00:29over that very verdict that has been unfolding over the days.
00:33As chorus grows for justice for the unnaw rape victim,
00:36it's the Supreme Court which has agreed to hear on December 29th, that is Monday, tomorrow,
00:41the CBI's plea challenging Delhi High Court's order, granting relief to rapist Kuldeep Singar.
00:46The Supreme Court will be hearing the central agency's plea in which it called
00:49the Delhi High Court's order contrary to law and perverse
00:52and opposed the finding that the former BJP MLA was not a public servant at the time of the offence.
00:58The CBI said that the High Court erred in law by failing to adopt a purposive interpretation of the POCSO Act
01:03which aims to punish the exploitation and sexual abuse of children
01:08by public servants or individuals wielding political or social authority.
01:13Earlier, the survivor, along with her family and activists, held a protest at Delhi's Jantar Mantar
01:16against a suspension of former BJP MLA Kuldeep Singh Sengar's life sentence by the Delhi High Court in the case.
01:23Speaking to India today, the survivor in fact said that Sengar is a rapist and not a leader.
01:27She also said that if the CBI had approached the Supreme Court earlier, her life would have been better.

01:36Ma'am, what are your main demands why you have gathered here?
01:40Various women organizations, women activists have gathered here in solidarity with the victim
01:47and with the hope that tomorrow Honorable Supreme Court will do justice.
01:53We have also seen that after Kuldeep Singh Sengar was granted bail,
01:56now the CBI has knocked the doors of the Supreme Court.
