00:00Alright, let's talk about the Phoenix Suns injury report heading into their Saturday
00:05game against the New Orleans Pelicans.
00:07The big question mark is center Mark Williams, he's listed as questionable for Saturday
00:11due to knee management.
00:13Now here's why that's interesting.
00:14If he plays, this will be his first time playing in both games of a back-to-back since Phoenix
00:20traded for him on draft night.
00:21This season, the only four games he's missed have all been on the second night of a back-to-back,
00:26a factor in his potential availability.
00:29Both Friday and Saturday's games are in New Orleans, so there's no travel involved.
00:34Since moving into the starting lineup, Williams has been crucial.
00:37He's started 23 games, averaging 13.6 points, 8.1 rebounds, 1.3 assists, 1.4 steals, and one
00:47block in just 24.7 minutes per start.
00:50In Friday's win, he put up 24 points and 13 rebounds in 27 minutes.
00:55That's his highest point total as a starter with the Suns, and his most rebounds since
01:00November 28th.
01:02And look at the team's record with him.
01:04They are 15.8 when he starts, compared to 1.2 when he came off the bench, and 1.3 when
01:10he doesn't play at all.
01:11He's not the only one though.
01:13Ryan Dunn is also questionable with knee soreness.
01:15After putting up 9 points and 8 rebounds in 21 minutes on Friday, Grayson Allen remains
01:20out for his fifth straight game, with his own knee management.
01:24A couple other quick notes for Phoenix.
01:25Jordan Goodwin is available, but will keep wearing his mask for a jaw sprain.
01:31Jalen Green remains out with a hamstring.
01:33For the Pelicans, they'll be without Herbert Jones, who's been out since December 22nd with
01:37an ankle sprain.
01:39And DeJount Murray, who's out with an Achilles injury but is expected to return as early as
01:44January, so the main storyline is clearly Mark Williams' status.
01:49Given the no-travel situation and how vital he's been, do you think the Suns pushed to
01:53have him on the court Saturday?
01:54Or do they play it safe with his knee?
