The all-new 2026 Nissan LEAF offers a sleek and streamlined design, an effortless charging experience, improved battery range, and even greater value for money. The 2026 Nissan LEAF will reach Nissan dealerships this fall with Manufacturer's Suggested Retail Prices (MSRP) for the S+ grade starting at $29,990 – the lowest starting MSRP for any new EV currently on sale in the U.S.

Nissan's commitment to making EV mobility accessible to all is demonstrated by the new LEAF's MSRP being lower than it was 15 years ago, when the 2011 LEAF carried a list price of $32,780.

Additionally, the 2026 SV+ grade has an MSRP of $34,230, undercutting the 2025 LEAF SV PLUS by $1,960 despite offering dramatically more standard features and an increased driving range.

The all-new LEAF features a longer driving range of up to 303 miles per charge, and built-in North American Charging Standard (NACS) compatibility with Plug & Charge provides seamless access to more than 20,000 Tesla Superchargers for convenient public charging, making LEAF ideal for commuting and road trips alike.

LEAF's modern design includes clean, minimalist surfacing and details like motorized flush door handles, a Nissan-first for a production car; a sleek, curving roofline, featuring a katana blade element inspired by the Z sports car; and a segment-first dimming panoramic roof, which can transition between opaque and transparent at the touch of a button. The airy, spacious cabin features dual displays (12.3 inches, S/S+; 14.3 inches, SV+/PLATINUM+); an open, flat floor beneath the dashboard; and redesigned seats that enhance second-row knee room.

Advanced technology throughout makes living with LEAF effortless and enjoyable. Available Google built-in, including Google Maps, streamlines navigation with Intelligent Route Planner, and the use of other familiar apps. New-to-LEAF camera tech includes standard, class-exclusive Intelligent Around View® Monitor, standard Invisible Hood View8 and standard Front Wide View8 functions.

01:39Wow, what a launch.
01:44I have goosebumps.
01:46I'm Amelia Hartford.
01:47You might know me from building cars, racing them, or possibly even a few movies.
01:52But today, I'm here to show you something really special.
01:55The all-new Nissan Leaf.
01:57Come on, let me show you.
02:03The first thing you'll notice is this is definitely a new Leaf with an entirely new look.
02:08It has a new crossover design, a bold front grille, and flush door handles, which all helps
02:15this car slice through the air.
02:17Better aerodynamics means better efficiency, which means better range, which is super important for any car owner.
02:23And check this out, holographic tail lights with a signature Nissan design.
02:28That 2-3 means Nissan in Japanese.
02:31And speaking of design, here is somebody who knows a thing or two about just that.
02:36Head of Global Design for Nissan, Alfonso Alviza.
02:41Can you tell me a little bit about how the overall design translates into a more efficient vehicle?
02:48So on the one side, it's about Japan, and it's about the culture of Leaf, of course.
02:53On the other side, it's like the craziest science project.
02:57Where that, for instance, this line, the height of this, we negotiated back and forth,
03:03because you'd be surprised if this line was up here, we lose 10 miles of rain.
03:0710 miles.
03:0810 miles.
03:09Yeah.
03:10Because this line sets up the hood, sets up the windshield, sets up the roof, and then comes to the lovely duck tail in the back,
03:18which in fact is how we achieve these range numbers that our customer deeply wants.
03:25And I can also see the unique little Easter eggs, not just in the iconic taillights,
03:29but as we were walking by, I saw on the charge port that there's also the 2-3, the Nissan right there.
03:34And then we don't stop there.
03:36We fell in love with this sense of what is a digital art and what is a kind of physical art.
03:40As you can see, these radius rectangles.
03:43They're kind of a digital world, but they appear again in the wheels.
03:47You know, design is also about connecting.
03:50We hope to keep people entertained.
03:52Well, there's a lot of Easter eggs on the car.
03:54I don't want to spoil them all.
03:55We'll leave that for people at home.
03:56They take delivery of their very own third generation Leafs.
03:58Yes.
03:59But I have to say, incredible job.
04:00And thank you so much for taking the time and coming out here.
04:03And the interior is next level.
04:07Without the need of a transmission tunnel, it feels open and spacious.
04:11You can fit five adults in here.
04:13The interior feels premium and plush.
04:16And with an all glass panoramic moon roof, you can have shade or sun with the push of a button.
04:26And with the doors closed, it's quiet in here.
04:29It's like your own sanctuary.
04:30But when you turn the audio on, you have both speakers integrated into the headrest for a totally immersive experience.
04:37It's loaded with all the new tech you'd expect.
04:40A clean minimalist dash and a huge 14.3 inch display that is super intuitive and easy to use.
04:48It looks good.
04:49It sounds good.
04:50It feels good.
04:51Every part of this new Leaf was designed to make your life easier.
04:59One of the things I love most about cars is driving them.
05:03And I've driven my fair share of cars.
05:06But this car, one of the things I love most is how easy it is.
05:10It's just so natural.
05:11You put your foot down and it goes.
05:13It hugs the corners.
05:14It maneuvers easily.
05:15And it's just comfortable to drive.
05:18And what better person to talk to me about the drive experience other than Leaf's chief product specialist, Endosan.
05:25Hi, Emilia.
05:26Hi.
05:27Tell me, what was your vision for the all new Leaf?
05:29My vision was to build the most efficient and seamless EV for customers.
05:34This is the most emotional, yet functional car.
05:37Really heartbeat model.
05:39So, how did you make this car so efficient?
05:41Most important point is aerodynamics, which gives us a really great driving range, which is 600 kg for the Japan, Europe, or more than 300 miles for the US.
05:54Speaking of aerodynamics, this has the best aerodynamics in its class, which means improved stability.
06:01And on the highway, it's quieter and smoother.
06:05But there's also something special, which is the route optimizer.
06:09Yes, exactly.
06:10In the customer journey, the customer can easily find the best route and also active charging spot.
06:17So, this experience is totally seamless and efficient.
06:21So, no more range anxiety?
06:23No more range anxiety.
06:26Beautiful.
06:27Well, thank you so much, Endosan.
06:29Now, we're not the only ones who's impressed with the way the new Leaf handles.
06:32Chris and Julie Ramsey have spent more time behind the wheel of a Nissan Leaf than most folks.
06:37They're first-generation owners, and they've driven Nissan EVs across the entire world.
06:43So, if anyone knows how this car should perform, it's them.
06:47Let's take a look at what they had to say about this car.
06:50This feels like the first day when I got inside that first 2014 Leaf.
06:57Let's go for it.
06:58Yes!
07:00Now it's going.
07:01Now it's giving.
07:02Now it's giving.
07:03Now it's giving.
07:04Now it's giving.
07:05Now it's giving.
07:06Yes!
07:07It just feels effortless.
07:08It's so smooth.
07:09You just fly.
07:10You glide.
07:11I'm barely turning, and we're just going through the sharp bend right now.
07:15The steering input is so much more responsive.
07:17I mean, this is built for an adventure, right?
07:19The range it's got.
07:20The efficiency it's got.
07:21Should we just keep going?
07:23Do you think they'll notice if we just kept driving?
07:27I just want to drive it home.
07:34Did you know the Leaf can also power your life?
07:37Chris and Julie have everything you see here running off the Leaf's battery.
07:41No generator.
07:42No noise.
07:43Just instant power wherever you want it.
07:45I mean, who wouldn't want a movie night in the middle of nowhere?
07:49Or, in your guys' case, on route to the South Pole.
07:53That is definitely something I can get on board with, Amelia, because vehicle to load V2L in this car, it's like having a mobile power station.
08:00You can use this energy in a way that suits your lifestyle, and I can even power that coffee machine, which I love.
08:06Now, you can take your favorite appliances and plug them directly into the car, and having those creature comforts of home right with you when you go out exploring.
08:14I mean, I love a good cup of coffee, but the Leaf can do so much more than that.
08:19It actually changes the way you think about a car.
08:21In fact, the Leaf can power your home for up to five days in a blackout.
08:25And in some markets, you can even use the power from the Leaf, sending it back to the grid, effectively saving you money.
08:32I mean, pretty smart, right?
08:33Yeah, I mean, this is one of the biggest features for me, because whether you're powering your car, your home, or you're supporting the grid,
08:39the Leaf now gives you flexibility you just don't get with a combustion vehicle.
08:43Thank you, Chris and Julie.
08:45There's 15 years of heritage and experience in this third-generation Leaf, and it shows.
08:51But the movie magic isn't over just yet.
09:00And just like that, I am now joined by the CEO leading Nissan into the future, Yvonne Espinoza.
09:06Yvonne, this is a big moment for Nissan in your first global product launch as CEO.
09:11What does the new Leaf mean to you?
09:13It means so much to me.
09:15I've been with the company almost 25 years, so I've been following this car very closely.
09:19And what the Leaf did was to really redefine and establish the EV market globally.
09:24And this third generation is the culmination of many lessons.
09:28It really put our designers, our planners, and our engineers around the customer to really drive what they needed.
09:35And this is why this car is part of re-Nissan and one of our heartbeat models.
09:40What are you most excited about for the all-new third generation Leaf?
09:44Well, to see it on the road.
09:46I think EVs are much more than just transportation means.
09:49EVs are about managing energy and making customers' lives more efficient.
09:54So I'm really happy to launch this car, to have a lot of new customers,
09:57and to welcome many of them to the EV life.
09:59Well, thanks, Yvonne.
10:00It's a very exciting time.
10:01And congratulations to you and the entire team.
10:04Everyone has done a fantastic job.
10:06Thank you. Thank you very much.
10:08The new Leaf isn't just a car.
10:13It's freedom.
10:14It's power.
10:15It has a whole new way of living.
10:17It has the power to move you like no other vehicle.
10:21I'm excited and I hope you are too.
