For
01:32its part, the Chinese embassy said the monument's condition was adequate and, therefore, urged
01:38the authorities to investigate the demolition. The key to this action lies in the prior criticism
01:42from U.S. political figures such as Pete Hexeth and Marco Rubio, who visited Panama earlier
01:48this year and expressed their discontent with the project. This external suggestion appears
01:53to have been the catalyst for the municipality of Arraihan to proceed with the demolition plan.
01:58In Brazil, the Supreme Court ordered this out at the house arrest of ten other people for
02:10code-related activities. This decision comes one day after the escape attempt of one of those
02:14implicated in the plot led by former President Jair Bolsonaro. The Federal Police carried out
02:19a measure determined by Justice Alexandre de Moraes to prevent new escape attempts. The measure was
02:25carried out against ten defendants whose sentences are still subject to appeal. Those implicated had
02:30been previously granted temporary freedom while awaiting resolution of their cases and had only
02:35been required to comply with certain precautionary measures ordered by the Supreme Court such as wearing
02:40an electronic ankle bracelet. They will now have to remain confined to their residence and continue
02:45to use the tracking device.
02:53Also in Brazil, an ultralight plane pulling an advertising banner crashed into the sea of Copacabana
02:59beach in Rio de Janeiro on Saturday afternoon, killing the pilot. Officials said the pilot's body was sent
03:04to a medical examiner's office for identification. Fire Department rescue teams work at the site with the
03:10help of jet skis, inflatable boats, divers and aerial support. Sonar equipment was also used to help
03:16locate possible additional victims and wreckage. Authorities released security camera footage showing
03:21the plane diving nose first into the sea near the beach around 12.30 pm local time.
03:26Brazilian Air Force announced that it has opened an investigation to the cause of the crash.
03:30The education and agricultural unions in Argentina condemned the 2026 budget which was approved last
03:43Thursday after nine hours of debate with 46 in favor, 25 against and one abstention. Despite some members
03:49of congress expressing resistance, they gave the green light to what is now yet another tool for Javier
03:55Millet's government. Since the president introduced it in September, there have been complaints that
04:01it will lead to further cuts in social benefits and provide more advantages to the wealthy. Following
04:07its approval, university and scientific technological unions claim that article 30 eliminates funding
04:12minimums for education, science and technology, thereby endangering the country's academic year,
04:18research and productive development.
04:20And on Saturday, the Chilean police reported the arrest of a woman operating a clandestine laboratory
04:30to manufacture cocaine-based paste in her home in the city of Angol. The defendant had two residences,
04:37one to store illegal substances and weapons and the other to prepare drugs. During the race,
04:42authorities seized 7,000 doses of cocaine, valued at approximately $40,000 on the black market. They also seized
04:49trash cans in which the defendant mixed these ingredients to bulk up the drugs. The robbery
05:02investigation brigade of Angol, a city in the south of the country, carried out the operation.
05:12And Venezuela's executive vice president, José Rodríguez, affirms that food self-sufficiency is the
05:17country's best defense against pressure from the United States. Venezuela's executive vice president,
05:22José Rodríguez, stated that the country has responded to the siege and threats from the United States
05:26government with an unprecedented deployment of domestic food production and distribution.
05:32During a tour of the El Valle Parish in Caracas, Rodríguez highlighted the progress of the communal
05:37model as a pillar of sovereign defense. The vice president reported that in the last weeks of 2025,
05:42158,000 tons of food were distributed throughout the national territory through the Love and Food
05:48Prosperity Plan.

10:08provinces. The State Meteorological Agency issued a threat alert for several areas of Malaga confirming

13:18and weapons to increase tensions with Moscow. He also recalled that Europe is trying to grant

13:32And this Saturday, Russian President Biden urged Ukraine to end the armed conflict through dialogue
13:42by warning that Russia will achieve its objective by military means if Ukraine refuses a peaceful solution.
13:51Today, judging by the reports, seeing the situation in the front line, our interests in the withdrawal of
13:58the Ukrainian military formations from the territories they occupy has been reduced to practically zero for
14:05completely different reasons. And if the authorities in Kiev do not wish to resolve the issue peacefully,
14:13we will resolve all the problems before us through the special military operation by force of arms.
14:22Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney announced that his country will provide an additional
14:262.5 billion dollars to Ukraine to strengthen its economy. During a joint press conference with

16:34around 200,000 prefabricated housing units to meet the urgent humanitarian needs of displaced families.
16:40Current weather events have flooded and destroyed thousands of tents across Gaza,
16:44worsening the humanitarian emergency. Although it is added that Palestinians are living in fragile
16:48tents that offer minimal protection against rain and freezing temperatures. Fractually destroyed homes
16:53have also collapsed, posing a direct threat to residents' lives. The operations room called on the United
16:59Nations and international organizations to pressure Israel to allow the immediate entry of prefabricated
17:04housing units and shelter supplies to alleviate the suffering of displaced persons.

17:36media outlet Al-Mayadeen, who remains missing after police officers separated him from his family
17:41at the Queen Aliyah International Airport in Jordan. Likewise, he pointed out, the lack of official
17:47information about the reasons for his arrest, his whereabouts and his health status increases concern
17:52and requires immediate answers and his unconditional release. We therefore join the voices around the
17:58world in solidarity with the family of Mohamed Faraj, his colleagues, and the entire journalistic
18:03community which faces the uncertainty of not knowing where he is. We call on the competent authorities to
18:08respond urgently and release this man whose crime is to shine a spotlight on the crimes of imperialism,

18:18that cannot wait.

20:02group since last year, following the fall of Bashar al-Assad's government. Hours later, the extremist
20:07group Saraya and Sa'al al-Sunnah claimed responsibility for the attack in a statement released Friday. Hezbollah denounced the
