00:01You just need your last toggle.
00:03Um...
00:07You can go. I'm sorry.
00:08You can go.
00:11Have you told Colin?
00:12No.
00:14Are you kidding me?
00:16You told me what?
00:17The last time I saw my dad,
00:19he pitched the backyard as a wedding venue.
00:23I really don't have words.
00:25I'm really just trying to wrap my head around it all.
00:28Hey, Mom.
00:29Bechner would like to have, like, a sleepover,
00:32like a hangout with you.
00:33I'm surprised that Bechner requested
00:35to have a sleepover with me,
00:37because, like me, he suffers from anxiety.
00:40Hola, como estas? Muy bien, YouTube?
00:43Muy bien.
00:44How you doing, man?
00:45Good. You guys ready for a stay of sleepover?
00:49You excited where you're having your wedding at?
00:51We got no idea.
00:53Well, there's always an open option.
00:56The backyard.
00:59I know exactly who put Bechner up to this.
01:01Thank you, Alan.
01:04I don't really know how to say it,
01:06but I do have anxiety.
01:08Yeah.
01:09What are you anxious about?
01:10Like...
01:11Everything?
01:12Yeah.
01:13Do you care if I talk to you for a second?
01:14Yeah, no, that's fine.
01:17Bechner expressed to me his anxiety.
01:19Yeah.
01:20It's a really big issue.
01:21It's a really big issue.
01:22I was talking to Bechner last night, and he opened up to me about his anxieties and some of the OCD traits that I see.
01:37Yeah.
01:38It's a really big issue.
01:40Yeah.
01:41It's a really big issue.
01:42I see a lot of myself in Bechner, and from my own journey and from my own standpoint, I do worry a little bit that Bechner could develop OCD. And without help, you're just swimming in your own thoughts all day.
01:55I mean, I think he's definitely aware of it. Yeah, and I'm aware of it. We're aware of it, too. Okay.
02:14Balen approaching me about Bechner kind of implies, at first, like maybe I didn't know what was going on with him. But this is not the first conversation that we've ever had where she has concern about a sibling. This is just who Balen is. Like, she has such a level of deep love for her siblings, not just Bechner.
02:39He does a really good job of hiding it and putting on his big, tough Bechner act. Bechner doesn't hold back much with being open about his thoughts and his feelings. We just take it day by day.
02:52If we found out that Tourette's was already in the family and OCD already ran in the family, then we would be able to, like, as parents, have that, like, awareness before, like, the kid. Does that make any type of sense?
03:04Totally makes sense.
03:05That's why generational diagnoses mean so much. But Bechner doesn't have a diagnosis, so that means he can't get treatment for it.
03:14We have been tackling these family generational disorders for years that have genetic components to them. You know, the tics and the Tourette and the OCD. But these are abstract conditions. This isn't you go in for an MRI, they tell you what's wrong, and they come up with a fix.
03:33There is not a recipe of knowing when you need medical help.
03:38Could he get to the point where maybe he needs some sort of interventional therapy?
03:42No, but it's about the diagnosis. Because if Bechner found out all of these things now, and he was able to treat them now instead of at 15 years old...
03:52I'm not medicating an 11-year-old. I'm not.
03:55It's not about medication, but for him to get treated for it, he needs the diagnosis.
04:02I mean, obviously, my eyes are open to it. Right? You know what I mean?
04:07I don't know. Bechner's such a good kid.
04:12With my own medical journey and the pain and the hurt that I went through, I turned it into passion.
04:22And it's helped me be 100% more aware of other people and their emotions.
04:34I think that she's taken those pieces of struggle and transformed them into power.
04:41And her ability to see the lost, broken, hurt parts of other people, because that's who she was.
04:48I'm really glad that you brought that up. I think it's just important to keep the conversation alive.
04:56You're always trying to stay ahead of the game.
04:58Because when you let things go, like I feel like we let things go a little bit with Balen, then you're backpedaling and it's not fair to them.
05:05But with that being said, I feel like we've gotten a little bit better at it.
05:09So my gut tells me that I will know when it's time to seek more help for Bechner if needed.
05:17Why are you stacking them?
05:29I'm going to start out here with one board and screw it down.
05:31Oh, hey, dude. What's up?
05:32What's up?
05:33Doctor, do you want to help me?
05:34What is this?
05:35Why is one higher than the other?
05:37This is a registration location for Balen's wedding.
05:41Al's always ahead of himself on projects.
05:44I have plans.
05:45Are you channeling the field of dreams?
05:46Oh, my gosh.
05:47I am building the field of dreams.
05:49If I do build it, maybe they will show up.
05:51Maybe it will happen.
05:53I'm lost.
05:54Yeah, we're all lost.
05:55Bechner, did you talk to Balen for me?
05:57Yeah.
05:58I feel like I did a pretty good job.
06:00Of convincing her?
06:01Yeah.
06:02What?
06:03Yeah.
06:04I almost feel like it's kind of low of Al to use Bechner as like this vessel to creep in and like push forward with the backyard venue.
06:15I'm not working.
06:16That's a brilliant idea.
06:18And if anybody Bechner knows what's going on, he's smarter than the majority of us.
06:23I'm still waiting on my payment.
06:25You're good.
06:26You're good.
06:27It's in the mail.
06:29Done.
06:30Look at that.
06:31You want me to take it from here?
06:33Yeah.
06:34I'm going to go play games.
06:35Wow.
06:36Thanks for the help, buddy.
06:38Good luck.
06:39I don't even know what that is.
06:42It's here.
06:43Did you really tell him to put in a good stinking word about the backyard?
06:48Yeah, I did.
06:50I wanted Bechner to kind of give me an idea.
06:52Have they found a place?
06:53Have they not?
06:54No, I'm just in the dark.
06:56We have no idea how many people.
06:59We have no idea about time frame, like what month to be picked a day.
07:05I mean, I know it's their thing, but hopefully she incorporates Sammy and me.
07:12Since Balaam got engaged nine months ago, I'm aware of almost no plans.
07:17The doors have not been opened for me yet.
07:20I'd love even like some pictures when they're like checking out these places like,
07:24Hey mom, this is where we're at.
07:26Oh, I don't know.
07:28I'll ask her eventually.
07:29I just, I'm just trying not to be so intrusive.
07:32That said, something else that came up at the sleepover is her concern about Bech's
07:39obsessions and compulsions.
07:41And the idea of like a formal diagnosis, like...
07:45For what?
07:46OCD, anxiety stuff.
07:49My immediate thought honestly is that he's being a boy, he's being rambunctious.
07:56I'm not too concerned about it.
07:59But having Balaam look after him is priceless to me.
08:02I think that her concern is coming from a good place because her OCD rules her life.
08:09But Bechner's so high functioning.
08:11He just let him be a boy for a while.
08:14I feel like he, I look at him as more gifted at this point.
08:17Yeah.
08:18Having multiple children with OCD, it's like anything else in life.
08:22It comes and goes.
08:23It falls under that like general anxiety where if it becomes every single day, it's starting
08:28to build up.
08:29Then it's like, whoa, hang on a second.
08:30What's going on?
08:31Then it's a different conversation.
08:33We listen, we know when to act, but it's never ignored.
08:36No.
08:37Bechner's doesn't warrant attention.
08:40But Al, she's so preoccupied that these things run in families and that is smart to know.
08:45It's super important.
08:46Yeah.
08:47And if she and Colin have kids, there's a good chance they're going to need some kind
08:51of medical intervention and good health insurance.
08:53That's why it's important that that's your number one priority when it comes to searching
08:56for jobs.
08:57The importance of medical insurance, especially when you're younger, is so imperative that
09:06without it, it almost guarantees you a path to poverty.
09:12One car accident, one mishap, one medical condition, and you will now be poor.
09:21It doesn't hurt to have a conversation and throw health insurance back in there.
09:27You are going to have a wife with Tourette syndrome, and we don't know if it's ever going
09:31to get better.
09:32They might think that we're nagging, but I think it's just a poke, like just remember
09:37this is worrying us.
09:39We don't know yet what Colin's future job will be, and I would feel a little bit more
09:45comforted if I knew he was going to do something where I felt like that they were both going to
09:50be taken care of.
09:51For the children.
09:57So I want to talk to you about something.
10:01Over the last several months, I have had a lot of stress regarding what to do with my
10:08career after the military.
10:10This allows me to be me and make the decisions that I think are right.
10:15So welcome to Airely.
10:17Oh, it's like romantic.
10:20This wedding venue feels more like us.
10:24Now, as far as pricing, it could be anywhere from $12,000 to $50,000.
10:28Oh my, I'm sorry.
10:41I'm sorry.
10:42I'm sorry.
10:43What is that?
10:44Oh, that's a fat pimple.
10:46Her name's Susan.
10:49We're on our way to a wedding venue about an hour outside of DC.
10:52And I'm so excited to get back into touring wedding venues and getting in like the wedding
10:58mood.
11:01He's thrilled.
11:03So I want to talk to you about something.
11:05Over the last several months, I have had a lot of stress regarding what to do with my career
11:13after the military.
11:14So before we reach this new wedding venue, I have something really important to tell Balin.
11:19And I'm a little nervous.
11:21I'm seriously considering real estate as a possible career option after the military.
11:29I'm not going to say that it's like shocking to me to find out that this is what you want
11:36to do because I've known that any job you got outside of the military was not going to be...
11:43A corporate job.
11:44Yes.
11:45Yeah.
11:46I was really interested in real estate before I joined the military.
11:50I even did a course in course exams.
11:53I just never took my state licensing exam.
11:55I joined the military instead.
11:57So I've always had the interest in it.
12:00It's just never been the right time.
12:02It's a career where I can see myself going into work every single day and like being happy.
12:09Like it's not like a nine to five.
12:11I'm getting paid whenever I close on a house.
12:14So there might be like three months where I don't collect a single paycheck.
12:20What benefits does it come with?
12:22Freedom.
12:23Okay.
12:24But not the benefits that you are talking about.
12:28It's a big benefit, but it's also like a really big risk with not having actual any literal benefits.
12:35I mean, yeah, but you make enough money, hopefully, that you can afford healthcare.
12:41My medical bills are a lot.
12:44I'm currently covered under my parents' health insurance.
12:48However, a couple years from now, I won't be.
12:51Like that's kind of like-
12:52So how do people do it at first?
12:55If you're barely making any money at first, how are-
12:58Paying out of pocket, how can't you save?
13:01Colin is very ambitious and very hardworking, but there is a lot of uncertainties with no benefits and no healthcare and not a steady paycheck.
13:11So that's just scary.
13:13How would we even pay for that?
13:17I don't know.
13:18I'm still trying to figure everything out.
13:20First things first, we need to find a wedding menu.
13:25Like figuring out what we like and what we don't like is so much fun.
13:30We're getting really close to when we want our wedding to happen and we don't have a venue yet.
13:37The indoor wedding venue was kind of a bust.
13:40Her dad pitched the idea of his backyard being a venue and I'm glad that we're back on the road looking at actual venues, so.
13:51Do you know what color suit you want to wear?
13:53Some kind of blue or-
13:55I don't- I'm gonna be honest.
13:57I don't dig the blue.
13:58I mean-
13:59Because my eyes are blue.
14:00So anytime I wear blue, my eyes pop.
14:02I'm like the creator of the wedding and he's like the whatever he is.
14:10You're more of the planner and I'm more of the decorator and that's why we're not wearing blue.
14:17Who ends up winning?
14:18Me.
14:19Yeah, there's gonna be a lot of compromise.
14:21For you.
14:26I hope that we can like envision ourselves getting married here, you know?
14:29Yeah.
14:30Yeah.
14:37Oh my gosh, no.
14:39Come on and move closer now.
14:43This place is so big.
14:45I don't even think this is the whole thing.
14:51This place is amazing.
14:53It's so open.
14:54It's so gorgeous.
14:55It's giving me old money vibes.
15:00This place is so pretty.
15:01It's like a mansion.
15:02Yeah.
15:03It's effing huge.
15:04Hello.
15:05How are you?
15:06Nice to meet both of you.
15:07Nice to meet you.
15:08Nice to meet you.
15:09Nice to meet you.
15:10I'm Erica.
15:11So welcome to Airely.
15:12So for the tour today, we're gonna look at where ceremony would be.
15:16We'll move to cocktail hour.
15:17We'll look at reception.
15:18You are more than welcome to interrupt me for any questions that you have.
15:21We'll go through everything.
15:22Perfect.
15:24You're welcome.
15:25Let's go.
15:26Sweet.
15:27Oh, it's like romantic.
15:30This is so pretty.
15:32This is so pretty.
15:33That's like a little mushroom.
15:35So then we come down here and this is where ceremony would be.
15:38Oh, my God.
15:42Bitch.
15:45Okay.
15:46So you have multiple different spaces that you could stand.
15:48So you could stand right where you are and have the archway as the background.
15:51You could also stand over here in front of the hydranias.
15:56Oh, wow.
15:57And you would come out of the garden.
15:59I would come out of the garden like a fairy.
16:01Yeah, like a fairy.
16:02Fairy.
16:03This wedding venue feels more like us.
16:07I feel really comfortable ticking because it's outdoors and it smells fresh.
16:13Literally.
16:14My parents' backyard smells like horse manure.
16:16This place is a step closer towards our vision.
16:19And it's just like your mouth has dropped the whole time.
16:21Okay, here's one of the most important questions.
16:23Do you guys allow animals?
16:25Absolutely.
16:26Sweet.
16:27We do.
16:28We have bunnies, deer, foxes.
16:30You have horses?
16:31We have not at the moment.
16:33We don't have any horses, but we do allow horses.
16:36Whatever.
16:37Have you guys ever had alpacas?
16:38No.
16:39So there's an alpaca or a llama farm right up the road, actually.
16:42Yes.
16:43For sure.
16:44It is fate.
16:45If Bailyn gets her alpacas, then I'd definitely get my horse.
16:50Only if it's attached to a carriage.
16:52Nope.
16:55This would be reception space.
16:57Maria!
16:58You can just head on in.
17:01You're welcome.
17:02Look at the lights.
17:03This is sick.
17:04This is insane.
17:05Uh-huh.
17:06So this is the pavilion.
17:08What is great about this space is all of these windows are actually doors, so they can open
17:12up for an indoor-outdoor feel.
17:14It's so gorgeous, and it has so much natural lighting.
17:18But indoor spaces can set off my ticks, so it's really comforting knowing that all the windows
17:24and doors open up.
17:25And as far as, like, the food...
17:28You can do buffet or plated.
17:30I'm not sure if you guys have an idea of which way you're wanting to go, but we can do either
17:33or in this space.
17:34Do you guys do, like, grilled cheese sliders?
17:36So we do all kinds of things.
17:38We have a late-night bites list that has chicken and waffles.
17:41It has cupcake bar.
17:42It has the fry time.
17:43Do you have any ice cream?
17:45We can make ice cream.
17:46A queso fountain?
17:47I have a wedding doing a queso fountain here this August.
17:49Do you really?
17:50I do.
17:51I do.
17:52I mean, when I hear the words queso fountain...
17:54Diarrhea, bitch!
17:55Yeah.
17:56Sorry.
17:57I mean...
17:58Cha-cha-cha.
18:01And for our guests, where is the closest place for them to stay?
18:08Here.
18:09Like, 180 people could stay here.
18:11We have 123 rooms on property.
18:12Holy .
18:13We also have two cottages.
18:14So you would actually get a complimentary room the night of your wedding.
18:18It's an all-inclusive.
18:20That's just amazing.
18:21And we haven't seen a venue like that.
18:24Now, as far as pricing, how would it be for a weekend between May and June?
18:30Pricing is a very wide range.
18:33So, like a day of wedding, it could be anywhere from $12,000 to $50,000.
18:37But I do send you a proposal so you have a good idea of what it would look like.
18:41Everything about this place seems perfect.
18:45But then when the price is brought up...
18:48Your heart drops to your ass.
18:51You guys have any questions for in here?
18:53I do not. I'm just obsessed with the whole property.
18:57I can very much see myself getting married here.
19:02The price has got to be right.
19:04Why ain't it? This is what the case of that one is going to look like.
19:07Yep.
19:08You guys are getting married. You're going to eventually want children.
19:12Colin's not 100% sure what his next path is.
19:16Like, a medical plan is probably the number one thing when it comes to jobs.
19:21At some point, you're going to have to trust me to be able to take care of your daughter.
19:43You got this girl!
19:45How are you?
19:46Good to see you.
19:47We're going through doggy outfits.
19:49Okay, perfect. So that's what we're doing?
19:51Basically, I need to organize them to see if they still fit them or not.
19:55Okay!
19:57These puppies have more clothes than I do.
19:59Here's Tootsie's Sunday finance. You're good Tootsie!
20:03Would you wear these at the wedding too? Huh?
20:06Hey Tootsie, does Valen have good taste when it comes to your fashion?
20:10Fluff. You like this, friend?
20:15She goes, absolutely not, Mom.
20:18Luffy, what do you think about your dress?
20:24You like Tootsie's bathing suit? Nothing but modest in this house.
20:27Okay!
20:28This is the .
20:30Colin would want me in for the wedding.
20:31I would be like, this is it!
20:32Speaking of that, how is that going?
20:34It's going.
20:35It's going?
20:36Okay.
20:37We just got done looking at a wedding venue, and it was gorgeous.
20:40But I'm just scared to see how much it's going to cost.
20:44So it might be out of our budget.
20:46So are you excited about looking at dresses, trying them on?
20:49I'm so excited.
20:50But I'm a little nervous to try them on.
20:53I need to get in shape first.
20:55My new med, which is a mood stabilizer, makes me gain weight like crazy.
21:00Two years ago, I took a medication, and it made me gain 30 pounds in a month.
21:07Not 13, 30!
21:09So I'm a little bit more than concerned going down this route again.
21:13When I tell you nothing fits, my jeans don't fit, I'm surprised my sweatpants do, my bras.
21:21I don't know what's going on.
21:23I need to be able to walk down the aisle, not be rolled, okay?
21:28But having said that, I've looked at pictures online of, like, dresses, but I've never...
21:33I haven't tried any on.
21:34Should we look at some?
21:35Let's do it!
21:36That's the thing!
21:37Let's go look at them!
21:38There's two types of style dresses that I can envision myself.
21:42in either princess style or a boho dress.
21:49But also, I change my mind too much.
21:52Okay.
21:53Cute.
21:54What do you like about this one?
21:55So I like...
21:56The ruffles at the bottom.
21:57Yeah, it's like a start to the ruffles.
21:59You want to have tiers, you want to have layers.
22:01Yes!
22:02Yes, so that's like the bottom.
22:03Okay.
22:04This is cute.
22:06I like the silk.
22:07But it's too simple.
22:09Okay, I love this.
22:11Okay, I love this.
22:12That is really pretty.
22:13I like...
22:14Do you like lace?
22:15Yes, but I like the sleeves more.
22:18My sister's gonna hate me when she's gonna have to butt and all that.
22:22Is she gonna be your maid of honor, right?
22:24Love that.
22:25Yeah.
22:26I know that my mom would love to be as involved as possible.
22:30But, well, without a date and without a venue, I don't got no information to give.
22:36But I do know my mom and my sister would be very devastated if I did not take them wedding dress shopping.
22:41Would they even talk to me?
22:45Like...
22:48Pink.
22:49Like, would you be open to not having a...
22:51Okay, I could do pink, just not this color pink.
22:54What does Colin think about?
22:55Colin doesn't know what I'm wearing when I go down the aisle until I walk down the aisle.
23:00I know Colin wants everything traditional.
23:02White shoes, white veil, white dress.
23:04That sucks.
23:05I will not not be in color.
23:08Okay, that is so pretty.
23:11I like that pink.
23:12I like the train.
23:13I could dig that.
23:15Oh, yes!
23:16That's cute.
23:17This is perfect.
23:18There we go.
23:19I like the swirls.
23:20I like how big it is.
23:21It looks so fun to, like, throw around, you know?
23:23Yes.
23:24I am prepared to wear whatever dress, whatever color, whatever style dress I want in hopes
23:30that he will be jaws to the floor.
23:34I want that dress.
23:35What is he going to say if I come down the aisle in a pink, bright pink dress?
23:39What is he going to do?
23:40Say no?
23:41No.
23:42Because he won't get your wings off!
23:54I'm glad that Leela was able to watch the babies.
24:02Yeah.
24:03So we're heading to Roanoke this weekend, and I'm excited to fill my family in on the non-existent
24:11wedding planning that's going on.
24:13But we have made a little bit of progress.
24:15Chuck's bald.
24:17Marlene's a dirty, fat, filthy, horny whore.
24:21Because of the new tick I have about Marlene, Marlene's a dirty, fat, filthy, horny, lying
24:26bitch.
24:27Whore.
24:32We think it's best that we stay in a hotel for the night.
24:35I hope I don't say that tick in front of your mom, even though you told me to say it
24:40in front of your mom.
24:41Yeah.
24:42She knows that you can't control it.
24:44So look her right in the eyes, into her soul.
24:46Marlene's a dirty, fat, filthy, horny whore, you bitch.
24:50Yep.
24:51And you say exactly that.
24:53No.
24:54I want her to get over the fear that she's having, or this anxiety that she's having,
25:00that my mom's going to, like, hate her for saying that.
25:04She knows she's not a fat, dirty, filthy whore.
25:06Horny whore.
25:07It's just like, to have a tick about Colin's mom, it's so inappropriate.
25:13You're bald, sir!
25:14You woke up bald!
25:15Bald o'clock!
25:16Chuck is bald!
25:17Hi, Mom.
25:18Hey, Dad.
25:19Hey, Dad.
25:20I'm with Colin.
25:21We're on our way to Roanoke to hang out with the fam.
25:22Okay.
25:23Um, I just wanted to thank you again for being so insightful and compassionate and not afraid
25:29to talk to me about, about Backner and some of the things that you saw.
25:30And it kind of prompted your dad and I to think about things.
25:31Okay.
25:32And since you and Colin are obviously in the car together, you guys are really well aware
25:33at this point what the familial genetic is, what the familial genetic is, what the family
25:37is.
25:38And I'm just going to hang out with the fam.
25:39I'm just going to hang out with the fam.
25:40Okay.
25:41Um, I just wanted to thank you again for being so insightful and compassionate and not afraid
25:43to talk to me about, about Backner and some of the things that you saw.
25:48And it kind of prompted your dad and I to think about things.
25:52Okay.
25:53Right.
25:54And since you and Colin are obviously in the car together, you guys are really well aware
25:59at this point what the familial genetic combination is with some of the things that are going on
26:05with the family.
26:06Mm-hmm.
26:07And you guys are getting married.
26:09You're going to eventually want children.
26:11Colin's not 100% sure what his next path is, whether it's staying in the military, most
26:16likely leaving.
26:17And I start thinking about medical insurance and I have some concerns.
26:22Mm-hmm.
26:23Like, a medical plan is probably the number one thing when it comes to jobs.
26:28It's not like, what do I want to do because I think it's fun and cool.
26:31It's, what does a medical plan look like?
26:33And then second is, will I make enough money to survive?
26:37So what does this have to do with Backner?
26:40We're just trying to really help better equip you with, you know, an advantage compared
26:47to figuring it out on your own and making some really serious decisions that may have
26:54difficult consequences.
26:57Balen's concern about Backner is extremely important.
27:01that's why it's up to us to explain to our kid and her fiance, this is why you need health
27:08care.
27:09Balen has a few more years left on my plan.
27:12A few more years from now, when you have children, your child is not on our plan.
27:16You need to do the best you can do for your family because if not, you better fix yourself.
27:21It's not just about medical insurance for you, Balen, but it's for your kids.
27:27Can someone just get to where this is going?
27:31Because I'm so confused.
27:33Like, what is going on?
27:35Is Backner okay?
27:36We're just watching him go.
27:38He's just a rambunctious kid.
27:39And at this point, we're just really not pursuing anything.
27:42So you guys came to the conclusion that you guys aren't taking him to the doctor?
27:46No.
27:47I think that we are like a safe, secure spot for him.
27:51And if it gets to a point where things seem to change, then, like, we've already been
27:56through this where we're like, uh-huh.
27:58Mm-hmm.
27:59I'm a little disappointed in them not taking Backner to the doctor.
28:03But I trust them with whatever decision they make.
28:06They're parenting, not me.
28:07Well, I appreciate you guys telling me.
28:10Well, we won't keep you.
28:11We love you guys, all right?
28:13All right, love you, too.
28:14We'll keep you a little bit, honey.
28:15Okay.
28:16Bye.
28:17Okay, love you.
28:18Bye.
28:19Anywho, I know what my parents mean with health insurance.
28:23I mean, my medical files are like this thick.
28:26And a lot of my siblings are pretty thick, too.
28:28I mean, your dad kind of lost me when he said stability and having health care is more important
28:36than doing something that you enjoy.
28:39I know that Colin's happiness isn't in the military, but I know it's hard for my parents,
28:44especially my dad, to trust that everything's going to work out just fine.
28:48He wants to know that there's a plan in place for a stable future.
28:51It's our life, our family, it's our household that we're going to be building.
28:58We need to be able to make decisions by ourselves.
29:02And if that involves a job that doesn't provide health benefits, like real estate, then that's
29:09something that we would have to figure out on our own.
29:13I understand that Valen's parents are worried about their daughter, but we're about to get married.
29:19And at some point, you're going to have to trust me to be able to take care of your daughter.
29:24But at the end of the day, nobody's going to tell me what job I'm going to choose.
29:30We'll be back.
29:49Yay!
29:50We're here.
29:52Yay!
29:53Oh, I think I got a dress on.
29:55How are you?
29:56Good, how are y'all?
29:57Good.
29:58I'm Aylin.
29:59Hi!
29:59How are you?
30:00I'm good, how are you?
30:01You look so pretty.
30:02Oh, you look so pretty.
30:03Oh, thank you.
30:04It is very hard to go a couple of months
30:06without seeing my son.
30:07It's just, I like talking to him a lot.
30:10Oh, I'm glad you got to come in.
30:11I'm a seeing ya.
30:12I mean, it's been months since they got engaged,
30:15so I'd love to just get an idea of where they're at
30:18with all of the planning.
30:19I haven't heard anything.
30:21I just, I like details.
30:22What have you guys been doing in the meantime?
30:24Well, we're...
30:25We're still looking at, uh...
30:28We're still looking at venues.
30:30Um, that was good.
30:32Pretty accurate, if I do say so myself.
30:36Oh, Lord.
30:37Um, we went and seen a couple venues.
30:40One was indoor.
30:41Like, all indoors.
30:43High-end, like, chandeliers everywhere.
30:45Like, everything was marble.
30:47It was very echoey, like...
30:48That's why we didn't really like it,
30:50because it just, like, made her feel like
30:52she had to hold in her tics.
30:53So then we looked at this other place.
30:55What?
30:56It was really beautiful.
30:57It was, like, on this, like, compound,
30:58but we just don't know if it's gonna be
31:01within our price range.
31:02Okay.
31:02And then we have a cheaper option.
31:04Yeah.
31:05My parents' backyard.
31:06Oh.
31:07They brought that up.
31:08Okay.
31:09Have you thought about any around here?
31:13I haven't looked at any around here.
31:15Well, maybe you can check out some places
31:17around here on your way back.
31:19See if there's some you can look at.
31:21That'd be awesome.
31:22Collin has a lot of older persons in his family.
31:24Like, his granddad, his grandma,
31:26a lot of them take a lot of medication, too.
31:28So he would probably get more family members
31:31to come to his wedding if it's closer.
31:34Ride the horse.
31:36Collin wants a horse.
31:37Yeah, I do want a horse.
31:39And I want an alpaca.
31:40Just think about it.
31:41Instead of having a getaway car,
31:43that's our getaway car, the horse.
31:44We get on the horse, and we ride it.
31:45I don't like horses, though.
31:46I don't.
31:47Put the horse in front of a carriage,
31:49and get in the carriage, and let the horse-
31:50Well, then you're not on the horse.
31:51You're not on the horse, though.
31:53How are you going to get on a horse in a tux?
31:55You're going to rip your pants.
31:56I'm not going to wear tight pants.
31:58I'll find a way to get on that-
31:59Oh, my gosh.
32:00Even if I rip my pants.
32:01This is not going to end, boy.
32:03No, it's honestly not.
32:05And that's why I just let him run.
32:06Let him go.
32:08He used to have this stick horse
32:09that he would ride around the house, too.
32:12But only with his gun holster.
32:14That's it.
32:16Butt naked.
32:16I'd be butt naked.
32:18My horse head on a stick.
32:19Ride the horse.
32:20Every night?
32:22No, it was any time I had to take a shower.
32:24Right before the shower.
32:25Sounds a little OCD.
32:26I would just get, like, the zoomies or whatever,
32:28and I'd be like, oh, I'm so excited for my shower,
32:30and let me go ride my horse.
32:32Ride the horse.
32:32Well, you're never that excited anymore for a shower.
32:35So it's OK.
32:36I did a lot of things when I was three and four, too.
32:39So mom told me the other day that you weren't feeling well.
32:42Are you still feeling bad?
32:43You're bald.
32:44Yeah.
32:45That, too.
32:47Sorry.
32:48It's OK.
32:49I have a really very, Marlene's a dirty, fat,
32:52filthy, horny whore.
32:58This specific tick is really uncomfortable for me,
33:01because nobody wants to be called any of those things,
33:03especially Colin's mom.
33:07I'm just going to let that out now and say, you have a very
33:10extensive tick, and I don't want you to be offended.
33:13That's OK.
33:15OK.
33:16I am not going to be offended.
33:17OK.
33:18I think in that moment, she might have been embarrassed.
33:20Hmm.
33:22So I think she might have some inner feelings about her tics
33:26and that she can't maybe express them fully
33:29in front of us yet.
33:30But for me, I've gotten to the point where
33:32her Tourette's is her Tourette's.
33:34I know where her heart is, and I know how she truly feels
33:37about me.
33:38So I just want her to know that it's OK.
33:40It's been eating away at me.
33:42My mom's reaction was that she just didn't care.
33:44And she wouldn't be offended, which was really, really nice.
33:46Like I said.
33:47I know, but I needed to hear it from her, not from you.
33:50I'll take a bow.
33:51Take a dick.
33:52Take a dick.
33:53Take a dick.
33:55Take a dick.
33:56I mean, there's so many things that go into a wedding.
33:59What is the number one thing for each of you?
34:03For me, it's budget.
34:05I want the wedding to be as colorful as possible.
34:08That's just everything I can hope.
34:09We're all going to be wearing pink.
34:11Please!
34:12Please!
34:13I tried to get Colin in a pink tux, and he's like,
34:14I will not wear that.
34:15Don't blame me.
34:16I wear pink tux.
34:17I love pink.
34:18Yes!
34:19Can I wear shorts?
34:20No.
34:21Skinny jeans.
34:22Skinny jeans with holes.
34:23No, I'm not in skinny jeans.
34:24All right.
34:25All right.
34:26Well, I'm going to start cleaning up some of this stuff then.
34:28It gets me excited to know that his family is also excited.
34:32Now we're talking.
34:33Now we're talking wedding.
34:35Well, definitely.
34:36I'm going to be as cool as possible as possible.
34:38That's just everything I can hope.
34:39We're all going to be wearing pink.
34:40We'll definitely find ways to get y'all involved.
34:43But I do think that we should check out a place on the way back to D.C. tomorrow, like
34:47a venue.
34:48I agree.
34:49I would like to have some involvement with Colin in the wedding.
34:52But it needs to be their day.
34:54It needs to be what they've planned, what they wanted.
34:56But I'd be more than happy to be a part of anything that they would like for me to have.
35:00Let me see, what the heck's going on?
35:02Hey, Colleen.
35:03Can I talk to you real quick?
35:05Sure.
35:10I want to talk to my sister because, besides Vaylin, my sister really knows me the best.
35:15I have a lot of things on my mind right now with wedding planning, the job after military, and Alan's opinion that job stability is more important than happiness, which is just crazy to me.
35:28It's a lot.
35:29What's up?
35:30So, aside from the wedding, there's a lot of, like, big life decisions that I have coming up that I have to make.
35:49And I know that you are doing real estate.
35:52Yeah, yeah, yeah.
35:53I've always been super interested in real estate.
35:56So, I wanted to ask you, how's it going?
35:59What's your thoughts about it?
36:00Yeah.
36:01I mean, for me, I have a full-time job, and I do real estate part-time.
36:06What are you thinking?
36:07It would be a full-time gig.
36:09Okay.
36:10Why real estate?
36:11Because you could go months without having a paycheck.
36:15And that's definitely something that you have to not only financially prepare for, but mentally prepare for.
36:22Yeah.
36:23It is scary to think that I couldn't make a single paycheck for an entire year.
36:28So, yeah, there is a risk.
36:30But if this happens, I'm going to give real estate everything in my body for it to succeed.
36:36And I just, like, had a lot of outside noise and pressure.
36:39Who's causing the outside noise?
36:41That would be Alan.
36:44Alan, her father.
36:46Okay.
36:47I think that as long as it benefits you and Balin, that's all that matters.
36:52Okay.
36:53Just shut out the noise.
36:56They're creating a life together.
36:59I think the outside noise can create a lot of distraction.
37:04It's not my parents.
37:06It's not her parents.
37:07It's their life.
37:09I appreciate that.
37:10Of course.
37:11I love that my family has my back.
37:14And I know that I'm going to regret it if I don't even just try.
37:19Simply because it's something that I've been wanting to do for a very long time.
37:23And it's very, very important to have Balin believe in me.
37:32For the longest time.
37:33It's been me and you.
37:34For the longest time.
37:35It's been me and you.
37:36For the longest time.
37:37It's been me and you.
37:39I want to stay right here.
37:41I know the look on your face.
37:42Come back, come back away.
37:43Cause I don't want to lose you now.
37:44This is country roads right here.
37:58So we're still waiting on the early budget proposal and it right now it's the one to beat, but today
38:06we are taking my mom's suggestion to look at a venue closer to Roanoke and we found a beautiful
38:13location that would fit us in last minute for a tour right before we head home. I'm I'm so excited.
38:20I just hope I hope it's in our price range because oh
38:28look at this. Oh my gosh look at this side. Oh my god it's a barn.
38:39Oh my god I don't think we need to look for anything else. This is crazy. Home suite let's
38:50get eloped today. I'm in a dress. I don't see a horse getting up here. That's all I
38:57mean you don't see a horse. I don't see a horse getting up. I'm not taking a horse and carriage
39:01down that road. This is a private tour right? Yeah. Yeah. Where they at? Who is that? That's my mom
39:13and my sister. I asked them to join us. You didn't want to share any of that with me until they arrived?
39:19I really want my family to be involved in the wedding planning. Why couldn't you tell me they
39:26were coming? Because I I wanted them to. Hi. Hi guys. So I invited my mom and my sister to look at
39:35this venue last minute because I don't know when they're going to be able to help us out in the
39:40future. Hey. Hey. Hey. I always wonder why we were waiting out here. Oh thanks for having us. Yeah. I don't
39:46understand why Colin couldn't just tell me that he invited his mom and his sister on this tour.
39:50Don't get me wrong. I love Colin's family. I just know that my mom has been dying to be a part of
39:58wedding planning and the last person I want to hurt is my mom. I feel ambushed.
40:04It's margarita time. I've never needed to drink more. So we went and saw a wedding venue that we
40:20decided last minute to see and Khalid and Marlene surprised me there by coming.
40:25So your dad and I had like this little idea. It's the last little idea you had. We had therapy.
40:31Yeah. I think this one's better than therapy. Okay. Your mom and I want to have a big party.
40:36Like an engagement party? Absolutely. Do you think that your parents have some kind of ulterior motive
40:41behind it? My dad offered my parents' backyard as a wedding venue. Okay. It's just he's having a lot
40:51of influence on our lives right now. Whether it's the venues or what career I want to go into.
41:01Bye.
41:03Today's Van Collins engagement party and it's looking pretty amazing.
41:07Oh my gosh. They kind of overdid themselves.
41:10I didn't envision any of this. It makes me change my mind.
41:17We're making the right decision, right?
41:20I don't know, are we?
41:21We're making the right decision, right?
41:21I don't know, are we?
