00:00The 2026 Nissan Pathfinder is kind of a shapeshifter in the SUV world.
00:05Since its debut back in 1985, this three-row family hauler has bounced between rugged truck-based routes and softer car-like designs, more times than most people can keep track of.
00:18One generation goes body in frame, the next switches to unibody, and then it flips back again.
00:23Even Nissan admits it's confusing.
00:25Right now, the Pathfinder is still riding on a unibody platform.
00:30And for 2026, it's getting a refresh rather than a full redesign.
00:35The big news?
00:36A handful of smart upgrades, a redesigned front and rear, and a cool new paint color called Baltic Teal.
00:44The next-gen Pathfinder will eventually go back to body on frame.
00:47But that's still down the road.
00:50Under the hood, nothing dramatic has changed.
00:52The Pathfinder keeps its familiar 3.5-liter V6, making 284 horsepower and 259 pounds FT of torque.
01:02Paired with a 9-speed automatic transmission, Nissan didn't follow Infiniti's move to a turbo four-cylinder.
01:09At least not yet.
01:10If you go for the Rock Creek trim and run premium fuel, you get a small boost to 295 horsepower and 270 pounds FT of torque.
01:21One of the most interesting updates for 2026 is something you'll use every day.
01:27The new wireless phone charger.
01:29Nissan added a magnetic fan-cooled charging pad right in front of the shifter.
01:33It locks your phone in place so it doesn't slide around, even during hard driving.
01:38It works with newer iPhones and Pixel phones, and Android users can use a compatible case.
01:45Best of all, it charges at 15 Watch 3 times faster than before, and the cooling fan helps.
01:52Prevent overheating while running apps like Google Maps.
01:55We also spent a little time driving the Pathfinder Rock Creek, which is the more rugged-looking version of the lineup.
02:01It sits slightly higher than other trims, with 7.7 inches of ground clearance, wider all-terrain tires, and a suspension tuned for rougher roads.
02:12It looks tough, with extra cladding, a unique grille, and a roof rack.
02:17Power feels fine for daily driving, though you'll need to push the throttle to get moving quickly.
02:22Tire noise is noticeable at highway speeds.
02:25Inside, the Pathfinder gets a cleaner look,
02:28thanks to a new standard 12.3-inch touchscreen.
02:32It's positioned lower on the dash, and paired with physical buttons and knobs, which is a win.
02:39Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are standard across the board.
02:43Rear passengers get plenty of space,
02:45plus USB ports, air vents, cough folders, and seat-back storage.
02:51New camera systems also make life easier.
02:54One offers a 180-degree front view to help see around corners.
02:58While the invisible hood view lets you see where the front wheels are great,
03:03for tight parking curbs, or afro trails.
03:07The 2026 Nissan Pathfinder is built in the U.S., and should arrive at dealerships early next year.
03:13Prices start at $38,995, and climb to $46,495 for a fully-loaded Rock Creek for WD.
03:24It may not be a revolution, but this refresh makes the Pathfinder smarter.
03:29More comfortable, and a little cooler literally.
03:33If you're charging your phone,
03:43for what should release you this evening,
03:58for this event of a last isolated Patty Carlton?
04:02No doubt.
04:02All the best help.
04:04So I hope to see you in the next couple of minutes
