00:00One of the most talked about Islamic preachers in Nigeria who have had photographs with people suspected to be terrorists,

00:07terrorizing villages and communities in the northern part of Nigeria when he visited the suspected terrorists in their camps inside forests on the ground of having peace talk with the armed groups.

00:18Sheikh Ahmed Abu Bakr Mahmoud Goumi has described as a terrorist act the United States, U.S. military action ordered by President Donald Trump that attacked and killed yet to be ascertained total numbers of ISIS-affiliated Lakaroa terrorists in Sokoto State on Christmas Day.

00:36This, the Islamic cleric called on the people in the villages affected by the U.S. missile strikes on Thursday night to post on social media platforms evidences of damages caused by the U.S. military action.

00:50According to Goumi, it is in line with the teachers of Islam for terrorists to be killed, but, the killing must be done by people with the clean and holy hands,

00:59and, not by another terrorist whose hands are stained with the blood of hundreds of thousands of innocent children, women, and men just recently,

01:08stressing that, the U.S. involvement in the fight against terrorism in Nigeria will make the country becomes an enemy of its neighbors,

01:16a theater of war, because the involvement will attract the real anti-U.S. forces into the West Africa country,

01:23and in a manner that looked like mockery, Sheikh Goumi said,

01:27dropping a few bombs here and there cannot tackle the menace of terror.

01:30They need serious military on the ground, which, if we are serious, we have enough men to do that.

01:37In contrary to Goumi's assertions, the Nigeria government, through the office of the Minister of Foreign Affairs,

01:43Yusuf Tugger said it was President Bola Ahmed Tanubu on Thursday that gave the U.S. the approval to carry out the strikes against the terrorists.

01:52But the government's statement apparently did not go down well with Omiyele Saware,

01:57a human rights activist and the founder of Sahara Reporters News Media,

02:02who insisted that, it is evident that the strikes were carried out without the genuine authority

02:07or informed consent of the weaklings masquerading as government under Asawar Jubola Ahmed Tanubu,

02:13and in a swift reaction to Omiyele Saware,

02:16one of the recently nominated and confirmed ambassador-designate,

02:20Reno Omakri said,

02:22I am afraid I will have to disagree with Mr. Omiyele Saware,

02:26and others like him,

02:27who are misinforming the Nigerian public that the recent actions against terrorists are proof that Nigeria lacks sovereignty,

02:34such views are indicative of a lack of awareness of international relations,

02:38it is also wrong for Mr. Saware to call our government and military weak.

02:42Sheikh Ahmed Abu Bakr Mahmood Gumi in a statement titled,

02:47The Symbolism of the U.S. Strike.

02:49He shared on his verified Facebook account when he reshared the news link of a post published by CNN on Friday,

02:56said,

02:57Annihilating terrorists is an Islamic obligation.

03:05Should I live till they appear,

03:07I would kill them as the killing of the nation of,

03:09Ad.

03:12This said,

03:13It should only be carried out by clean,

03:15holy hands,

03:16not by another terrorist whose hands are stained with the blood of hundreds of thousands of innocent children,

03:23and men just recently.

03:25This is the mistake Nigeria has made.

03:28Terrorists don't fight terrorists in China.

03:30While many Nigerians were asleep after the 2025 Christmas celebration,

03:35the United States,

03:36U.S. warship moved close and took position in the territorial Africa waters,

03:41then launched missiles at the dead of the night on Thursday into areas predominantly dominated by the Lakorawa terrorists in the Nigeria northwestern state of Sokoto,

03:51with President Donald Trump saying many of the terrorists were killed,

03:55but,

03:56the Islamic state of Iraq and Syria,

03:58ISIS in the West Africa province is yet to issue a statement over the airstrikes on the Lakorawa camps in Sokoto,

04:05the armed group that is affiliated with the Islamic state Sahil province operating in Mali,

04:11Nijay,

04:11and the Nigeria Kebi in Sokoto states whose activities are mostly observed in five local government areas of Tangasa,

04:19Gudu,

04:20Alela,

04:21Binji,

04:22and Salame in Sokoto state.

04:24This,

04:25some residents at Jabo village in the Tambul local government area of Sokoto state posted videos online to indicate that some components used in making the missiles fell on a farmland in the Jabo village.

04:37The videos showed a lot of the villages,

04:40mostly younger ones holding phones with touch light on,

04:43recording the scene of the burning parts of one of the missiles in the farmland,

04:48while some took a closer camera angle shot of some of the components that have manufacturing inscriptions dates and brand labels.

04:55The U.S.-Africa command in a statement a few hours ago,

05:00said,

05:00at the direction of the President of the United States and the Secretary of War,

05:05and in coordination with Nigerian authorities,

05:08U.S.-Africa command conducted strikes against ISIS terrorists in Nigeria on December 25, 2025,

05:15in Sokoto state.

05:17President Donald Trump while announcing the military action through his Truth social media platform on Thursday night,

05:24said,

05:25Tonight,

05:26at my direction as commander-in-chief,

05:28the United States launched a powerful and deadly strike against ISIS terrorist scum in northwest Nigeria,

05:35who have been targeting and viciously killing, primarily, innocent Christians,

05:40at levels not seen for many years,

05:42and even centuries.

05:44I have previously warned these terrorists that if they did not stop the slaughtering of Christians,

05:49there would be hell to pay,

05:51and tonight,

05:52there was.

05:52The Department of War executed numerous perfect strikes,

05:57as only the United States is capable of doing.

06:00Under my leadership,

06:01our country will not allow radical Islamic terrorism to prosper.

07:49on Tuesday night took to his social media pages

07:52and presented an apparent questionable court document,

07:55probably with malicious intent to manipulate

07:58and mislead unsuspecting members of the public

08:00in order to malign the character of Harrison Guamnashu,

08:03this,

08:04in the court document presented by Varidakman,

08:07the alleged charge serial numbers

08:09were covered with a colored ink.

08:11No date of court sitting was written on the court document,

08:14the document indicated that the alleged three count charges

08:17were drafted and signed on the 18th of December 2025,

08:21a day before Harrison Guamnashu was asked to go home

08:24from the police custody on December 19th, 2025

08:28while awaiting the advice of the Department of Public Prosecutor,

08:33DPP on the matter,

08:34and the apparent fraudulent court document

08:36did not show the officer or the person responsible

08:39for the court count charges,

08:41and Varidakman apparently in a manipulative manner

08:44did not show the full signature

08:46and any name of the officer

08:47who authored the alleged court charges.

08:50Varidakman claimed in the video

08:52that the prosecutor wanted Harrison Guamnashu jailed

08:55for six months

08:56but the judge he identified

08:57as Justice Etinoza Adekombi

09:00allegedly on her personal consideration,

09:02because of the Christmas and New Year season

09:04and public intervention

09:05decided to grant Harrison Guamnashu bail.

09:09Harrison Guamnashu says

09:10he was never arrested by the police

09:12or charged to court

09:13as speculated in the public spaces

09:15over the 5.4 million nairas

09:18he allegedly removed

09:19out of the 20 million nairas ransom

09:21he was given to hand over to kidnappers

09:23and as well apparently used the money

09:25as a bait to stage sting operation

09:27for the release and rescue

09:29of the husband and wife

09:30simply identified as Mr. and Mrs. Ibrahim

09:33kidnapped in Avili community

09:34in the Etsuko West local government area

09:37of Edo State

09:38which generated public reactions

09:40after the kidnappers set free the wife

09:43and kept the husband in captivity

09:45on the ground that the money given to them

09:47was not complete

09:47and some persons who have access

09:50to the apparent sensitive security information

09:52went public to create an impression

09:54as if Harrison Guamnashu stole part of the ransom money

09:58even when Harrison Guamnashu explained to them

10:01that it is part of his operational procedures

10:03to remove some cash from the ransom money

10:06his explanation apparently went on deaf ears

10:09and people who may be best described as mischief makers

10:12took advantage of the issue

10:14to call Harrison Guamnashu names

10:16and reopen his alleged past deeds

10:18in a prejudiced manner

10:19to cast aspersions on him

10:21even when they knew

10:22that Harrison Guamnashu

10:23has a long history

10:25with video evidences

10:26of assisting security operatives

10:28to rescue kidnapped victims

10:30forces who are on level

10:31bringing youth to news

10:33in a more digital way

10:35of being engaged to parents

10:37and the ones that do not

10:40need to be engaged

10:41in a temporary situation
