00:00Just went to the Balenciaga show makeup grade.
00:08Kinda feels good.
00:10Second look at the day.
00:12You guys guess where I'm at?
00:14In a private room after the Balmain show.
00:17Look at this runway look.
00:19Getting ready. About to walk out the door.
00:22Back to Givenchy.
00:24With Courtney.
00:30You guys I have FOMO. Everyone's leaving me and I just got a spray tan.
00:34So I can't leave.
00:36Don't go.
00:46Breaking overnight, two men held up Kim Kardashian at gunpoint and stole two cell phones and jewelry worth millions of dollars.
00:53The police say the robbers tied up Kardashian West and locked her in the bathroom before escaping on bikes.
01:00Do you feel guilty at all about what happened?
01:03Do you feel guilty at all about what happened?
01:14So do you not think that she was traumatized?
01:17Oh, without a doubt, yes.
01:18Yes, of course.
01:19We don't go out of the place where she navigated.
01:22We don't know that.
01:23Of course, she was traumatized.
01:24Of course.
01:25I don't doubt it.
01:26I don't doubt it.
01:27In 2016, my life changed forever.
01:37Okay, we are still talking about this.
01:42It's nine years later.
01:44We just landed in Paris and we are here for the trial.
02:08It seems just very surreal that it's been almost 10 years and this is finally happening.
02:15I just want to get this over with.
02:18I want to go in and do what I do and tell my story and that's it.
02:22You should see me in the crowd.
02:25After almost nine years since a terrifying attack and robbery on Kim Kardashian, the suspects in that violent crime are now on trial.
02:34Ten people are facing court.
02:36Five are accused of taking part in the heist and five are accused of being accessories to the crime.
02:42Look at all these police officers.
02:46It took almost a decade for multiple reasons.
02:49I think the first five years they were gathering evidence.
02:52Wow.
02:53Look at this.
02:54Oh, guns.
02:55Look at the behind the machine guns.
02:56Then COVID happened.
02:58Then the Olympics happened.
02:59Is this what it's going to be like the whole time?
03:01I guess so.
03:02Probably.
03:03And so I'm just happy that we're finally here.
03:07How do you feel about tomorrow?
03:09I feel good.
03:11Yeah?
03:12Yeah.
03:13It's so surreal to have to look at these people that did this to you like in the face.
03:20Yeah.
03:21Make eye contact or not.
03:24But to be able to see them in daylight.
03:26Yeah.
03:27Ten years later.
03:28Nine years later.
03:29Yeah.
03:30Let's go through the night and what you remember.
03:39Yeah.
03:40Yeah.
03:41In 2016, we all went to Paris.
03:45Me, Courtney, Stephanie, and Simone.
03:48We went to Fashion Week.
03:49Oh, look at this cutie trying to get in.
03:52Look at that cutie.
03:53We were just going to have fun.
03:55Kendall was there.
03:56My mom was there.
03:57We had just been to a Givenchy fashion show with the whole family.
04:03We were having the time of our lives.
04:06Look at Quartz's outfit.
04:07I was in Paris when Kim was robbed and was staying in the apartment with her and Simone and Stephanie.
04:16When the robbery happened, I was actually in Paris for Fashion Week.
04:20And Stephanie and I were out at a nightclub with Kendall.
04:25Security had left with me because Kim was just going to bed and Simone was just going to bed.
04:30I'm Simone Harouche and I've known Kim since we were 12 years old.
04:36They were in an apartment with a doorman and a gate.
04:39You know, we didn't think that they needed security there.
04:43And you see everyone leaving me for the night.
04:46And little did all the robbers know that Simone was really with me and stayed back with me.
04:51Everyone kind of thought I was by myself.
04:53But Simone was downstairs.
04:55I was just in bed, falling asleep, just closed my computer.
05:02It was like 2 or 3 in the morning.
05:04And I heard stomping up the stairs.
05:07And I remember thinking, you know, it was just Courtney and Steph and they must have been drunk.
05:13And I was calling for them.
05:15You know, when you're woken up out of your sleep, sometimes you're like, am I imagining things?
05:18Is this what I'm hearing?
05:20And I sat up and I got out of bed and I went to the door and I heard men like saying things.
05:28And I just remember guys barging in that were in police uniforms.
05:34And then me seeing really quickly that the concierge from our hotel was like in handcuffs with a gun to him.
05:42And then I realized what was happening.
05:44She's screaming.
05:45Yeah.
05:46They go and grab her.
05:47Are they pointing the gun at her?
05:48You're shaking her with a gun.
05:51And I heard Kim screaming.
05:55And I was like, this is real.
05:58So I picked up my phone to call 911 and I didn't know what that was in France.
06:03So I pressed my security guard and they grabbed my phone.
06:08I've known Kim since I was little.
06:10It's like I know all of her sounds.
06:12I know her laughter.
06:13I know the tone of her voice she makes when she's annoyed, when she's happy.
06:18There's something really different.
06:20The sound that she was making.
06:24It was pure like fear.
06:27I remember looking at the concierge gentlemen and just so, I was so confused.
06:32I was like, what's happening?
06:33What's happening?
06:34Are we going to die?
06:35I just kept saying that to him.
06:36Are we going to die?
06:37It was, it was terror.
06:39It was sheer terror.
06:40My instant reaction was like, I have babies.
06:45Just let me go.
06:46Like, please.
06:47I have babies at home.
06:49I didn't see anything.
06:50Like, they can take whatever they want.
06:52And please don't kill me.
06:54I'm shaking.
06:55I'm shaking because I don't know why these men are in her room.
07:00What they want from her.
07:02Are they in the entire hotel?
07:04And so, in my mind, it wasn't just about him.
07:08It was like, they're taking over the whole hotel.
07:11Like, everyone's in trouble.
07:13Like, no one is safe.
07:15I just had my robe on.
07:16And that was it.
07:18I was like naked underneath.
07:19And at one point, he like grabbed my feet and like pulled me towards the bed.
07:23And I thought to myself, like, okay, he's going to rape you.
07:27And this is it.
07:29And I like braced myself and was like, okay.
07:32You know, I'm scared that something bad is happening to her upstairs.
07:36So, it's just like overwhelming.
07:41Your friend is screaming.
07:43You're thinking that they're violating her.
07:45Like, it's just, I, that's just what I.
07:50And then I'm thinking I'm next.
07:53And then he proceeded to like tie me up.
07:56He zip tied my hands and feet and then duct tape on top of that.
08:01While I was still on the bed.
08:05When I realized they weren't going to rape me, they were just tying me up.
08:09That's when I thought I was going to die.
08:12Because he had put tape over my face, over my mouth and over my eyes.
08:20So, I think that uncertainty of what's going to happen was just the most terrifying feeling.
08:29I'm thinking I have to help Kim.
08:31However, I can help her because I'm the only one in the apartment with her.
08:35One of the guys just yells out ring a few times.
08:39Ring, ring.
08:40And then he saw it.
08:41Ah, I found it.
08:42Aha.
08:43Like, I just remember him saying like, aha.
08:45Then he found my other box of jewelry with all the rest of my stuff and was like screaming in excitement that he found it.
08:519-1-1 isn't a number in France.
08:54So, that was my first thing is like, who am I calling?
08:58I texted Court and Steph for help.
09:01I said that there were men upstairs with Kim.
09:04And Courtney responded immediately.
09:07I got a text from Simone that said, I just heard Kim say, take anything you want.
09:16We had just had that conversation at lunch saying that if we were ever getting robbed, that we would say, take whatever you want.
09:27It was just so crazy.
09:29And so I said, we're on our way.
09:32I remember running out of the club and I saw Courtney and the security guard getting into the car and they were like, we have to go.
09:37We have to go.
09:38Like, Kim's been robbed.
09:39Something happened.
09:40I was thinking about Courtney.
09:41You know, I hope when her and Stephanie walk in the room, that like, they won't be traumatized for the rest of their lives.
09:49That they will, I said a prayer for them and my family.
09:54Then we just raced out, got in the car, Kendall was with me.
09:59And we just went straight to the apartment and we called my mom.
10:04A call like that is truly unbelievable.
10:07And that's my biggest fear in life is that something bad would happen to one of my children.
10:15Once they were finished, they picked me up and put me in the bathroom and then shut the door and then ran out.
10:23I heard loud footsteps going down the stairs.
10:26I heard them pass my room.
10:29So I knew that they weren't coming to me and then I heard the door close.
10:33They fled on bikes with a bag of jewels, leaving Kim and the concierge grateful to be alive.
10:39The zip tie wasn't on tight.
10:41And so I was able to get out of it.
10:43And then I was able to pull it off my face.
10:46And then I hear Kim coming down the stairs and she's, she's calling my name.
10:54And she still has tape around her legs and she's, her bathrobe is off of her.
11:01It's like undone.
11:03And I, I definitely, I thought she would, had been raped.
11:06I still didn't even think that they had robbed her.
11:10You know, she looked like she had been violated and she had been, I mean, yeah.
11:18And then Kim called me like a couple minutes later and was like screaming and just was like, help me.
11:27Like screaming on the top of her lungs, help, help me.
11:31I like fell to the ground.
11:33Like my knees just like went out and I fell to the ground.
11:37It's all such a blur.
11:39And all I knew to do was get in the car and go there.
11:42Thank God I was with her in the same city.
11:44We were five minutes away from each other.
11:47I got there immediately.
11:48We were all together.
11:50And then the police got there.
11:52I just remember being in a state of shock, but then also just in a state of distrusting everyone.
11:58Because the guys came in dressed like police and then the real police are wearing the same exact uniforms.
12:03And then I was like, wait, who's in on this?
12:06Like, who do I trust?
12:08Is this real?
12:09Is this not real?
12:10I remember saying to myself, okay, the cops came, you're safe, but now you need to go home.
12:19You just need to get home and then you'll be okay.
12:22And then this feeling that you're feeling will go away and you don't have to be scared.
12:29It was so much emotional shutdown in my brain.
12:38I don't understand what's just gone on.
12:40Everybody's screaming.
12:41It was one of the most devastating nights.
12:46What does it feel like to feel like you're gonna die?
12:50You're just in pure sheer panic.
12:53Like you're just, you know, and then like I said, a prayer.
12:57I always know that there's like a bigger plan and it's always God's plan.
13:02And so you kind of make peace with that.
13:05No matter what, it's going to be okay.
13:09What a terrifying thing to have to go through when you think you're never going to see your children again.
13:20Yeah.
13:21Or just like that changed the trajectory of how we have to live our lives.
13:25Yeah.
13:26With security the way that we do.
13:28Right.
13:29It's changed our lives forever.
13:31We would have one security for like all of us for the trips.
13:34We just never thought we needed it like that.
13:37I didn't, I never felt unsafe, you know?
13:41I used to walk around in the city in sweats and a hoodie and like no security.
13:48Yeah.
13:49By ourselves.
13:50Right.
13:51So this experience changed the way that I live, changed the way that I can comfortably sleep at night.
13:59I don't know.
14:00I don't know if that's just a blessing in disguise because something maybe crazier could have happened
14:06had we not changed our security detail.
14:09Well, it'll be over soon.
14:1248 hours, we can put this behind us.
14:20I mean, maybe this is why they gave us a police escort because these guys are so aggressive.
14:29We've got police escorts.
14:31We've got 10 times the security.
14:35This is crazy.
14:36Didn't they learn anything from Diana?
14:38And the paparazzi are surrounding us right now.
14:42And we can barely move our car and it's starting to feel really unsafe.
14:47These, look at these people.
14:49What the hell?
14:51There's nuts, girl.
14:53Shouldn't be allowed in, right?
14:55Look at these people.
14:56Back up.
14:57Back up.
14:58Oh, my God.
14:59Hold on, hold on, hold on.
15:00This just doesn't feel safe.
15:10The only way I think people would get that this was a nod tonight was if I did, like,
15:15the long straight hair and, like, no makeup.
15:17Yeah.
15:18It's the day before the trial and I'm gonna have a fitting just to see what I'm gonna wear.
15:23It's really important that I'm here and that I'm present, but I do have the bar exam two
15:28months away, so I have to study while I'm here.
15:32Got a hundred percent on this quiz.
15:34And then I have to meet with my attorneys just to go over everything and they're gonna
15:38tell me what it's like and what a French trial is like.
15:41Hi, Moni.
15:43Hi.
15:44Hi.
15:45Hi.
15:46Everyone, this is Simone.
15:47Hi, everyone.
15:48Hi.
15:49Hi.
15:50Hi.
15:51One of my lifers.
15:52We grew up together.
15:53She's a stylist, so she came with me ten years ago.
15:58And she's here to testify since she witnessed it all.
16:01Hi.
16:02When did you get in?
16:03I got in, like, a couple hours ago.
16:05How was New York?
16:06It was so nice.
16:07It was?
16:08We had the best time.
16:09Should we try on the final look to see if that's what we want?
16:13It was really random how we met.
16:15My mom and Faye Resnick were friends.
16:20And she brought me to Chris's house.
16:23Chris was like, I have a daughter your age.
16:25She'll be home in an hour.
16:27You should wait.
16:28And you guys should meet.
16:30She was like, her room's upstairs.
16:32You can go upstairs and just wait for her.
16:34And I remember going into Kim's room and being shook by all the makeup she had on the counter.
16:40I was 12 and I don't think I even knew how to use a lip liner.
16:45And Kim had professional makeup laid out on her bathroom.
16:50And she walked in and she's like, hey, I'm Kim.
16:53And I ended up sleeping over that night.
16:55We, like, immediately just hit it off.
16:57And we've been friends ever since.
17:01So is this for tomorrow or is this, okay.
17:04I just think that the attorney just kept scaring me being like, I need photos.
17:08Like they kicked out some of the people because they were inappropriately dressed.
17:13Really?
17:14What is inappropriately dressed?
17:15Like they were too casual.
17:17So like they're taking it seriously.
17:19And I get really like defensive when they're, I just want to go in and like all diamonds.
17:24Are you doing that?
17:26I want to.
17:27I don't see why we can't.
17:30The prosecutor keeps sending notes on how they want me to dress.
17:35They want me to really tone it down, not wear any jewelry.
17:39I mean, I think it's like going to be deemed to the court as disrespectful, but what they did was disrespectful.
17:49Yes.
17:50And I find it powerful.
17:52So if they say something, oh, what can they do?
17:58I think you should.
18:00I don't like when people tell me what to do.
18:04I know how to dress.
18:07I know what's appropriate and what's not appropriate.
18:10I don't want to downplay who I am for someone else.
18:15So it really rubs me the wrong way when people start giving me all these rules and try to tell me who I should be.
18:24Shouldn't this be a little tighter?
18:26Hi.
18:27Hi.
18:28Hi.
18:29I bring you great greetings with tidings.
18:32Enjoy.
18:33What is it?
18:34Cheesecake.
18:35Yum.
18:37Hi.
18:38Hi.
18:39How are you doing?
18:41I'm okay.
18:42How are you?
18:43Good.
18:44Are you nervous?
18:45I'll be nervous when I walk in, you know?
18:48Yeah.
18:49Like, what if I forget something?
18:51Like, try to put yourself back there if you can for a minute and maybe it'll just be such great closure for you.
18:59Yeah.
19:00I know it's hard, easy for me to say because I wasn't in the room with you guys, but I was down the street.
19:05Yeah.
19:08Yeah.
19:09Mom.
19:11It doesn't matter how much time passes.
19:14I will always be emotional about this, forever and ever.
19:18I talk about it and it takes me back to what could have happened.
19:24And by the grace of God, what didn't happen.
19:28That, you go back to that call, you know?
19:31Of you in the bushes calling me.
19:33In the bushes.
19:34You were, I'm behind a bush.
19:36We were hiding in the bushes.
19:37You were like, I'm on a balcony in the bush and I just got robbed.
19:39This is where we need to go.
19:40I'm like.
19:41In the bushes.
19:42No, or when you open the window and you're like, if they come back, we're jumping out the window.
19:46And it was just like.
19:47You guys were ready to jump down to the cement.
19:50Down for anything.
19:51We didn't know why they were there and if they were coming back for other things.
19:57Kim immediately went into like, where is the exit?
20:01She was like, if they come back and we're in this room, we have to jump out of the window.
20:05And that just like onto the street.
20:07We were only one floor up, but still it was a high floor.
20:11But that's how scary it was that that was the option for safety is jumping out of a window
20:18and breaking our bodies.
20:20Do you remember this?
20:21Hold on.
20:22I'll be right back.
20:23North gave me this Lego and was like, this is a treasure box that will keep you safe,
20:29mommy.
20:30I'm putting magical things in it.
20:32So right before my trip to Paris nine years ago, North, when I was leaving, she must have been three years old.
20:39And Saint was one.
20:41She gave me a Lego treasure box.
20:44And so I would put it by my bed and we'd be like, we made it another night from Isis.
20:49We kept thinking it was like Isis that was going to pass.
20:51No, I, I remember like that part.
20:54For some reason, I was so nervous about going on this trip.
20:58I was so nervous about Isis.
21:00Isis was such a thing.
21:02And I was like, oh my God, they're going to get us.
21:05They grabbed it because it was in the Louis Vuitton thing with all my jewelry.
21:09And they threw this out.
21:11And so I, this was the only thing that I got to keep.
21:14And I kept it and I took it home with me.
21:16And I was like, this kept me safe.
21:18I was like, who cares about the jewels?
21:19It kept me safe.
21:20So now I brought it to keep us safe.
21:22So we can like rub the little Lego treasure box.
21:25I actually remember this on the side of your like bed.
21:28I would, I would every night we would be like, we made it.
21:31When they took all my stuff, that was the only thing that they left.
21:36And so they kept me safe.
21:39You look so great from behind.
21:42I know you've never heard that before.
21:44But I thought as your mother, I could say it.
21:47Hello, hello, hello, hello.
21:59How are you?
22:00How are you?
22:01Good.
22:03Hello.
22:04Hi.
22:05How are you?
22:06Hi, beautiful.
22:07Good to see you.
22:08This is Simone, everyone.
22:09Hi, it's a pleasure to meet you in person.
22:11How are you?
22:12Hi.
22:13So I'm meeting with my French legal team.
22:16Lenore has been on the case from the beginning.
22:19And I brought my attorney Mike from home.
22:23How was today?
22:24Today was interesting.
22:26It was the guy that mans the hotel at night.
22:29Uh-huh.
22:30So he testified for quite some time, maybe four hours.
22:33Wow.
22:34He was asked how he felt at one point.
22:36He said, I thought I was going to die.
22:38And then he said, and I'm sure Kim thought she was going to die.
22:43The French media has referred to them as the grandpa robbers.
22:47Mm-hmm.
22:48Yeah.
22:49Some of them look quite old and infirm.
22:52One man has, um...
22:53Cancer.
22:54Yeah.
22:55And one guy's, one of the main guys has a cane.
22:58It's very, looks quite old.
23:01I think the term the grandpa robbers is offensive.
23:06It sort of minimizes their strength and intensity and, oh, they're weak and feeble.
23:13They couldn't have been scary.
23:15I didn't think for a second that they were less harmful because of their age
23:20or that they wouldn't have killed me because of their age.
23:25These men had guns.
23:26Like, they were bigger men.
23:29When someone barges in your room in the middle of the night when you're sleeping,
23:33with a gun to your head and a mask over their face,
23:38I did not think that they were old when they came in the room.
23:42Wait, so this was the guy that tied me up?
23:45Kim didn't see what they looked like, but she saw their guns,
23:49and she felt their force when they were taping her up.
23:53They had to show me in my prep the photos of what they look like now
23:57versus what they looked like 10 years ago.
23:59You would not recognize them.
24:01They were fit.
24:02They were sound.
24:03They had guns.
24:05Do you want to talk about logistics tomorrow?
24:07Yeah, we were thinking it might be important for you to go with Simone.
24:11That's fine.
24:12Hers is at 9 a.m.
24:13Christy can go with Simone.
24:15Yeah.
24:16And they can meet you guys there with my sister.
24:18Whatever you want to do, you're going to go on at 1.30.
24:21Perfect.
24:22Oh, I knew.
24:23There was one other thing I wanted to tell you both.
24:25You're standing.
24:26I'm standing?
24:27You're standing.
24:28Oh, fabulous.
24:29I hate standing.
24:30You're like this.
24:31I get exhausted.
24:33So it's six hours of standing.
24:35So wear comfortable shoes.
24:37I don't have any comfortable shoes.
24:40I know.
24:41I know.
24:42That was probably a stupid remark.
24:43You did bring those slippers.
24:44You just showed us.
24:45Can you imagine?
24:46I won't.
24:59We have 20 minutes.
25:00I'm done.
25:01I think we're just really trying to focus on what we're about to do and where we're about
25:14to go and Kim's role in all of this is just to testify the best of her ability.
25:22That's all she can do and try to somehow lead the jurors and the president and the judges
25:32to understand what happened to her that night in the middle of the night and how terrifying that was and how it's changed her entire life.
25:41I hate that she has to relive it all over again.
25:45That breaks my heart for her.
25:46But I'm here to support her and just to be here for her and help her through a really hard day.
25:55So we're running a bit late on time.
25:59It's a terrible end to this very serious.
26:04But a girl's got to do her hair.
26:06She's got to look cute.
26:08Today is the day of the trial and Simone got up really early to go do her testimony.
26:17So I can't wait to hear what it's like.
26:21Are you going to do this every time I come say the brands in the wrong ways?
26:30Yeah.
26:31Exactly.
26:32Always on camera.
26:33I don't know whether I just do like an Oxford, Saint Laurent Oxford with laces.
26:39I can't.
26:40Saint Laurent.
26:41Saint Laurent.
26:42How do you say Saint Laurent?
26:44Saint Laurent.
26:45But I don't go Saint Laurent or whatever you say.
26:48You said it more French.
26:49Saint Laurent.
26:50I see.
26:51I said it very French.
26:52Bottega Veneta.
26:53Bottega Veneta.
26:54I get it.
26:55But it's more fun this way.
26:58Simone.
26:59Simone.
27:00Simone.
27:01Tell us everything.
27:02Okay.
27:03Tell us everything.
27:04Tell us what happened.
27:07It's.
27:08Um.
27:09It was.
27:10Tell us everything.
27:11It's really hot.
27:13I need to just warn you.
27:15Okay.
27:16There's not really a breeze and there's no air.
27:17I cried a lot.
27:18How many times?
27:19Oh, just the whole time.
27:20I just cried.
27:21So they were happy about that because I was, I was very emotional.
27:26I definitely think Simone needed closure.
27:29And I think that this was really good for her.
27:32This is something that really affected Simone.
27:35And I'm really proud of her for being so strong and doing this with me.
27:40One of the main guys sitting right, right here.
27:44Like where?
27:45So you're on the podium.
27:46Yeah.
27:47And the guy is literally.
27:48The criminal?
27:49Yeah.
27:50Like in the, right out of the corner of your eye.
27:52Stop it.
27:53Yeah.
27:54They're all around.
27:55And there's like nine of them.
27:56I don't know Kim, you would have been proud of me.
27:59I was like pretty, I wasn't really like shook by them.
28:03Yeah.
28:04Cause they were like, why didn't you go to Kim?
28:06I was like, you need to understand the kind of person that Kim is and the kind of person
28:10that I am.
28:11Cause like, they were like so confused why.
28:13You wouldn't run up there.
28:14Yeah.
28:15I can't even believe that anyone would even think that it was her responsibility to come
28:20up in the middle of what she knew to be a scary situation.
28:25Hearing me cry and scream.
28:27Imagine hearing that.
28:28And then she's just going to walk up and be like, Hey, what's going on?
28:31And like, try to break it up or think that she could.
28:34It happened the way it was supposed to ladies.
28:37Yeah.
28:38Thank God you didn't come out.
28:39Simone's very frantic.
28:41I think she wouldn't have known what to do.
28:44And like in an emergency situation, it just would have been a, it's like great.
28:50She didn't come out.
28:51She would have had us killed.
28:53Seriously.
28:54Just with, I just with like, I knew when to like.
28:58Hold them.
28:59No.
29:00Shut the up.
29:02I think that they would have got so defensive.
29:05All the robbers.
29:06If they heard noise downstairs, if they thought someone else was there.
29:10They had no clue she was there and she was able to hear it all and call for help and be there the second they left.
29:19And that was the best decision she ever made.
29:23And had she come up, we would have died for sure.
29:27So what are you, are you going to do a lot of diamonds?
29:30Yeah.
29:31Like this?
29:32100%.
29:33Should I wear the ring that they stole from me that I ended up replacing for a bigger one?
29:40Replacing?
29:41Yes.
29:42You absolutely should.
29:43Yes.
29:44Do you have it?
29:4522 carat, baby.
29:46Oh.
29:47Major, is that the one you got?
29:48This is the one.
29:49We'll get that for you.
29:50That's her.
29:51Oh my God.
29:52Five minutes.
29:53Yes, you're wearing it.
29:54Wait.
29:55You know, I love you and I love everybody in this room, but do you think we really should
29:59walk in there with all the diamonds on?
30:01Should we rethink this?
30:02No.
30:03No.
30:04They're not going to take my power.
30:06I want to be who I want to be.
30:07Okay.
30:08And I feel like they took that away from me for so long.
30:11Yep.
30:12For years I didn't wear diamonds and I couldn't even have fathomed wearing them.
30:17And it changed the way that I operate in my home for what I keep in my home.
30:22But, like, again, on the final straw, you're still telling me what I'm not allowed to do
30:29because of what these people have done and so it wouldn't be appropriate to wear jewelry?
30:36Like, it's not being disrespectful to the courts, is it?
30:40She should be able to wear what she wants.
30:42I mean, if they comment on the jewels, it's just, that's how I feel.
30:45Micro in this hand.
30:46Micro in this hand.
30:47Hi, guys.
30:48We spoke to the prosecutor and she's against wearing any showy jewelry for the courtroom.
30:53So both of you need to really tone it down and we don't want to upset anyone in the courtroom.
30:58Like what?
30:59You gotta take it off.
31:00No.
31:01Nice.
31:02Good.
31:03Youssef?
31:04I'm here.
31:05What do you think?
31:06I'm gonna take it off.
31:07It's 2025.
31:08Like, who can tell a woman what to do?
31:09Like, it's crazy.
31:10I was being myself and you tried to literally rob me of that.
31:14And now they're taking away my experience to wear whatever I want to wear out of respect
31:21for them or so it'll look a certain way.
31:24Like, that's kind of where I draw the line here.
31:27I want to taunt the out of these losers.
31:31I want to wear whatever the I want to wear if I want to wear it.
31:35Do it.
31:36You got this.
31:37You got this.
31:38You got this, babe.
31:39Kim, why are you feeling?
31:41I'm feeling prepared.
31:43Okay, guys.
31:44We have to walk.
31:45Yeah.
31:46It's been a ride.
31:47I guess I had to go to that place to get to this one.
31:50Now some of you might still be in that place.
31:51Do you feel okay?
31:52Yeah.
31:53Simone made me feel better.
31:54You're gonna do great.
31:55I feel really calm and zen and I just think that's like how I always am.
32:00Oh my God.
32:01That's a lot of police.
32:03Calmness doesn't take away feeling emotion for me.
32:04I think I can still be in that place to get to that place to get to that place to get to this one.
32:07Now some of you might still be in that place.
32:11Do you feel okay?
32:12Yeah.
32:13Simone made me feel better.
32:15You're gonna do great.
32:17I feel really calm and zen and I just think that's like how I always am.
32:24Oh my God.
32:25That's a lot of police.
32:28Calmness doesn't take away feeling emotion for me.
32:32I think I can still be emotional and get my story out.
32:36You good to go?
32:37Yeah.
32:38Yeah.
32:39Yeah.
32:40But I'll never be fidgety and nervous to go into something.
32:43It's just not who I am.
32:45I'm not afraid.
32:46I'm not afraid.
32:47To take a stand.
32:48Take a stand.
32:50Everybody.
32:51Everybody.
32:52Everybody.
32:53Come take mine.
32:54Come take mine.
32:55We want this love together.
32:57Through the storm.
32:59Whatever.
33:00This morning, Kim Kardashian walking into court testifying for the first time in front of a
33:05man who she says she believed were going to kill her.
33:07Kim is a very calm person.
33:12She's in control.
33:13She's strong.
33:14She is not going to get emotional about it and she's just going to deal with it.
33:19And sometimes, you know what?
33:21It's really good to be Kim.
33:25Kardashian arrived and dressed defiantly in diamonds, including a ring strikingly similar to the $4 million engagement ring stolen back in 2016.
33:35Of course Kim is going to wear the diamonds.
33:38She's not going to let them win.
33:40She's not going to let them take away her dignity.
33:43And that's a very brave thing to do.
33:46I'm not afraid.
33:47I'm not afraid.
33:48Take a stand.
33:49Take a stand.
33:50I'm just not nervous.
33:52This was less than 10 minutes of my life.
33:55I've lived an amazing life.
33:57I don't know.
33:58That's always like giving me a little bit of peace just to know like, what was it?
34:01Eight, nine minutes of pure terror and panic aren't going to ruin me.
34:07I'm just so ready to face these guys and to have this just really be behind me.
34:22The whole atmosphere, the energy, everything feels surreal.
34:27And Kim is three feet from the perpetrators.
34:31What a scary thing.
34:33Even though it's been almost nine years since the robbery, Kardashian thanked the court at the start of her testimony for she said, giving her the opportunity to share her truth.
34:42When I first saw the robbers faces, I wanted to look them in the eyes.
34:47I wasn't afraid of it.
34:48Like I wasn't afraid to confront them or see them or communicate with them.
34:54I wanted to hear what they had to say.
34:57Kardashian faced the group accused of stealing more than $6 million in jewelry, giving chilling testimony about being bound, gagged and held at gunpoint.
35:07A lot of people thought this was just another part of a reality show, a staged act.
35:12And she talked about how she felt hurt so many people didn't believe her.
35:15I definitely remember people even in the vicinity near us, like questioning if this really happened.
35:22And that was, it's really gross.
35:25The narrative that my daughter would make something like this up was ludicrous.
35:31I mean, it was just unfathomable that somebody could have said something like that.
35:37Many critics think Kim Kardashian's attack was an inside job or even faked.
35:42Kardashian filed a federal lawsuit for three posts, which claimed that Kardashian faked the robbery.
35:49Howard Stern was like famously mocking it all the time and saying that it was just, I'm sick and it's such a joke and I made it all up.
35:58I remember he was so defiant about it.
36:01And I was like, how can you be so certain?
36:03Like people trust you, you know, and that, that always stuck with me also.
36:08Trusted media and people were spreading this narrative as if it was something to think about.
36:16Even my ex-husband had said, you know, and you've faked your robbery for a TV show and had said that in front of all these people.
36:28That was so like a knife to my heart.
36:35Just to think that someone wouldn't believe you is like, that's so close to you, that should know you, that should know how much that affected your life.
36:46It just really bothered me for like, you don't know who I am.
36:53So to finally be able to go to trial and, and face these people and hear their like, accounts and apologies and like, like, see guys, it was real, you know?
37:11I'm happy it's over.
37:23I think it was, you know, a heroic effort for her.
37:44She testified this was a devastating experience.
37:48And when she was asked to come, she was very committed to it for a variety of reasons, including the fact that she herself wants to become a lawyer.
37:57She's committed to the justice system in all its forms.
38:00And I think it will help her, and also Simone, who testified this morning, get past these events finally.
38:07Oh, thank God that's done.
38:12You did great.
38:13I'm so proud of you.
38:15That was maybe six hours of torture, and it's over.
38:22Kim did amazing.
38:23When is the sentencing?
38:25Do you know?
38:26Two weeks.
38:28She wanted to take her power back.
38:31And so that's exactly what she did.
38:33She's back.
38:43I'm exhausted.
38:48Just my feet hurt.
38:50How was it?
38:51It was, it was good.
38:53It was good.
38:54It was necessary.
38:55How are you feeling?
38:56It was a long time.
38:57I'm waiting for a lamb.
38:58Relieved.
38:59Very relieved.
39:01I hate that she had to relive it, but she was so strong.
39:05Yeah.
39:06And I think she needed to feel those emotions, too.
39:09It's very freeing to be able to say, this is what happened to me, and this is what I lived through.
39:14And then the fact that you said that you forgave them was very strong.
39:21But it's also my truth.
39:22Like, I can't live my whole life holding a grudge.
39:26Like, truly, they changed my life for the better.
39:31I wanted to say that, and I thought my attorneys were going to count.
39:34Yeah.
39:35Like, they'd lose it if I said that.
39:36Yeah.
39:37To say thank you for doing this to me.
39:39Do you mean just in the way of not being materialistic, or in the way that...
39:41Yeah, just on what I value in life, the things that matter to me, what's important to me.
39:47You know?
39:48Yeah.
39:49It's fun.
39:50I'll wear this all day long, you know?
39:51But, like, do I really care?
39:53Yeah.
39:54Just kidding.
39:55No.
39:56You know what I mean?
39:57Like, it doesn't move me.
39:58I'm looking at this more as an experience that was a really big growth experience for me in my life, and it changed me and made me a better person.
40:10So I don't really look at it as negatively as maybe some people would take it.
40:17I think, well, I know, Kim's focus of material things prior to the robbery were on an all-time high.
40:27And that situation, I think, definitely shook her up where she had to realize what her priorities are.
40:34And sure, if you get stripped of everything, does that mean they take everything from you? And absolutely not.
40:40She still has everything that matters.
40:44And I think it just really made her lean into who she is and lean on family.
40:50And I love the version that she is now.
40:53Because you were, like, ten feet from the defendants.
40:56Mm-hmm.
40:57Was there any feeling that came up in you when you saw them?
41:00Um, like, I'm gonna cut you?
41:03Yeah, pretty much.
41:05No.
41:06Simone, come in.
41:07I was just recapping.
41:08Hi.
41:09Tell me everything.
41:10Um, how was it?
41:11I can't believe you were talking for five and a half hours.
41:13Uh-huh.
41:14Oh, my God.
41:15I did.
41:16I got emotional.
41:17I read that you were...
41:18Oh, really?
41:19Yeah.
41:20I was reading the, like, live updates.
41:21Were you surprised?
41:22Well, they read me...
41:23The guy said an apology also, which is the guy that tied me up.
41:26Yeah.
41:27So he wrote me a letter in 2017, and I didn't read it.
41:31Really?
41:32And so he read it out loud, the judge.
41:34And, um, and then I was, like, hysterically crying to where they had to, like, get me tissue.
41:39I was like...
41:40Really?
41:41Yeah.
41:42And, like, tears were coming down.
41:43Tears were just, like, rolling down my face.
41:45And I was like, f***.
41:47And you have that letter.
41:48I do.
41:49You want me to read it to you guys?
41:52After seeing you in a French TV show, after seeing the emotion and the psychological damage I inflicted on you, I have decided to write.
42:03Not to get any kind of leniency from you or the court.
42:07I admit what I have done.
42:09I come to you as a human being and want to tell you how much I regret what I did.
42:15It destroyed me to see you in tears.
42:18I am very sorry for the suffering I made you endure.
42:22You, your family, and your children.
42:25Of course, the past cannot be undone.
42:29But I hope this letter can help you forget bit by bit the trauma that I made you suffer.
42:35With my most sincere apologies.
42:38I think that's very sweet.
42:42And I do think it is the right thing to do.
42:45I'm very, like, a person that lives by what is the right thing to do.
42:50I think that's very, like, noble of him to have done that.
42:56You know?
42:57But the podium's here, so, like, if you're the guy, I literally turned to him and I said, I forgive you.
43:05Like, thank you for your letter.
43:08During the robbery, he kept getting close to me and, like, saying to me, like, just shh, and you okay?
43:15Like, that was in English.
43:17He would just go, shh, you okay, shh.
43:19In that moment, I was like, okay, he doesn't want to hurt me.
43:24At least this guy doesn't want to.
43:26You know?
43:27It was like the glimmer that made me feel like it might be okay.
43:32So I definitely have way more sympathy to him that I absolutely forgive him.
43:39You know?
43:40The one guy that wrote the book, he was like, do you have anything to say to him?
43:44And I was like, yeah, I think it's kind of, like, tasteless.
43:47First, you come in here and take all my stuff and then you want to profit even more.
43:52And then he made a statement and I didn't turn around.
43:55Then at the end, I was like, you know what?
43:58I appreciate all of their statements and I forgive all of them.
44:01Kim talks a lot about second chances through her advocacy work.
44:07But it's easier to do that when you're not the victim.
44:10You know, it shows that she's actually walking the walk.
44:16Yeah, I mean, I think with all the prison reform work that I do, it has, like, opened up a different level of empathy that I have in my soul.
44:25But I also think that there is accountability and there is growth and there is rehabilitation to be able to be better in our society when they get out.
44:33We always on our chats are like, how do you do this with grace?
44:39You know?
44:40How?
44:41I mean, she's a big person.
44:43Like, we can all forgive anyone that has, like, wronged us or done something.
44:48It doesn't mean I want them in my circle and I want them around.
44:51But I forgive you and, like, I hope you have the best life.
44:54But I'm always a forgiver.
44:55I think that's always who I've been.
44:57And it was hard to listen to.
44:59It felt good to, like, get it out.
45:02Be emotional.
45:03Yeah.
45:04I am so happy this trial is over.
45:07You know?
45:08We'll wait and hear the verdict and then we can move on.
45:10But I have school to do.
45:13I have some things to do.
45:15That's, like, my personality is, like, I checked that box off.
45:19That's done.
45:20And let's move on.
45:22We did it.
45:23You should be very proud of yourself, Kim.
45:26Yeah.
45:27You did a great job.
45:28And it's over.
45:30It's over.
45:31And...
45:32It's over.
45:33I'm gonna go take a bath.
45:34Okay.
45:35Au revoir.
45:36Au revoir.
45:37We have a puff.
45:38We have powder.
45:39We have it all.
45:40Cool.
45:41It's our final day in Paris.
45:42And we're just gonna go shopping and walking around.
45:59And it's been a minute since I've been here.
46:01I feel like I've always just been really in and out.
46:04I'm excited for it.
46:05I'm very busy.
46:06I'm very busy.
46:07I'm very busy.
46:08Not you, babe.
46:09I'm exhausted.
46:10I'm exhausted, babe.
46:12My feelings about the city are super special.
46:17I'm such a sentimental person.
46:18I don't think that experience is gonna ruin a whole lifetime of me being in love with Paris
46:26and wanting to have new experiences there and new memories.
46:32Believe it.
46:33Or slap happy.
46:34Yeah.
46:35Why do they call it slap happy?
46:37Somebody's so happy you just beat the shit out of them.
46:41Oh my God.
46:42It just feels so good to see my daughter having some fun with a smile on her face.
46:48It just feels so much lighter now.
46:50Are you wearing a baseball cap?
46:52Yeah.
46:53Are you wearing a suit?
46:55Wait, you're wearing a baseball cap with a fur thing?
46:59Yeah.
47:00I'm into it.
47:01Are you wearing a suit with loafers?
47:02I'm into it.
47:03And a wig.
47:04I'm just kidding.
47:05I'm your bitch.
47:07Do you have your extensions on?
47:09Oh, girls.
47:10Come on.
47:11Do you have fake lashes on?
47:12I'm just kidding.
47:13Are those her teeth?
47:16Actually, yes.
47:17But yours.
47:18Mine are real.
47:19Never had a veneer, baby.
47:20Turn around.
47:21Let's get started.
47:22Fizzed over.
47:23Oh, my God.
47:24Don't make me cry in my makeup.
47:25Oh, I love myself.
47:26We know the noses are real.
47:27Yep.
47:28The noses are real.
47:29The noses are probably the only thing on my face that's real.
47:44Do we have any real gum?
47:46I just...
47:47That's fake, too.
47:48No!
47:59No!
48:16Hi, guys.
48:17Hi.
48:18Hi.
48:19Hi.
48:20We're just looking at the verdict.
48:22Oh.
48:23Are you in the chat?
48:24Is it out?
48:25Yeah.
48:26It's been two weeks since the trial, and the verdict is in.
48:31Okay.
48:32It's coming through in our text thread.
48:35Oh, my gosh.
48:41It said the first guy is found guilty.
48:44Oh, my God.
48:46Oh, my God.
48:47Which one?
48:48Oh, another one guilty.
48:50The two guys in the room.
48:52Guilty and guilty.
48:54Wow.
48:55I wonder.
48:56The only one...
48:57I think they'll all be found guilty.
48:58The only one is just the driver.
49:02Gary?
49:03Yeah.
49:04Wow.
49:05What a ring.
49:06The third guy guilty.
49:07Oh, my God.
49:08Stop.
49:09Oh, the fourth one guilty.
49:11Oh, my goodness.
49:13I'm glad you went and told your story, Kim, because I think it really made a difference for
49:18people to hear about how terrifying it all was.
49:22I'm so happy.
49:23Wait, this guy, Harmony, not guilty as main author, but guilty as an accomplice.
49:30He was the driver.
49:32Who wrote the book called How I Kidnapped Kim Kardashian?
49:36I think it was a boss.
49:39Let me Google.
49:40Book written.
49:41What does that mean, a boss?
49:43His last name.
49:45Oh.
49:46Oh, I thought you meant boss.
49:47Yeah, so did I.
49:49No.
49:50I think it's just like relief, you know?
49:53I feel like crying, but I don't know why I feel like crying.
49:57Hearing the verdict guilty is so satisfying.
50:01It's been a long time coming, and this really dark chapter is behind us.
50:08And that's exactly what we've been hoping for all of these years.
50:12They just text the girl.
50:14Oh.
50:15She's guilty.
50:16Oh, wow.
50:17Guilty of conspiracy.
50:18Oh, Gary, not guilty.
50:21Good for him.
50:22First standing.
50:23Oh, my God.
50:24First standing his ground.
50:26He was friends with some of the robbers, and he told them that his brother was driving me.
50:31He wasn't the driver.
50:32And he's saying, I didn't know that they were going to go robber.
50:35I just was friends with them, and I randomly was in a bar and told them.
50:41Wow.
50:42And the woman was involved in selling the diamonds, right?
50:45Yes.
50:46Yes.
50:47She sold them, I think.
50:48Oh, wait.
50:49This other one, not guilty, acquittal for robbery, guilty for weapon detention.
50:55Eight out of the 10 that were charged were convicted and found guilty.
51:00So that made me feel like accountability has been taken.
51:07I couldn't be happier.
51:09I'm so relieved.
51:11I'm just glad that you have closure, and I'm really proud of you because I know how hard that was.
51:18So you're the strongest woman I know, and you too, Simone.
51:21I know how scary that was for you, but the fact that you did that for Kim.
51:26Yeah, that was...
51:27I know you were really scared to do that.
51:29It's really great, and I love you for that.
51:32You're a great friend.
51:35Most people don't have friends like that, you know?
51:38Well, we're all lucky.
51:40Yeah.
51:41Yeah.
51:42We are.
51:43We're blessed.
51:44You guys are alive, and that's what I thank God for every day.
51:47Well, congratulations, Kim.
51:49I love you.
51:50Thank God.
51:51Bye.
51:52Bye, guys.
51:53Congrats, Simone.
51:54Love you guys.
51:55Bye.
51:56Bye.
51:57Bye.
51:58Bye.
51:59Bye.
52:00Bye.
52:01I wouldn't have changed a thing.
52:04Handling it the way that I handled it saved my life, got me here, changed my life, changed
52:09who I am.
52:10No matter how hard or crazy it was, I am grateful for the lessons.
52:20It does feel good just to be acknowledged that this, you know, happened, and everyone
52:29will take accountability.
52:31I think that just feels good to have this behind me.
52:36I really hope that Kim gets the closure that she deserves.
52:39It's been long enough, and I really hope that those limp
52:45drop the soap in jail.
52:47Okay.
52:48I have to study for the bar now.
52:51I have to write an essay.
52:53And I'm on a time crunch, so.
52:55Okay.
52:56Let's go to see you guys.
53:06Next on The Kardashians.
53:08Hi.
53:09Hi, guys.
53:10Hi.
53:11Welcome to Germany, Chloe.
53:12Thank you for having me.
53:14I don't do public speaking, but it's fine.
53:16It's going to be great.
53:17This is so.
53:18We are celebrating 10 years of Kylie Cosmetics.
53:23Happy Travis Parker Day.
53:24Travis was born and raised in Fontana.
53:25They are honoring him and giving him the key to the city.
53:39I did it!
53:40You didn't know she was going to be late.
53:41But I did.
53:42Courtney.
53:43But I did know, Chloe.
53:44I feel like I'm constantly walking on eggshells.
53:45And I cannot even have a conversation with her.
53:46I think I'm going to go.
53:47I'm really proud that I put so much into this.
53:48I know that Courtney for sure won't understand it.
53:49Courtney is questioning the why.
53:50Bye, guys.
53:51God bless.
53:52God bless.
53:53God bless.
53:54God bless.
53:55God bless.
