00:00Today, I'm going to talk to you about how I got started.
00:04Hey, Andrea!
00:06Andrea was a beautiful young lady.
00:10Love you.
00:12Yay!
00:12Yeah, Andrea!
00:13He's somebody that loves life.
00:15Yay!
00:17Things started to bloom for both of them.
00:21Andrea was the captain in the Air Force.
00:25So she wants to get that American dream as well.
00:28They are both alpha types, and they're hitting head to head.
00:36I start to see a little rage in him.
00:39Andrea is not backing down.
00:42Our family is holding on to hope that a missing Texas mom will be found.
00:48Andrea, I will kill me all the time.
00:51Yo, Andrea, I will kill me all the time.
00:53It was like sitting and looking at evil.
00:58They were really..."
01:16Andreen was so energetic.
01:27She's like a leader.
01:30She has a contagious spirit.
01:33She's courageous, and that's what I admire about her.
01:38Andreen is very intelligent, and also he's a loving, charismatic person.
01:44So anyone would fall in love with him.
01:49Anything they do, it's love.
01:51They're on top of the world.
01:55Would she and the husband know?
01:57I would call them a power couple.
02:04Andreen MacDonald is born September 23, 1989, in Port Antonio, Jamaica.
02:10She was a beautiful little girl growing up.
02:20Andreen came 17 years after Cindy.
02:26At first, I was a little bit jealous, but we love each other dearly.
02:31She always tells me, I'm not a follower, I'm a leader.
02:38Everything she does is fast.
02:40She's an A-plus student.
02:42She's an alpha personality.
02:45Andreen always getting high marks in school.
02:51I realized that Andreen is really bright.
02:53I was proud because, you see, my country, it's a laid-back place.
03:00So you have to really have ambition to really put your foot forward.
03:06She's a go-getter.
03:08That's what they call him in Jamaica.
03:09She's a go-getter.
03:10May 2009, and Andreen meets 30-year-old Andre MacDonald at a family event in Jamaica.
03:23She called me one day and said,
03:25Mommy, I meet somebody.
03:29He was the captain in the Air Force.
03:33He was living in America.
03:36So I said, oh, okay.
03:38I said, you like him?
03:41And she said, yes, she liked him.
03:45Born February 1979, Andre graduates high school and studies electronics in Florida before joining the Air Force in 2004.
04:01Andre is at the cusp of his life.
04:05Andre knows what he wants and go at what he wants as well.
04:12I think this is what Andreen likes about him.
04:18They married just two months after meeting in July 2009.
04:23We were surprised but happy at the same time.
04:28Andreen joins Andre in Florida, where he's a software engineer for the Air Force.
04:35She do the laundry, she keeps the house, and he loves her cooking.
04:41Everybody always heard about the American dream.
04:46So she wants to get that American dream as well.
04:50She was happy and they were, I would say, on top of the world.
04:54When Andre transfers to Lackland Air Base in 2010, the couple moved to San Antonio, Texas.
05:10Andreen got a job for a water filtration company, and she also goes to University of Texas, San Antonio.
05:17And she was studying finance.
05:23Then, the newlyweds welcome a baby daughter into the family.
05:29We were all excited.
05:32She was a very good mom.
05:36Andreen had loved her baby so much.
05:40Things was, you know, started to bloom for both of them.
05:44With Andre juggling the baby and her studies, Maureen joins them in San Antonio.
05:53I would like to take care of the owls and take care of their meals.
06:02And in 2011, Andre graduates magna cum laude with a bachelor's degree.
06:09Andre loved working, and she just had that drive.
06:13She did not want to sit down and depend on her husband.
06:18She wanted to do something for herself.
06:21And she said to me, she said, Mommy, I'm going to start a business.
06:28Andre launches her own assisted living company.
06:33The name of the business was Starlight Homes.
06:36She turned the home into a business.
06:39Stop working for people, nine to five, and be our own boss.
06:48Andre was not on board at first.
06:52So she did it on her own.
06:56Just go ahead.
06:57Whether you want to agree yes or no, she's going to just go and do it.
07:00She didn't have a problem to get people in our homes.
07:07The business is growing.
07:09Income is coming.
07:11It looks prosperous, you know.
07:16With Andre and Andre's relationship, they seem great on the outside.
07:22But in the inside, tensions start to grow.
07:32At one point, Andre had bought a laptop.
07:38She gave him the one that they were using before,
07:41and she take the new one, and he was upset.
07:45And he smashed the laptop, rake it up, and threw it in the garbage.
07:59I was frightened.
08:00I was so shocked, because I didn't expect him to behave like that.
08:05That's where I start to see a little rage in him.
08:09I would say Jamaican men don't like women with so much power.
08:18It's like it makes them feel less of a man.
08:23Well, I think that's what happened to Andre.
08:27And I said to her, I said,
08:28If you're not happy or you're not comfortable, you need to leave.
08:33And she said, Mommy, I'm okay. I can manage.
08:37She's not giving up.
08:39She's so determined.
08:42It's only death could stop that girl.
09:01It's 2013, and Andre's business, Starlight Homes, is growing,
09:07creating tension at home.
09:09I found out about the cracks in the marriage from my mother,
09:14because she lives in the home.
09:18And she will tell me that, you know, they have a fight.
09:24You get mad, you know, and want to fight.
09:29And Trini's not backing down.
09:31Well, when those things started to surface about his personality and his character,
09:40I am saying that those are red flags.
09:43At one point, she was thinking of leaving him.
09:47This moment, they are okay.
09:49Next moment, they are not okay.
09:53Her business was moving.
09:56She was doing well.
09:57In 2016, Andre's promoted to major and sent away for six months training in Biloxi, Mississippi.
10:06In his absence, Andre, I think she gets to reflect and absorb the type of person he is and try to get a better understanding of what the relationship is about and where it is going.
10:23When Andre comes back, the vibes was bittersweet.
10:32They were celebrating the promotion that he got, and also she discussed with him that she wants her mother to have one of the homes.
10:45So, when she came up with certain ideas that he doesn't agree on, they fussed about it.
10:57The fists knocking together all the time, and the new business that they built, it contributed to the fights.
11:05So, as power increased, fight increased.
11:15Reconciling for their daughter, the couple move into a new luxury home, just in time to celebrate Christmas 2017.
11:26It's not yours.
11:28Yeah, guys.
11:30Born to sleep.
11:33Solitude Cove was Andrea's dream house.
11:38That's what she called it.
11:41They were republished.
11:43That's my right.
11:45Two black people that aspire for their dreams, and they achieve it.
12:00They're a power couple.
12:07The home is welcoming, inviting, and they're having parties.
12:15Makeup?
12:16Mm-hmm.
12:16Okay, do mommy's makeup.
12:18Makeup time!
12:19Do mommy's cheeks.
12:20She was so happy, because it's like a dream come true.
12:24Yeah, what's wrong with?
12:27Oh, pretty. Thank you.
12:29But there are times when you could tell that something is off as well.
12:34Can mommy get a kiss?
12:35Love you.
12:38Love you.
12:43I'm killing him.
12:44I'm killing me all the time.
12:46Yo, I'm killing me all the time.
12:49I run less.
12:49After a fun run, Andre and Andrine reveal who won on social media.
12:58Well, it's finally over, and as predicted...
13:02I did come in before he did.
13:04Right.
13:05Andrine did defeat me, and she is so excited.
13:09He will laugh and behave like it doesn't bother him, but it does bother him.
13:14Andrine is like running too close to him in everything, and she's not backing down.
13:25Andrine did defeat me, and she is so excited.
13:29He's thinking now that Andrine is getting more powerful than him.
13:33My perception on Andrine and Andre is that they are both alpha types, and they're hitting head-to-head.
13:44Andrine, I will kill me all the time.
13:46Yo!
13:49They're like in a boxing ring fighting.
13:54She always says she's not leaving.
13:57He is the one that is going to leave.
13:59He's not going, and she's not going.
14:05You know, so it's like two determined human beings competing.
14:11Help me welcome and treat my daughter.
14:16As Andrine's star continues to rise, she gives a motivational address at her old college.
14:24She is still down to earth.
14:26She is still the same person that came from Jamaica.
14:31This thing might get knocked down, but it's about getting back up and fighting and working hard so that you can accomplish your goals.
14:42Sometimes I see her face upset, and she will say,
14:44Mom, I can't stand him.
14:46I know if you're not happy, leave.
14:49But Andrine is sort of stubborn, and she just thinks she can handle things.
14:55Come on, Jeanne!
14:59Yes, ma'am!
15:04If she's exercising, she's doing it perfect.
15:08If she's being a mother, she has to be perfect.
15:11If she's being a business entrepreneur, she has to be perfect.
15:14Everything that Andrine having said of her, she just want to do everything perfect.
15:21Yay!
15:22Yeah, Andrine!
15:23Good job, Dreen.
15:24Proud of you.
15:26And that's the type of person Andrine is.
15:29Shh.
15:30Andrei don't like it.
15:31I am getting the feeling with all of this that she wants to create an exit, but don't know how to.
15:41My understanding of Andrei and Andrine's fussing is cursing and fighting, and throwing words at each other.
15:58The fights got intense.
16:04Andrei did get physical.
16:10They were driving from a friend's home.
16:15They were fighting, and he put his hand at her throat like he was choking her and all that.
16:35He had a swelling under her eye.
16:39I knew he had the anger, but all along, Andrine think she can manage.
16:50I think at times she is afraid.
16:54Although she seemed to have that boldness and strong personality and stuff, there's something inside that is afraid.
17:03She wants, it's like she's screaming inside, but don't know how to let the scream out.
17:25It's Andrine's 29th birthday, and Andrei films her and their daughter out celebrating.
17:31It's a video.
17:33Cindy had noticed the difference in him.
17:39You know, there was something strange about him.
17:43He's somebody that have a dark side to his personality.
17:50One of the time, she said, Mommy, I'm not going to leave.
17:54He would have to leave.
17:57She's saying on one side she's not leaving, and he's saying on the other side that he's not leaving.
18:03I think if she could have left, she would have left.
18:10She's talking out now.
18:14She says to her friends that if anything happens to her, Andrei killed her.
18:21Why would she say that?
18:25It feels very dark.
18:27Society says, look out for yourself.
18:32But God says, look out for others, and I will look out for you.
18:36Andrei uses her profile to do good work in the community.
18:40She used to go downtown San Antonio, feed the homeless.
18:46We will be providing meals for over 200 people.
18:51And I encourage other individuals who are out there that can make a difference to go out and help those in need.
18:59That was a big program.
19:01You know, that was one of our goals.
19:04So this morning, I'm here with Emmanuel Pentecostal Church.
19:08And we're on the side of the street this morning, and we're giving out food for those less fortunate and who don't have food to eat this morning.
19:15Andrei dealt with Andrei's outburst.
19:24She overworked herself to keep her mind occupied.
19:31All the food is gone, so we're very thankful for everyone that came out and helped and everybody that donated.
19:38Hi, my name is Andrei.
19:40I'm the first guy I hold with little lady.
19:45She come here and she made her name in San Antonio as one of the youngest business person in San Antonio.
19:57Oh, my God.
19:57She was so happy that day.
20:00It's like she was on top of the world.
20:02And we're all happy.
20:08She was too powerful.
20:11She had too much power.
20:15And I think he didn't like that.
20:18He think he owned her.
20:21I think when he think back, I am the one that brought her here.
20:28He couldn't stand the success.
20:31It was too much for him.
20:32It's February 2019, and Andrei and Andrine host a party at home.
20:44Andrine said to me,
20:46Mommy, I'm going to do a birthday party for Andrei.
20:51Because he was party at the time.
20:53And then they did black and gold party.
21:00And it was so good.
21:05She just loved to do things, you know.
21:10And she was saying to herself that that's a good thing to do.
21:14It's a dream!
21:16That was a party that everybody talks about.
21:24It was such a grand time.
21:26And then after that happy time,
21:29then disaster.
21:31Thirteen days after the party,
21:38Andrine does not turn up at work.
21:42About seven o'clock Friday morning,
21:45I got a call.
21:48One of the workers said to me,
21:51she's trying to get in touch with Andrine,
21:53and she did not get a hold of her.
21:57Then we start to get worried.
21:59Bear County sheriffs receive a call
22:06from concerned friends and family.
22:09We got a call for a welfare check.
22:12Some family members felt something was odd
22:15about not having been able to reach
22:18Andrei McDonald at that time.
22:21We initially responded.
22:24We made entry to the residence
22:26with the assistance of the family members.
22:29In the bedroom,
22:32there was what appeared to be a blood smear
22:34of some sort on the wall.
22:37Additionally,
22:38in the backyard of the residence,
22:40there seemed to be evidence
22:42that somebody had been burning something.
22:44Certainly somebody that's looking
22:46to get rid of clothing.
22:47You know,
22:48you donate them to charity,
22:50you give them to a friend,
22:52you sell them in an estate sale
22:54or a garage sale.
22:56So that's certainly not something
22:57you would expect to find
22:58in the backyard
22:59of an affluent neighborhood like this,
23:01is a burn pile of some sort.
23:04The fact that you're burning them
23:06in the backyard,
23:07that's another factor
23:08that maybe by itself
23:09doesn't seem as suspicious,
23:11but you start adding it
23:13to all of the other things
23:14that are happening.
23:16We've got a very young,
23:18beautiful,
23:20very successful businesswoman
23:21that's missing.
23:23We know that friends feel
23:26like something is amiss.
23:28Andrei had said,
23:30if you're not able to find me,
23:31assume that something happened to me
23:33and Andrei had something
23:34to do with it.
23:36And so really,
23:37very early on in the investigation,
23:39we knew something was amiss.
23:42At this point,
23:43what we know is Andrina's missing.
23:46We're certainly not ruling out
23:48that she may have disappeared
23:49of her own free will.
23:50Maybe she was unhappy
23:51with her marriage.
23:52She decided to run away.
23:55Well, we're starting to look
23:56at evidence.
24:00Soon thereafter,
24:01Andrei actually came to the scene.
24:04His story was that
24:06he had received a call
24:07that Andrine was injured.
24:10He said he went to the hospital.
24:11There was somebody there
24:13named McDonald.
24:14And he came back to us,
24:16told us, she's fine.
24:17She's at the hospital.
24:19He was just assuming
24:20we were going to take his word for it
24:21and say, oh, well, case closed.
24:24We found very quickly
24:25that that story was not adding up.
24:30And then, in fact,
24:31we did have a missing person
24:32on our hands.
24:33Part of the county,
24:37actually in the city of San Antonio,
24:40certainly something that raises
24:43even more red flags for us.
24:45Why is it a priority for him
24:48to be arming himself at this point?
24:51It could be that he's trying
24:52to plan an escape from town.
24:54Maybe he's going to end it all
24:56by killing himself.
25:00We made the decision at that point
25:02to take him down there
25:04outside the store.
25:05We knew we had to get him taken down
25:07to the ground quickly.
25:12And get him immobilized
25:14to keep him from using any weapons
25:15he may have purchased
25:16inside the store.
25:20Believing Andre is buying the gun
25:22to commit suicide,
25:24deputies detain him.
25:25Being that he was an active duty
25:28Air Force officer,
25:29they were able to help us out
25:31with detaining him on base
25:32while we continue to conduct
25:33our investigation.
25:35Air Force Command
25:36placed Andre under observation
25:38at San Antonio Military Medical Center
25:41for 72 hours.
25:43At Solitude Cove,
25:47deputies execute
25:49a second search warrant.
25:52We found some things
25:53that had not been present
25:54the night before.
25:56Some gas cans
25:57that ended up having gasoline
25:59in them.
26:01Shovel.
26:03Large trash bags.
26:06And then we find
26:07a hammer with blood on it.
26:10These are all things
26:11that could be used
26:13to conceal a body,
26:14destroy evidence,
26:15destroy a body,
26:16whatever it may be.
26:18And in the trash can
26:19in the kitchen,
26:21we find the really key
26:23piece of evidence,
26:26receipts showing the purchase
26:27of some of these
26:28household items together.
26:31And then somebody went
26:32through the process
26:33of destroying these receipts,
26:35shredding it up
26:36into little pieces,
26:37throwing it into the trash can.
26:41deputies build a timeline
26:43of Andre's movements.
26:45The receipts were from
26:47a Lowe's home improvement store
26:50several miles away.
26:56And we're able to see
26:57the fact that Andre was the one
26:59that purchased these items.
27:00We were also able
27:05to determine
27:05that he went to a bank
27:07and withdrew cash.
27:10I believe that he was
27:11trying to cover up
27:11a digital trail
27:12by purchasing
27:12those items of cash.
27:15We've got a lot of
27:17small bits of evidence,
27:18circumstantial evidence,
27:19if you will,
27:20the burned remnants
27:21of clothing,
27:23the blood stain
27:24in the bedroom.
27:26At this point,
27:26we think that he's already
27:28done quite a bit of work
27:30to conceal her
27:31from discovery.
27:32We couldn't prove up
27:33a murder,
27:34but we certainly had
27:34enough circumstantial evidence
27:36to charge him
27:38with tampering
27:38with physical evidence.
27:41And that's what
27:42he was arrested for.
27:46Deputies take custody
27:47of Andre
27:48and transport him
27:49to Bexar County Jail.
27:51We continued to comb
27:53the countryside literally
27:55for any other evidence
27:56that we could find.
27:58We're still desperately
28:00trying to find Andrean.
28:05Andrean lived
28:06in a high-security community
28:09with a security gate
28:10at the front.
28:12So when somebody like that
28:13comes up missing,
28:14the community at large
28:15start to wonder,
28:16was she taken?
28:18Did somebody kidnap her?
28:20Do I and my family
28:21have something
28:21to worry about?
28:23All family is holding
28:25on to hope
28:26that a missing Texas mom
28:27will be found.
28:29There was fear
28:30in all of us
28:31that she's dead.
28:36But we all
28:37were still having hope.
28:40This weekend,
28:41investigators are searching
28:42a 28,000-acre
28:44military training site.
28:46We have a huge county.
28:48It's about 1,200 square miles.
28:50We have got all kinds
28:52of different terrain
28:53in our county.
28:53And we've got creeks.
28:55And up north,
28:55we've actually got
28:56the beginnings
28:57of what we call
28:57the Texas Hill Country.
28:59I have never been part
29:01of a search
29:03that was quite as big
29:04as the one for Andrean.
29:08Hundreds of civilian
29:09volunteers came out
29:10on foot,
29:11on horseback,
29:13in little ATVs,
29:15with drones.
29:16Something is definitely
29:24wrong, though.
29:26Because it's the reality
29:27not facing me,
29:28you know.
29:29Because Andrean
29:30not gonna
29:32justice.
29:39Andre McDonald,
29:40you see him there,
29:41charged with tampering
29:42with evidence
29:42in this case.
29:45Several weeks later,
29:46we were able
29:46to confirm
29:47what we already suspected,
29:48that the blood
29:49found on the hammer,
29:50the blood found
29:50at the residence
29:51was Andrean's blood.
29:53We had a whole bunch
29:55of circumstantial evidence,
29:56a lot of little pieces
29:57of evidence.
29:57What we were lacking
29:58was a body.
29:59The husband
30:00of Andrean McDonald
30:01could be closer
30:02to leaving jail,
30:03even though no one
30:04knows exactly
30:04what happened
30:05to his wife.
30:07After a month
30:08in jail,
30:09Andre is released
30:10on bail.
30:11I did not like
30:12the fact that
30:13somebody that
30:13we strongly believe
30:15murdered his wife
30:17and disposed
30:18of the body
30:19is now not
30:20behind bars.
30:21Whatever was done
30:22to it,
30:23we felt pretty strongly
30:24that it's going
30:25to be very difficult
30:26to find her body.
30:31Both search crews
30:32are reportedly
30:33zeroing in
30:34on an area
30:35in their search
30:36for a missing
30:36Texas mom.
30:38It was just
30:39a freak
30:40circumstance
30:41that everything
30:42came together
30:43and it came about
30:44in the weirdest
30:44way possible.
30:47Months prior,
30:48a cow had died
30:49of natural causes
30:50in the middle
30:51of a field.
30:53We had a rancher
30:54that was working
30:54on a property.
30:57As he went
30:58to the remains
30:58of the cow,
31:00he found
31:02what appeared
31:02to be human remains
31:03intermingled
31:04and under
31:05the cow remains.
31:06the body
31:08of a woman
31:08found partially
31:09burned
31:10and we all
31:13thought,
31:14okay,
31:14this is it,
31:14we found her.
31:23Bexar County
31:23deputies respond
31:24to a report
31:25of human remains.
31:27The bones
31:28themselves
31:28are about
31:2820 feet behind me.
31:30We want to
31:30photo document
31:31everything in place
31:32before we start
31:33the collection process.
31:34relying upon
31:36dental records
31:37or medical examiner
31:39so it was able
31:39to positively
31:41identify these remains
31:42as belonging
31:42to Andrean McDonald.
31:45I went out there
31:46and I'm like
31:49tape off the road,
31:51you know.
31:56The way my heart
31:58was so cold
31:58I couldn't even cry.
32:00There was no
32:00eyewater.
32:04the burned clothing
32:10and the blood
32:11on the wall
32:12the gasoline
32:13the torn up receipts
32:15the video evidence
32:16crushing injuries
32:18to her bones
32:19broken back
32:20broken ribs
32:21and you put
32:23all these things
32:23together
32:24and you've got
32:25a pretty strong
32:25case of murder
32:26and ultimately
32:29that's what he
32:29was arrested for.
32:30When I first
32:34obtained the case
32:36we were not
32:38100% sure
32:39what the motive
32:40for this murder
32:40was.
32:42And the following
32:42is the police's
32:44theory.
32:44Law enforcement
32:45never found
32:46Andrean's phone
32:47but we did have
32:48Andre's phone.
32:49What we learned
32:50was that
32:51they're together
32:53at the tax office
32:54but they
32:56get into
32:57an argument
32:58Andre
33:00had learned
33:01at the tax office
33:02that Andrean
33:03had opened up
33:04another LLC
33:05and he's upset
33:07that she opened it
33:08without his knowledge.
33:11Andre goes
33:12to the gas station
33:13he's sitting
33:15in there
33:16having this
33:16argument
33:17with Andrean
33:18via text.
33:19When I saw
33:23that there
33:23was an argument
33:24about money
33:25potentially hours
33:27before her
33:27disappearance
33:28to me
33:33there it is.
33:35It is my belief
33:37that he made
33:38a decision
33:39right there.
33:41I'm going to
33:42end her alive.
33:42I believe
33:47it wasn't
33:48long after
33:48he sends
33:49a text
33:50it's
33:52three letters
33:53K-M-T
33:54it's an acronym
33:56for kiss my teeth
33:58which
33:59we would probably
34:00relate that
34:00to something
34:01like kiss my ass
34:03and at midnight
34:05her phone
34:06completely
34:07loses signal.
34:09It's my assertion
34:10that he's already
34:11killed her.
34:12Andre's trial
34:18is set
34:19for January
34:202023.
34:23Knowing
34:23what took
34:24place
34:24in that bedroom
34:25back February
34:2628th
34:27to March 1st
34:282019
34:29was going
34:29to be
34:30a difficult
34:31aspect.
34:32The medical
34:33examiner
34:34determined
34:34that it was
34:34homicidal violence
34:35was the cause
34:36of death.
34:38I felt
34:39that if the
34:39two of them
34:40were going
34:40to get
34:41into a fight
34:41both of them
34:43would have
34:43injuries.
34:45The sheriff's
34:46office came
34:46and examined
34:47him on
34:48March 1st
34:492019.
34:50Andre did
34:51not have
34:51injuries to
34:52him.
34:54That certainly
34:55indicated to me
34:56that he perhaps
34:57caught her
34:57unawares
34:58or hit her
34:59from behind.
35:01From the
35:02spinal injuries
35:03and from
35:04where they
35:04were
35:04it was
35:05consistent
35:05getting
35:05struck
35:06in the
35:06back
35:06near
35:08the
35:09base
35:09of
35:09the
35:09neck.
35:11I think
35:12that she
35:12was ready
35:13to leave
35:13and I believe
35:16that that's why
35:16he killed her
35:17that night
35:17is because
35:18he didn't
35:18want her
35:18to go.
35:20Based
35:20on the
35:21evidence
35:21prosecutors
35:22make the
35:22case for
35:23premeditated
35:24murder.
35:24However,
35:25Andre
35:25claims
35:26self-defense.
35:27I've
35:34cross-examined
35:35many people.
35:37His lack
35:38of remorse
35:38was shocking
35:41to me.
35:41It was
35:42almost
35:43unhuman.
35:44When she
35:44comes,
35:45she's like
35:45throwing
35:45some punches
35:46so I remember
35:47dragging her
35:47and I
35:48shook her
35:48and opened
35:49one of my
35:49legs.
35:51She fell
35:52on the
35:52floor.
35:53He said
35:54that he
35:54stumped her.
35:56He's
35:56confirming
35:57he is
35:57the one
35:57responsible
35:58for her
35:58death.
36:01He did
36:02everything
36:02in his
36:03power to
36:03try to
36:04cover up
36:04this crime
36:05and now
36:06it's
36:06self-defense.
36:07As soon as
36:07she was
36:08like a
36:08reaction,
36:09you know,
36:10so I
36:10landed
36:10like a
36:11couple of
36:11kicks
36:12and then
36:12I put
36:12my hair
36:13next to
36:14her nose
36:15to see
36:16if she
36:16was breathing
36:16and she
36:17was not.
36:19We have
36:20the words
36:21from his
36:21mouth that
36:22he killed
36:23Andre
36:23and so
36:25then the
36:26question
36:26becomes
36:27was he
36:27justified
36:28in doing
36:29that?
36:30I grabbed
36:31like
36:31open the
36:32trash bags
36:33and then
36:34I put
36:35one over
36:35the top
36:36of her
36:36and then
36:36the other
36:37one on
36:38the...
36:38Andre tells
36:40the jury
36:40he acts
36:41in self-defense
36:42and returns
36:43to Andre
36:43's body
36:44after her
36:45death.
36:45So at that
36:46point I
36:47poured
36:47the gas
36:48on her
36:49and I
36:49lit the fire.
36:50I just
36:54can't believe
36:54it was
36:55my little
36:55sister.
36:57The thought
36:57just kills
36:58me inside.
37:01I asked
37:02him repeatedly
37:03why.
37:04Why did
37:05you do
37:05this?
37:06Why did
37:07you set
37:07the mother
37:08of your
37:08child's
37:09body on
37:09fire?
37:11You know
37:11she's dead
37:12on the
37:12floor
37:12of this
37:13team.
37:14I'm going
37:15to get
37:15blamed for
37:16this.
37:16He would
37:16not call
37:17her by
37:17name.
37:18He
37:18would
37:18not
37:18say
37:18Andre
37:19he
37:20would
37:20say
37:20the
37:21body.
37:22I
37:22just
37:22got
37:22a
37:22really
37:22big
37:23starved
37:23I'm trying
37:23to
37:24start
37:24with
37:24the
37:25hammer.
37:27We heard
37:28everything
37:28that he
37:30said.
37:31It was
37:32so
37:32disgusting.
37:35So
37:36disgusting.
37:39I think
37:39the real
37:40Andre
37:40McDonald
37:41started
37:41to show
37:42up as
37:42I
37:42questioned
37:43him.
37:43I
37:44used
37:44the
37:44claw
37:45and
37:45like
37:45hit
37:46her
37:46in
37:46the
37:46neck
37:46area.
37:47I
37:47just
37:47could
37:47not
37:48believe
37:48the
37:48words
37:49that
37:49were
37:49coming
37:49out
37:49of
37:50his
37:50mouth.
37:50I
37:50remember
37:51the
37:51claw
37:52got
37:52stuck
37:52in
37:53her
37:54neck.
37:55That's
37:55when I
37:55was
37:56whipping
37:56the
37:57hammer
37:57out.
37:58It
37:58was
37:58like
37:59a
37:59depravity.
38:00He
38:00wanted
38:01us
38:01to
38:01see
38:01it
38:02the
38:02way
38:02he
38:02saw
38:02it.
38:03It
38:03was
38:03like
38:04sitting
38:04and
38:04looking
38:04at
38:05evil.
38:06As
38:06I
38:06walk
38:08away
38:08I
38:08give
38:08me
38:09one
38:09more
38:09wipe
38:09somewhere
38:10on
38:10the
38:10body
38:10I
38:10not
38:11sure
38:11where
38:11that
38:11lady.
38:15So I
38:16can't
38:16look at
38:16her.
38:19I
38:20thought
38:20I
38:20could
38:21ride
38:21now.
38:23I
38:24thought
38:24I
38:25was
38:26over
38:26it.
38:26can't
38:35imagine
38:35that
38:36you
38:37would
38:37have
38:37done
38:37something
38:38so
38:38horrendous.
38:41Only
38:42a monster
38:42would
38:42do
38:42something
38:43like
38:43that.
38:45One
38:46of the
38:46things
38:46that
38:46Andre
38:47took
38:47away
38:47from
38:47us
38:48when
38:48he
38:49hid
38:49her
38:49body
38:50the
38:51way
38:51that
38:51he
38:51did
38:51is
38:51he
38:52took
38:52away
38:53the
38:53certainty
38:54about
38:54the
38:55manner
38:55in
38:55which
38:55she
38:56died.
38:56Prosecutors
38:57lack
38:57evidence
38:58to
38:58definitively
38:59disprove
38:59Andre's
39:00self-defense
39:00testimony.
39:01That
39:01ultimately
39:02proved
39:02to be
39:03the
39:03reason
39:03the
39:03jury
39:03decided
39:04on
39:04manslaughter
39:05as
39:05opposed
39:05to
39:06martyr.
39:08Andre
39:09is
39:09found
39:09guilty
39:10of
39:10manslaughter
39:10and
39:11sentenced
39:12to
39:1220
39:12years.
39:14It
39:15was a
39:15shock.
39:18This
39:18does
39:18not
39:18make
39:19any
39:19sense.
39:19Andre
39:20does
39:22not
39:23deserve
39:23this.
39:24God
39:26and
39:27Andre
39:27know
39:27exactly
39:28what
39:28he
39:28did.
39:30What
39:30he
39:30said
39:31was
39:33just
39:33a
39:33part
39:33of
39:35what
39:35he
39:36did.
39:39Andre
39:39was a
39:41beautiful
39:42young
39:44lady.
39:46She's
39:46somebody
39:46that
39:46loves
39:47life.
39:47I
39:49love
39:49her
39:50and
39:50I
39:50miss
39:50her.
39:52She's
39:53so
39:53sad.
39:53She's
39:54so
39:54heart
39:54ringing.
40:08My
40:08dad
40:09was
40:09so
40:09in
40:09love
40:09with
40:09my
40:09mom.
40:10He
40:11followed
40:11her
40:11here.
40:11My
40:15aunt
40:16said
40:16do
40:16you
40:16remember
40:16how
40:17your
40:17dad
40:17kept
40:17threatening
40:18your
40:18mom?
40:19And
40:20that
40:20was
40:20all
40:20she
40:20needed
40:20to
40:21say.
