00:00It's Penn State and it's Clemson, and also a team from the south in Clemson coming north in frigid temperatures to take on Penn State.
00:07A two-and-a-half point favorite for Clemson and a total of 47-and-a-half.
00:10A lot of moving parts in these two franchises as well, Coach.
00:14You know, I've gone with Clemson because their quarterback is going to be back.
00:17Clubnick's going to play.
00:19His running back is two wide receivers, and I've been leaning Clemson all the way.
00:23Then I saw pictures of them out there in the cold and the snow and the weather, and that's typical Penn State weather.
00:30And that makes me think, gosh, I've got to reconsider who I'm going to pick.
00:34But I'm going to stay with Clemson.
00:35I just think Clemson has a lot more to play for.
00:38The head coaching, I promise you, Davos Sweeney, he wants this game.
00:42It's important to his legacy.
00:44I think you've got a change of coaches at Penn State.
00:47You've got a new quarterback who has played a couple of games, but he's not a lure.
00:51And so I just like Clemson.
00:53I worry about the weather.
00:54I think that's plenty of valid reasons for somebody to go the other direction.
00:57But I think Clubnick will go out there with his running back, his wide receivers.
01:01They had enough depth to replace the fact that seven offensive and seven defensive players opted out of this football game.
01:09Coach, I do want to bring up just an offensive game plan potentially for Clubnick.
01:14We haven't seen him perform up to expectations this year, and it's a cold-weather environment.
01:20Do you think that Dabo takes a more conservative approach to just try and win the game?
01:26Or do you think he relies on Clubnick and his passing attack to potentially challenge a defense that could be suspect in this matchup?
01:35Joe, I think Clubnick, the fact that he remained and chose to play to enhance his NFL, I do think you've got to let him play.
01:43You've got to let him do what he does best.
01:45And when he's got those receivers and he's throwing, so I don't think they'll throw too much.
01:49And I've coached in cold weather and hot weather.
01:52If the wind's not blowing too bad and it's not sub-zero, cold weather doesn't necessarily hurt your passing.
01:59If those guys have warm gloves, the balls, it's not nearly as bad as wet or windy weather.
02:05And the windy snow weather is very bad.
02:07So if it's not too windy and cold out there, I think you can still throw the ball effectively.
02:11I know I've had to do it a lot.
02:14And so I still think they're going to have to throw the ball.
02:16I think Dabo owes it to Clubnick.
02:18He came back to play.
02:19Let him throw the football.
02:21But don't go crazy.
02:22If you can run the ball, that's going to make a lot of difference and mix it together.
