00:06methamphetamine syndicate has been extended by seven days until January 3, following their
00:12arrest in Penang. State Police Chief Datuk Azizi Ismail said the suspects, aged 32 to 38,
00:19were initially remanded for seven days, which ended on Saturday. No new arrests have been made,
00:24but investigations into the syndicate's network continue under Section 39B of the Dangerous Drugs
00:31Act 1952. Police uncovered an illegal meth lab at a durian orchard in Jalan Telukbahang, Balikpulau,
00:39after raids on December 20 and 21, seizing a total of 1.2 tons of drugs worth 38 million ringgit.
00:47Bukit Aman NCID Director Datuk Hussain Omar Khan said the first raid targeted a condominium along
00:54Jalan Gurdwara, Georgetown, where the suspects were processing methamphetamine. A 27-year-old local
01:01man died after falling from the fifth floor while attempting to flee. Police seized 26 kilograms of
01:07meth and packaging equipment. Subsequent raids at a business premises in Taman Windmill yielded 474
01:15kilograms of meth, believed to be stored and packaged for distribution. Police later raided a
01:21durian orchard about one kilometer from the main road, uncovering a large-scale meth lab with 60
01:27kilograms of meth powder, 54 kilograms of suspected crystal blocks, 574 kilograms of liquid meth and drug
01:34processing equipment seized.
