02:04Andreen MacDonald is born September 23, 1989,
02:09in Port Antonio, Jamaica.
02:12She was a beautiful little girl growing up.
02:17Andreen came 17 years after Cindy.
02:26At first, I was a little bit jealous,
02:28but we love each other dearly.
02:33She always tells me,
02:35I'm not a follower, I'm a leader.
02:37Everything she does is fast.
02:40She's an A-plus student.
02:42She's an alpha personality.
02:45Andreen always getting high marks in school.
02:51I realized that Andreen is really bright.
02:53I was proud because, you see, my country,
02:58it's a lay-back place.
02:59So you have to really have ambition
03:02to really put your foot forward.
03:06She's a go-getter.
03:08That's what they call him in Jamaica.
03:09She's a go-getter.
03:10May 2009,
03:17and Andreen meets 30-year-old Andre MacDonald
03:19at a family event in Jamaica.
03:23She called me one day and said,
03:25Mommy, I meet somebody.
03:29He was the captain in the Air Force.
03:33He was living in America.
03:34So I said, oh, okay.
03:38I said, you like him?
03:41And she said, yes, she like him.
03:45Born February 1979,
03:48Andre graduates high school
03:49and studies electronics in Florida
03:52before joining the Air Force in 2004.
03:55Andre is at the cusp of his life.
04:07Andre knows what he wants
04:09and go at what he wants as well.
04:12I think this is what Andreen likes about him.
04:18They married just two months after meeting
04:21in July 2009.
04:22Andreen joins Andre in Florida
04:32where he's a software engineer
04:34for the Air Force.
04:36She do the laundry,
04:38she keep the house,
04:39and he loves her cooking.
04:43Everybody always heard
04:45about the American dream.
04:46So she wants to get
04:48that American dream as well.
04:50She was happy
04:51and they were,
04:52I would say,
04:53on top of the world.
04:59When Andre transfers
05:00to Lackland Air Base in 2010,
05:03the couple moved
05:04to San Antonio, Texas.
05:10Andreen got a job
05:12for a water filtration company
05:13and she also goes
05:14to University of Texas,
05:17San Antonio.
05:17and she was studying finance.
05:23Then, the newlyweds
05:25welcome a baby daughter
05:26into the family.
05:29We were all excited.
05:32She was a very good mom.
05:35Andreen had loved her baby so much.
05:39Things was, you know,
05:41started to bloom
05:42for both of them.
05:44With Andrean juggling
05:47the baby and her studies,
05:49Maureen joins them
05:50in San Antonio.
05:53I would like to take care
05:55of the owls
05:56and take care
05:57of their meals.
06:02And in 2011,
06:03Andrean graduates
06:04magna cum laude
06:05with a bachelor's degree.
06:09Andrean loved working
06:11and she just had that drive.
06:13She did not want
06:14to sit down
06:15and depend on her husband.
06:18She wanted to do
06:18something for herself.
06:21And she said to me,

06:23I'm going to start
06:25a business.
06:29Andrean launches
06:30her own assisted living company.
06:33The name of the business
06:34was Starlight Homes.
06:36She turned the home
06:38into a business.
06:39Stop working for people
06:41nine to five
06:42and be our own boss.
06:48Andrean was not on board
06:50at first.
06:52So she did it
06:54on her own.
06:56Just go ahead.

06:59she's going to just

07:02She didn't have a problem

07:25tensions start to grow.

07:42taped the new one
07:44and he was upset.
07:52And he smashed
07:53the laptop,
07:55break it up,
07:56and threw it
07:56in the garbage.
07:59I was frightened.
08:00I was so shocked
08:01because I didn't expect
08:02him to behave like that.
08:05That's where I start

08:07a little rage in him.

08:13don't like women
08:14with so much power.
