00:00Hey everybody, I'm Taylor. I'm gonna be doing some songs for you guys tonight.
00:05I hope you guys are having a great time.
00:07Very early on, she just knew she was gonna have to work hard.
00:14I mean, it depends on how far back we want to go.
00:18But it escalated from school play, theater group, karaoke nights.
00:26I'm gonna be doing some songs for you guys, and I hope you guys are having a great time because I sure am.
00:31Calling around to festivals and amusement parks to see if there was a spot for a little kid with a guitar and a couple of speakers.
00:40It was as basic as you can possibly imagine.
00:44Dragging guitars through airports, piling them into a rental car.
00:51Hit another city, another city, and just keep going.
00:56And she, from a very early age, always knew exactly how she wanted things to be.
01:04And she was always planning what her headline tour would be like.
01:09You know, I never heard her say the word fame or money.
01:15It was always just about the opportunity to go sing her songs and have everybody else singing those same words back to her.
01:26She would do these theaters, and they kept getting bigger and bigger and sold out faster and faster.
01:36So it was a gradual thing.
01:42But I don't think that when you are doing that, you ever, for a split second, take the time to think, it will become this.
01:54Thank you very much.
02:08Thank you very much.
02:39The European tour was so intense that, by the end, I was exhausted past a point that I can remember.
02:49So we need the break after Wembley to recharge not only our bodies, our energy, but our passion for giving that much every night.
03:02So that by the time we got back to the U.S., we were all just, like, fired up.
03:12Oh, my God.
03:25Since we finished the massive European leg of the Heirs tour, it's really just been trying to get back up to speed, being home.
03:35We have this two-month break.
03:40We'll kind of regroup and catch our breath a little bit.
03:43Oh, buddy.
03:44I'm taking care of my home life, and then we'll get ready for the final push.
03:49I love traveling.
03:50I love my job.
03:51It's the best.
03:52And, like, everything's planned for us.
03:54And then you get home, and you're like, what do I do?
03:56And you have to learn how to schedule things for yourself again.
04:00So why I'm really excited for this break is so that I can sit right here and practice.
04:11I do live with my parents, my little brother, and my grandma.
04:15I love coming home to them, getting, like, home-cooked meals and stuff.
04:19I am eventually going to get my own apartment in L.A.
04:23Yes, don't embarrass me.
04:25Definitely, for sure.
04:27It's a long time to be away.
04:31Rachel and I don't have children, but, I mean, I went crazy how much I missed the dog.
04:38You know, just trying to get back into being a normal human and having a schedule and adulting.
04:45Trying to get life back together.
04:47Four months is a long time to just check out and have fun, but come back to, like, oh, reality.
04:54My car registration. Yikes.
05:01Love this, love this, love this, love this, love this, love this, love this, love this, love this, love this, love this, love this, love this, love this, love this.
05:07Okay.
05:10So we'll just start in show order.
05:12Yeah, let's put on all the, you know, if you want, we can take these for a spin for the run through.
05:19Sunset.
05:22Hello, Miami.
05:23Yeah, this should be first, probably.
05:25So pretty.
05:26Nostalgia is a huge part of the Eros tour.
05:30If you were 12 years old during the Red era, you're going to remember certain things that you saw and certain things that you felt.
05:38It's my job to bring those feelings and those visuals back to you.
05:43Wardrobe is one way to do that.
05:45Oh, I love it.
05:47Oh, I'm so excited.
05:50The costume design for the Eros tour was undertaken by my longtime stylist, Joseph Cassell.
05:56He's been with me since I was 16.
05:58The Eros tour is all about the fans, you know.
06:06The reason I'm able to do my job so well is because I am a fan too.
06:15I love the organic way that Taylor and I work.
06:18It's like this secret language that we have.
06:20She would send me images.
06:22She'll be like, ooh, send me an image.
06:25And I'm like, aha.
06:26Wow.
06:27I died at Epiphany last night.
06:28You did?
06:29And I pulled about 50 different pictures from online.
06:32Nice.
06:33For the acoustic set.
06:34Awesome.
06:35I want it to be all 50s dresses.
06:37For the tour, we chose to be a little reflective and sentimental and tie in the designers who had been with Taylor from the beginning.
06:49I mean, dancing all night.
06:50Yeah, my feet ache, but I'm wearing Louboutins.
06:52Like, it is a privilege for these feet to ache like this.
06:57This was designed by Roberto Cavalli.
07:00She puts it on in the dark on stage.
07:02The Magic of Velcro.
07:03The video for 22.
07:04I remember it like it was yesterday.
07:06Reputation.
07:08These strips are all sequined by hand.
07:11Cavalli, 1989.
07:13I remember meeting with Versace in Milan.
07:16And I was like, oh, my gosh.
07:18When you see the Versace bodysuit just made of all these crystals and the light hits it and it's just...
07:26Oh, my God.
07:27Ooh.
07:28So obsessed with this.
07:30This is my new favorite, for sure.
07:32It somehow, like, heals me from having the stomach flu.
07:37It can take me from being utterly exhausted.
07:40I'm just like, nope.
07:41If I'm wearing this, I gotta level up.
07:43I gotta be on the level of this outfit.
07:45So here's another option of the coat.
07:51It's less overtly military, you know?
07:54When I start working on something with tea...
07:58You wanna try the white one?
08:00I'm only thinking about the effect that it has on her.
08:04Oh, my God.
08:06That's amazing.
08:09Until I step into a stadium and I'm, like, blown away.
08:14Listen for the best.
08:16My reputation's never been worse, so you must like me fool me.
08:21Thousands of people dress in a way that reflects one of Taylor's looks.
08:26Diver on the east side, where you at?
08:29Falling lights at my nightstand in the black.
08:31Come here, you can meet me in the back.
08:34They use tape.
08:35They use stones.
08:36They use whatever.
08:37I am a lover.
08:38She has an outfit with, like, a lot of rainbow fringe.
08:41That's kind of where this came in.
08:43The commitment the fans have is beyond the music.
08:48There's a connection on a deep soul level with Taylor.
08:53During her New Jersey concert, Taylor debuted a new dress in this beautiful burgundy.
08:58Again, like the jacket.
09:00I really love this one.
09:02The costumes generally mean a lot.
09:07But reputation was monumental.
09:13Is it cool that I said all that?
09:15Is it too soon to do this yet?
09:18Cause I know that it's dead like it.
09:21My favorite part of the show is the reputation set.
09:24My mom made this outfit from scratch.
09:26I have, like, a reputation bodysuit inside.
09:28I love it.
09:29Like, it turns into a bodysuit.
09:30I'm a reputation girl.
09:31Of course.
09:32Taylor Swift's most iconic outfit on the Heiress tour is, of course, this never-changing reputation bodysuit.
09:42Which we've only gotten one the entire 131 shows.
09:45What we're waiting for right now is to see if Taylor Swift is gonna come out with a new reputation outfit.
09:50What's the same?
09:51Same outfit.
09:52Yeah.
09:53We were clowning.
09:54We keep waiting for a new reputation bodysuit just for funsies.
09:59If she were to have a new reputation bodysuit, what would you want it to look like?
10:06This is the new one.
10:07This is the new one.
10:08Yeah.
10:09Oh, it doesn't look bad at all.
10:16No, it does.
10:17It does.
10:18See, this...
10:19It's gotta come up.
10:20It has to come up because they think my boobs are here, but they're here.
10:24You know?
10:25The original catsuit was made from a different fabric.
10:30That was all the fabric that there was in the world.
10:32So we had to recreate the fabric for the second one.
10:35And for this one.
10:36I know what you mean.
10:37Yeah, it's just really annoying and I have to do really athletic shit in this.
10:40We thought we could fix it because there was no time for them to actually recreate a new one in time for Miami.
10:46They couldn't do it.
10:55начi-
11:17Action!
11:18I've never done that before.
11:20Dude, that was great.
11:21I'm gonna get one last time.
11:22this is the tour gift wall where at the end of each tour we get a plaque thanking us for the
11:32you know for participating in the tour this was my first tour with her and i started with taylor
11:382009 in the trajectory of my professional life and career yeah that's probably the zero to 60
11:47right there strapped onto that rocket and have been able to do all of this with her which is great
11:57remember this oh
12:02it was her first birthday present from taylor
12:06it's got a little photo of mommy and sophie daddy and sophie and then miss taylor as she calls her
12:12yes miss taylor we had both our kids while i was working for her so she was kind of around
12:19both of the births and i think that this was it was the first child yeah it was the first
12:23kid born while in the band yeah um and so yeah it was i think it was a special moment yeah um yeah
12:33it's so wonderful being able to carry a professional family
12:37with you as you go through phases of life as you go through ups and downs and heartbreaks
12:52there is such a special bond among the touring family that's it's it's like having another family
12:58they're the only other people really in the world who know what this is like
13:01like before the show after the show on the off days we are like this and that's not normal
13:12it's like she's handpicked these incredible people to be a part of this family
13:19most of the people i'm out here on the road with have known me since high school
13:24but also there are people that i just got to know in this phase of my life jeslyn is one of the most
13:38talented resilient loving people i've ever been around she was the newest addition to our backup
13:44singers i started with her reputation i had never done a stadium tour before and so the first show was
13:52just like wow this is a lot of people we've been singing together for a couple of years and when
14:01jeslyn got sick it was the first blow that the tour family experienced emotionally it was like
14:11completely unfathomable to us
14:16sucks while on tour i was diagnosed with breast cancer
14:21and obviously it was devastating but every weekend we had a show so i still flew to the next
14:33city did a show with everyone and like in the middle of the week when we weren't doing shows
14:37i would fly back to la and just had biopsies and just poked and broaded to learn really what i had to do
14:43treatment wise and then hopped back on stage and pretended like nothing was happening
14:51i'll never forget when she told us everyone was just in shambles and it's the not knowing
14:58when i let taylor know she came storming in with hugs and crying and just saying i'm so sorry and her
15:06mom said you just take care of you and we'll be here when you're ready
15:14so six months i had to like take off and go through chemo
15:20surgery i had edema i had like skin issues i usually have all this curly hair
15:29hair lost about 75 percent of my hair i felt and looked completely different and just kind of
15:40watch my friends on live streams in the show it was a hard one because we got to come be together
15:47for months we love you jesslyn we miss you she was home by herself i miss you isolated from the family
16:00we just wanted her to know that no matter what under any circumstances if she wanted to come back she
16:07could goodbye treatment i said how quickly can i get back on tour after i'm done with radiation my doctor
16:22said that night but you have to get back into shape she literally finished radiation and got on a plane
16:32um i actually have a video of when we saw each other at the hotel just coming back to this joy-filled
16:42show and these people just emphasized even more how much we're a family
16:48i cannot believe that she was back in a few months
17:03the will to come back and do the hardest show ever none of us could believe it i still can't
17:18do the hardest show ever since i've ever been in the hospital i've been in the hospital i've been in the hospital
17:38blacked out
17:41right you just keep your money still in no way do i ever apply this
17:45you just want to flag that as i do every time i have to do pull-ups
18:01strong dislike two thumbs down you have gotten stronger in those throughout the years it's from
18:07all the pent-up rage and resentment i have for them so you should leave on thursday night
18:13thursday morning go there do a full run-through in the stadium which i'm really excited about with
18:20costumes i want to be like back in it so much that i can like not be so like remember your stuff that
18:28you don't want to forget like you know you don't want to see me do this without a rehearsal that's what
18:33you don't want yeah
18:34there are a lot of things that we pulled off on this tour that i've never even attempted on
18:42past tours i think the longest show i ever did before was two hours and 15 minutes
18:49i never would have believed you if you would have told me we would be doing a three and a half hour show
18:54now saying that is one thing doing that physically is another
18:59i've never worked out this much in my life it's horrible
19:10i really had to up my game in terms of physical training
19:16six months ahead of my first rehearsal running on the treadmill every single day at the tempo of the
19:22the songs that i was playing while singing them out loud you just don't want them to see you panting
19:321989 and reputation are very high cardio anything's hard when you're scaling a stage that goes the entire
19:41length of an nfl stadium i think i run like eight miles in the show
19:45once we get to miami the turnaround time from landing and performing will be very short
19:55we leave in six days haven't played the show in a couple months and there are some things i want
20:01to make sure that i don't mess up
20:23all right
20:24oh we are so back
20:34nice
20:38can i do a video um like out in the stadium with my cat we'll find a place out in the stadium but it'll
20:44be like me walking in with my cat just like take my sunglasses off
20:49and like so it would be behind me and then once i stopped start going around me like this
20:57okay it's basically like we're back in the office yeah you know yeah yeah for sure
21:02and i've got my most well-behaved cat for it
21:04it's wild being back so it's lots of hugging telling the same story like 50 times
21:34as far as what you've been up to over the break it's awesome it's awesome to be back it doesn't
21:37feel like work
21:38florida one two three four one we are starting our last leg of this tour
21:45we have 18 more shows left which is very bittersweet it's very sad
21:49we're cramming yeah cramming for the test at miami stadium a little nervous but but you know
22:04it's because we want it to be good oh man well we'll see we'll see what i remember
22:14i keep thinking today is a show day huh i keep thinking today is a show day
22:18it is a show day it is a show day in my brain it has to be a show day i have got to like
22:24plan i need to do a full run through because my brain just it's like i can't remember a single
22:30part of the show we should all treat tonight like a show day show day um fitting time
22:40oh when are you bringing out new rep that's what i was about to say are we actually gonna get
22:45i know i'm like i got really excited all of a sudden i gotta see if this can even happen because
22:49they put my boob cups on my rib cage either way i want to see it it's not that beautiful the way
23:01it fits me now wow it fits it fits it fits it fits it fits i don't know how you guys manage this
23:22oh wait how does it fit so well this is beautiful
23:26i'm really glad they're here to document this because they documented the other the other way
23:30oh it's perfect nothing's gonna pop out and look it's like it's in this how is in the right spot
23:38because diana's a genius you guys took the cups out what happened
23:43oh it's now my favorite i didn't see this coming i'm shocked
23:49amazing this i don't know i don't know i don't know i don't know i don't know how you did it
23:59i truly don't when i tell you guys that the bra was in a corset here
24:06like like a second row of others oh i'm so excited i'm so excited i've never had an alternate
24:13outfit for the reputation section not once people are going to lose their mind
24:27as we were getting ready to go back into the shows again taylor was like mom i'm really worried
24:45i'm trying to go back in my mind and run through the show and i get to certain spots and it just stops
24:50and i said don't worry about it i said you're gonna get back on that stage and everything will
24:58come flooding back i guarantee it and i hoped that i was right but i didn't know
25:05performing that show is incredibly technical and hard this tour isn't kind of like oh we just fly by
25:12the seat of our pants around here no like we stage manage the shit out of this show
25:16we're dealing with lots of production elements lighting screen content pyro moving floors confetti
25:29costumes choreography there's so many moving parts and it has to be no mistakes perfect timing
25:38there's a lot going on that happens really fast a lot of fast cues from one end of the stage to the
25:48other see piano lift up go it's nerve-wracking 3.3 ufo go go go go go
25:59it takes a lot taking the right stuff out at the right times so we all have to communicate well we're
26:10always moving the wings can be challenging we have had incidences where they broke if there's high
26:17winds it gets really hard for them because it's super heavy q 4301 go
26:30she's singing and having to engage and having to figure out what's coming next
26:38she has some flexibility in where she might go but there are sometimes when it's very exact
26:44and if she's not standing in the right place it's actually dangerous
26:49i don't want to fall in a hole and i don't want to have like pyro go off on my head i legitimately
26:53celebrate like every moment that something doesn't go wrong everybody is firing on all cylinders
27:09i work in the wardrobe department
27:19and i also am one of taylor's dressers there's two of us
27:23every alpha change is about a minute and 15 or less our fastest quick change though is 39 seconds
27:32with her in the room those quick changes are like nothing you've ever seen before
27:40it is like watching a nascar race how many quick changes does she have
27:45like 20 quick changes our crew helped us build four quick change booths from there we kind of travel
27:53through the underworld of the stage it's all very very fast
28:01we don't really have time for snags it's very choreographed every second counts every millisecond
28:07counts there were moments where i thought i don't know if these costume changes are gonna happen in
28:16time i'm only off the stage for a maximum of two minutes at a time those transitions it's like i'm
28:23going under the stage i'm getting on a weird like pulley system i'm getting pulled over here meanwhile
28:29i'm unzipping my thing i'm running upstairs i'm going into a different quick change room on a whole
28:34different floor i'm ripping this off i'm putting this on stomp your feet three times it's literally
28:40the most complicated system you have no idea the panic of worrying you're not going to be dressed in
28:48time for the song to start and it is that panic that drives me to never be late
28:59i remember one time i was running from the evermore era
29:02i trip over the hem of my dress bust my knee i skid the palm of my hand off
29:13hobble into the quick change room blood's coming down my hand i'm changing into the reputation body
29:19suit the skin that's flapping off i just pull it off more blood they don't have a band-aid back there
29:26turn turn turn turn wasn't late wasn't late for the intro of that song the fans noticed it a couple
29:36days later they're like oh her palm's gone i was like i am not acknowledging this what nothing's wrong
29:43that's always been like that it was really good but i made three mistakes and i'm so glad i made
29:58in a rehearsal you know what i mean yeah can i talk to the dancers real quick about how i'm supposed to
30:03fall off that thanks i've completely forgotten yeah can you hold balen for me yeah she'll just remind me
30:09and i'll just do it right okay going up jazz hands look at that full moon it's gorgeous
30:22hi three mistakes in three three and a half hours that's not too bad it's been way worse before it's
30:29way way better than what i would be good job my first mistake was tell me is it
30:35baby let the games begin let the games begin let the games begin are you ready for it that's it yeah
30:42i went i went too early that's okay okay early is hell what about your quiet trees and for a fortnight
30:51there we were forever running to you sometimes i was here about okay and then do you need me no i
30:59really really really do for this next part because i still cannot remember what happens for my fall for
31:04midnight rain which hand i i know that i go he was sunshine i was midnight i think it's this one i reach
31:12up i can't remember yes that's right do you want to try that one tomorrow
31:19just you were sunshine i was midnight yes i do want to try it yeah yeah just for good luck just so that i
31:27can confidently fall eight feet i just sometimes i get like a cat stuck in a tree yeah but you haven't done
31:34it for two months yeah it's gonna be great good morning south florida we have that full moon it is
31:43going to cause coastal flooding we're also under wind advisory we have winds expected to gusts up to
31:4835 miles per hour and around 7 p.m swifties heads up if you're headed to the concert hang on to your
31:52umbrella even the potential for downpours headed through the evening and tonight
31:56we haven't seen anything over 20 in the last 20 years
32:26four hours that's good to know because it has been higher outside the bowl
32:31okay the weather element of playing outdoor stadiums is at times delightful and exciting
32:39at times it is frustrating at times it is feels uh really really horrific looking at precipitation
32:48right now it looks like as you go on later in the day the chances for showers start to increase
32:54like that's how much crazy weather we've run into on this tour
33:14this is the rainiest rain show that ever rain showed
33:18weather components i don't enjoy extreme wind do not like it do not love it do not like to see
33:29this the speakers doing this hate that don't want it when you hear the word lightning that's when we
33:37we start having to really worry about postponements we also have the lightning detection system
33:45and this you can come in here monitor it come and go as you please all right we're good thank you
33:52then you get situations where sometimes it's kind of wonderful just cinema just drama just it adds to
34:02it it adds to the show if there aren't other weather situations at play
34:11hey did they want to go straight up to stage yes for the fall yeah let's go erica's with us
34:15oh hello hi hi hey all you do is you twist and then they'll catch you okay easy and no matter
34:31which way you go they're gonna catch you so if by chance you happen to lift your left they're still
34:37gonna get you okay okay i will definitely do that i always remembered mike out yep yeah okay
34:43want to try it in yeah okay okay because he was sunshine i was midnight beautiful yeah that's what it
34:52was thanks guys yeah sorry about that don't worry see you later
35:00see you later
35:01first song i'm gonna do is this is me trying and then i'm going into daylight

44:06Baby, let love games begin
44:07Let love games begin
44:09Let love games begin
44:10Are you ready for it?
44:34I'm very well aware of mysterious forces at play that I will never have any control of
44:41Let's go
44:42Let's go
44:43Let's go
44:44Let's go
44:45Let's go
44:46So all I can ever do is say to myself, I'm going to use every tool in my toolkit.
45:02I'm going to paint with every single brush I've got.
45:04I'm going to be as detail-oriented as possible.
45:07I'm going to try as hard as I possibly can to give these people everything that they want.
45:16But sometimes there's something that happens that's amazing.
45:24That's not something you can plan for and not something that you can manufacture.
45:38You know, it's like...
45:41There's still got to be some, like, magical, beautiful mystery to life.
