00:00The Department of Tourism is expecting more Chinese tourists to visit the country following the return of e-visa system.
00:08Based on data from the department, nearly 2 million Chinese tourists in the country were recorded in 2019.
00:15As of December 20th, the country's international visitor arrivals have reached 5.6 million and more than 260,000 of which are Chinese.
00:25This places sixth in ranking where it follows South Korea, United States, Japan, Australia and Canada.
00:33Tourism attaché to China, Ireneo Reyes, first said that the return of the e-visa which began this November is an important part of the country being ready for Chinese tourists.
