00:00Rice Processing Systems of the Department of Agriculture is a big help to farmers

00:05so that the supply of rice in Ilocos Norte will be sufficient.

00:08This is the detail of Jude Pipitan of Radyo Pilipinas Lawang.

00:15The provincial government of Ilocos Norte believes that the rice supply is sufficient

00:19and that it is not necessary to import rice from other places.

00:23The sufficiency level of the product here has reached 189%.

00:29It is a big help for them to have three large rice processing systems

00:33in the province of the Department of Agriculture,

00:35the Philippine Center for Post-Harvest Development and Mechanization or DAPHILMEC

00:40for the preservation of rice.

00:43We have a lot of rice processing systems here in Ilocos Norte.

00:54Because of the RPS, farmers are now choosing to sell to the Farmers Cooperative

01:00instead of travelers.

01:01RPS can be found in the towns of Bacara, Pidig, and Vintar.

01:06The National Food Authority or NFA also has its own facility

01:10that can be found in the town of Dingras.

01:12Aside from that, the distribution of farm input and machineries to farmers

01:17to help their livelihoods will continue.

01:20This is in accordance with President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr.'s order

01:23to help farmers.

01:25In a visit of the Radyo Pilipinas News Team in Pamilihang Bayan in Lawag City,

01:30the price of rice ranges from Php 46 to Php 55 per kilo.

01:34The Provincial Government found that the cheap rice that can be bought here

01:38is of high quality due to the product and process inside Ilocos Norte.
