00:00When we reached the last night at Wembley Stadium in London,
00:05all of us felt such satisfaction.
00:10We've had so many special moments where just like,
00:13it just reminds me what a concert can do
00:17if you give it your all.
00:22Then again, no matter how good a tour is,
00:25it's a huge massive undertaking.
00:28It's hard work.
00:30That's the challenge, that's the adventure,
00:33and that's what every person on this tour is doing.
00:41Every single night, no matter what's going on,
00:45we're gonna do everything in our power to blow your mind.
00:58We've had fun.
00:59We've had fun.
01:00Tear.
01:01Tear.
01:02Tear.
01:08Tear.
01:09Tear.
01:10Tear.
01:11Tear.
01:12My goal for the Era's tour is that I didn't want the fans to leave thinking that they missed out on anything.
01:17One thing I've always tried to do is, like, give something to the fans that they didn't expect.
01:23When we had done the first half of the tour, what the fans didn't know at the time was that I was writing a brand new album, The Torture Poets Department.
01:32And in the middle of me releasing the album, we had to be all hands on deck, creating a brand new era to put into the show to represent that album.
01:42This is so fun!
01:47We're doing theater!
01:49Doing all of this completely secretly, all in, like, a tiny little break that we had between Asia and Europe.
01:56Are there sounds from Fortnite that are not the synth sound?
02:01Or do we go into, like, strings?
02:04Like, this feels like a highly elevated chapter.
02:07We build this top-secret rehearsal facility for us to lock in the set list.
02:13Go, who's afraid, a little bit of down bad, probably a verse and a chorus, or a pre-chorus and a chorus, and that might be it.
02:24Like, I would kind of do surgical tweakings to each song, be like, okay, these songs, but cut out the bridge and the second verse of this.
02:30And then, so tell me everything is not about me.
02:38To make it so that we could fit this many songs in the show.
02:42Bam!
02:42And say they didn't do it to hurt me.
02:46Everyone in!
02:48And I want, and double as big for, I want a snarly.
02:52I'm going to have a mental breakdown during this song.
02:54Like, it's going to be so fun.
02:56And then, we put together all new choreography.
03:02Learning choreography, all just hearing it in our heads because they can't play the music on speakers because it's not out yet.
03:08The first line is, did you really beam me up?
03:11What I want is for a light to spot, like, right on me, like it's the alien ship.
03:18Right into this, like, crazy, like, alien light.
03:22And then, down that bridge.
03:28Woo!
03:28Yeah.
03:30There's an entirely new order of the chapters, so I'm relearning the entire show, essentially.
03:35It feels crazy to, like, take all the pieces apart and then put them together in different order.
03:41Yeah, and I think I'd rather feel this way, where I'm a little bit confused, a little bit like, what, what, uh, than being, like, on autopilot.
03:51Yeah.
03:51Because I could do, the show we were doing in Asia, I could do with myself.
03:54Yeah, at first we're all like, we all fear change.
03:56But then, we're like, yeah, we got this.
03:58Yeah, but we're here because we accepted challenges our whole lives.
04:01Oh, my God, that was a risk.
04:02That could have gone so bad.
04:05There was the danger that we, it could have felt like we had sort of shoehorned something in, or that, you know, people didn't like the new show as much as they liked the old show.
04:14I swear to God, if I heard people online being like, I miss the old show, I was going to be like, oh, my God, you have no idea how hard this was to do.
04:20We're going to get to watch 45,000 people experience the fact that they're seeing something that's never been seen before.
04:29We're going out to play our first show of the new set in Paris.
04:34The crowd has no idea that we've added a completely new section and rearranged things, and, and I am so, so excited.
04:42I love having a good secret.
04:44When we brought out this new show in Paris, it was so rewarding because all of that secrecy and all of that working during our only time off paid off so much because the fans were so excited.
05:00It was such a dynamic new addition to the show.
05:05Now, going into the last show in London, I have the opportunity to add to their experience, even on top of that.
05:15Taylor wants to make the last London show as powerful as possible.
05:20She's like, I want to blow this thing out. We're going to do this right.
05:23She wants to do Florida with Florence Welch, Florence and the Machine.
05:28Performing Florida with Florence is something I've wanted to do ever since the two of us wrote that song.
05:34And then it just so happened that she was going to be available in London.
05:37You're not nervous about the show. You know, you know how it runs.
05:40And suddenly it's something like Florence coming to do Florida.
05:44The choreography meets the music meets automation, which is the stage movement and is starting from scratch again.
05:54I know that when I say to them, I want to perform Florida with Florence and I really want to do it with full production.
05:59I know that it's some kind of creative brainstorming sessions, but I know it's doable because all the dancers, the choreographers, the production designers, the crew, the entire band,
06:10every person we have is the best one doing it in the entire industry.
06:15This is kind of funny. We have to rehearse the song.
06:28We kind of do what we usually do in the comfort of a studio from the road, but also trying to keep things from leaking before the surprise.
06:39It's a stadium with no roof, so there's like fans outside and say, you have to turn the PA off and we have to do it quietly, you know?
06:49It is so much extra work to keep things a surprise.
06:55Let me tell you, I need a nap just thinking about it, but it's so worth it when we can actually pull it off.
07:02Your programming sounds at Soundcheck, the dancers are finding a place to work on choreography for it where people can't find out what's happening.
07:12You know, before you know it, I'm in a random ballroom in the middle of a hotel with Amanda at like 9.30 at night.
07:21Maybe then, maybe you come off there.
07:24Florence, open up on the, into the diagonals, maybe?
07:28Yeah.
07:28With choreography, I asked one of my friends, Emma Stone, who's done a lot of work in dance in her films, you know, who have you worked with that you would recommend for this?
07:39And she's like, there's only one person that needs to be on your list, and it's Mandy Moore.
07:42I never would have thought that I would be in the same sentence as Taylor Swift ever in my life.
07:48You know, I've always been a big fan, but I, funny enough, I come from really more film and television.
07:53I don't really do artist performance.
07:56Now I understand why I was brought in, because she really wanted to do something different, and she likes the storytelling.
08:02I mean, her songs are mini-movies, so when I listen to them, it's just lyrics and melody swirling with ideas in my head, and then you just start making something.
08:13Yeah.
08:13Is there something about that, like, bop, that meme?
08:16Yeah.
08:16And then all of a sudden, it comes out.
08:20Good.
08:22Yeah.
08:22Do you want to do seven?
08:25Beautiful.
08:27Gorgeous, Amanda.
08:28Love.
08:28Like, one, two, three.
08:29Amanda Balin, the first time that I saw her do her thing, she was choreographing the tour.
08:36She was not a dancer.
08:37Her job was to show me what I'd be doing with the dancers.
08:41I would just get so much inspiration from what she was doing as a performer.
08:50I just kept saying, like, you're such a pop star, Amanda.
08:52In the middle of the night, in my dreams.
08:56This was my dream.
08:57Truly.
08:58It was my dream to do live shows and tour like this.
09:01More so than Broadway or anything.
09:03I just, I always was drawn to this.
09:06I actually haven't looked at these.
09:08I just keep throwing them in.
09:11I started out by doing small things.
09:14And then I booked a job as a swing for a Janet Jackson tour, which was, oh, I'd always wanted
09:19to dance for her.
09:20I went on to tour with Celine Dion.
09:22What else have I done?
09:24Oh, oh, I danced for Lady Gaga for five plus years.
09:28I toured for five years straight.
09:30I worked on Glee, which was a longstanding dancing TV show for a while.
09:34That was a wonderful job.
09:35I went on to do some films like La La Land.
09:38And I've performed at probably every major award show with different artists.
09:42And I've been a part of many tours.
09:46As much as you want it to last forever, dance isn't a forever career.
09:54The demand on your body is not sustainable.
09:56If we can get this strong when you do all those, you know, wild movements, then this can stabilize
10:02your spine, helping.
10:04I have two labral tears in my hip flexors.
10:06Like things were just breaking down.
10:09I kind of just decided it was a very tough decision, but to gracefully start to peel myself away
10:15from being a professional dancer and to do things behind the scenes.
10:23I remembered asking Mandy, I wonder if Amanda would ever dance with us.
10:28And Mandy was like, ah, she's retired.
10:30She hung up her dancing shoes a while ago.
10:34At some point, Mandy came to me and said, hey, the team wants to know if you want to do the show.
10:39My first response to being asked to do the tour was a chuckle and a, oh, hell no.
10:43I don't even know if I could do it.
10:45Being involved in the behind the scenes and then doing it on stage, those are two different things.
10:51I had doubts in my ability.
10:53I was worried that I wasn't going to be as good as I was when I was dancing.
10:58But at the end of the day, even though there was a lot of fear, it was just too wonderful of an opportunity.
11:05A second chance, I get chills.
11:07It was a second chance that most people don't get to have.
11:15We're counting this song in fast state.
11:17So it'll be a one, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight.
11:21Oh, one, two, three, four, five, seven, eight.
11:24She says, um, and a five, two, three, four.
11:27On five, it's the word weed.
11:29And you guys are going to kind of do like a little bit of a deflate.
11:32And my friends all smell like weed.
11:34Yeah, yeah, yeah.
11:35Weed or little babies.
11:39And you'll roll up.
11:40Uh-huh.
11:41And on the five of the fifth.
11:42And my friends all smell like weed or little.
11:45One, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight.
11:49Okay?
11:49Just so you have an idea.
11:50And then guys, what?
11:51Loose?
11:52Yes!
11:52Hey, Dewey.
11:56Amanda and I were in, like, an empty ballroom last night.
12:02Just like, okay, it's just going to, like, idiots.
12:05You just sing Amanda and I.
12:06As you can imagine, it's the normal.
12:08Okay.
12:08Florida, I want gang, gang, gang, gang.
12:11It's a hell of a drug.
12:15It is always weird, I think, with choreography, because it is true.
12:18It's, like, literally a week ago, this thing didn't exist.
12:20And my friends all smell like weed.
12:22Okay, so with the exact...
12:23Oh, do you want to do this?
12:24Just roughly, but...
12:25I was like, wow, freaking great.
12:26I was like, why did they all just do this?
12:30And then, like, the dancers become the accessories to Taylor
12:34and to the stage and to the whole experience.
12:36So it's a really important thing, and I take it very seriously.
12:41You know, I always get nervous when I'm showing Taylor something
12:44for the first time, because I...
12:46Ultimately, I just want to do well.
12:48You know, like, I want to make her happy, because I just, you know,
12:51so much respect for her.
12:52I love her.
12:53I mean, I was really terrified the first time I had to show her something.
12:58We can figure this out together.
13:02But luckily, you know, since the very early stages of this,
13:05her and I have a really nice communication.
13:08We'll witchy something in here.
13:09Together, we'll figure this out.
13:11Actually, I'm going to need to travel back to A stage during this part.
13:14Okay.
13:15Taylor can give me thoughts or colors or ideas,
13:18and I think I'm able to understand what she wants visually.
13:20Like, I want to kind of channel, like, uh, Rites of Spring Florence machine.
13:24Love it.
13:25Like, like...
13:25Like, it's taking our body.
13:27Yeah, like, like, fully, like, like, reaching...
13:30Love it.
13:31You know, like...
13:31Love it.
13:32Like, kind of like, um, like, girl in an insane asylum slash wood nymph.
13:37Love it.
13:38Yeah.
13:38I love it.
13:39So, I mean, yes.
13:40Was I nervous?
13:41I'm always nervous.
13:41I'm always sweating.
13:42I'm like, oh, God, did I make the right thing?
13:44Is this bad choices?
13:46Hello.
13:47How are you?
13:48Really good.
13:48How are you doing?
13:49I'm good.
13:50All right.
13:50I'm excited.
13:50Do you want to watch one?
13:51I would love to.
13:52And kind of see?
13:52I'll do a Florence's track.
13:54We're just doing the speaker right here.
13:55Yeah.
13:56Love it.
13:56Yeah.
13:56Okay, guys, ready to move?
13:58Yes.
13:59Okay, go for 4306.
14:01One, two, three.
14:04Stand by 4306.11.
14:06Repeat the charges, too.
14:09They said I was a cheat.
14:12I guess it must be true.
14:16And my friends all smell like we the little babies.
14:22Oh, I love that.
14:23Go.
14:23And the city wreaks the drive.
14:25Down.
14:29Go.
14:30Did you know your home's really only a town you're just a guest in?
14:36So you work your life away just to pay for a time shed down in Destin.
14:42Florida.
14:44Florida.
14:45Let's go.
14:48Florida.
14:49Oh, my God.
14:50Florida.
14:54Then whatever is here, Taylor.
14:56I am mine.
14:57And then feel like you guys can play here.
15:09And then, yeah, we made this, like, wave.
15:12Wow.
15:13Could be kind of cool, huh?
15:14Kind of cool.
15:15I hate that it's happening without us there.
15:19You could do it earlier if you want.
15:21Just didn't know if it was...
15:22Whoa.
15:23So epic back there, and no one's going to look at it.
15:26No, because they're going to be looking at you.
15:28And I almost wish that me and Florence could be on that.
15:32I mean, that would be fucking amazing.
15:34And she's up for it, yeah.
15:36I'm worried if me and Florence are here,
15:38there's people aren't going to look at it,
15:40and that bothers me.
15:42And also, I think Florence is, like, going to be really...
15:44She's totally down for, like, being in the mix and doing cool stuff.
15:48And I did my best.
15:50Like, in there.
15:50She's going to rest all of the bodies,
15:52and if I'm playing my body and my mind,
15:56they sink into the smoke.
15:59Oh, it'd be awesome if it goes down.
16:00Is that a bad thing to say in the song?
16:02Then it rises.
16:03And did you know it?
16:05Yes.
16:05Totally, right?
16:07Then it all rises at the same fucking time,
16:09and it's awesome, and everyone sees it.
16:12Good, okay.
16:13Let's run one more time,
16:15and now that I've had this chat with Taylor,
16:17then I can fix all...
16:18We have all the elements.
16:19I just now need to rework them, okay?
16:21Good job, guys.
16:22Thank you so much.
16:22Great job.
16:22This was amazing.
16:23A lot of the time when you are casting for a tour,
16:27you know, choreographers will sometimes have it in their head
16:31that they want a specific body type,
16:35they want a specific look,
16:36they want only women,
16:37they want only men.
16:39People can get very opinionated about
16:41things looking very uniform.
16:45That's not what I wanted to do with the Heiress tour.
16:47I feel like when you look up on stage as a fan,
16:50if you see people that represent you,
16:53your friends,
16:53the people you see in the world,
16:55that's, I think, much more emotional
16:58and more connective and powerful.
17:01I really wanted everyone to look up on that stage
17:03and think, I see myself in that person.
17:08Spaces, like the space that Taylor is curating,
17:11on a day, on a night-to-night basis,
17:15I wish we had more of that, right?
17:18Even outside of entertaining,
17:20it's so important to be seen,
17:23to be heard, to be understood.
17:25understood my background as a dancer.
17:31I had a lot of teachers and professors
17:34who were not so kind,
17:36mostly around my size,
17:38and if I wanted to be a professional dancer,
17:40I would need to lose weight.
17:41I remember doing an audition,
17:44and the director of the company said to me,
17:46okay, so what are we going to do about your body?
17:49In life, some people are going to try to tear you down.
17:53They want you to do something else
17:55other than the thing that you are in love with.
17:56And then there are kind people who ground you,
18:02and in my experience, that's my mom and my brother.
18:05It's important to know I came from a family
18:08with an excess of love, right?
18:12My mother sacrificed a lot
18:14for my brother and I to just have experiences.
18:18And so, my brother, he fell in love with sports.
18:23I fell in love with dance,
18:25and we were sort of navigating our training
18:28at the same time, middle school, high school, college.
18:31And it has been the joy of my life
18:37to watch him thrive in something that he loves so, so much.
18:42Now he plays in the NFL,
18:43and I watched my brother go to the Super Bowl three times.
18:48I graduated college and thought I was going to be teaching
18:50dance for the rest of my life.
18:53And I remember getting an email that said,
18:56there's a closed audition.
18:58We cannot disclose who the artist is,
19:00but it's being choreographed by Mandy Moore.
19:01I didn't have, like, a dollar to my name at the time.
19:06And I called my brother.
19:08I was like, listen, I don't know what this is,
19:13but something is telling me
19:17that I have to be in this room.
19:20He was like, okay, we will make it happen.
19:23And he bought me a flight.
19:31When he came into the audition,
19:32I was just like, he's magnetic.
19:35I mean, he's a great dancer.
19:36His smile is like the thousand-watt smile.
19:39You know, he's really well-trained.
19:41He just embodies what I felt
19:44was, like, the spirit of what these people need to be.
19:47Cam is someone who absolutely lights up
19:50not only the stage,
19:51but just our entire vibe as a tour.
19:54He's just so himself.
19:58I don't want dancers that blend in.
20:00I don't care about them pulling focus.
20:01I want them to pull focus.
20:02I want you to feel like you saw
20:04an entire crew of individual stars on the stage.
20:11Now, knowing that spaces like this
20:15do exist for me
20:17that allow me to be the fullest version of me
20:23with all I have to offer in this body
20:25as it exists right now,
20:28this feels like my Super Bowl.
20:37Did it leave my hotel room?
20:41Yeah.
20:43Woke up with a cat on my head.
20:44Oh, good.
20:46We'll get you to everyone today.
20:48Good morning.
20:49Good morning.
20:50Hi.
20:50Hi.
21:00Bonus day is so important
21:02because setting a precedent
21:04with the Heiress tour
21:05is really important to me
21:06because people who work on the road,
21:08if the tour grosses more,
21:09they get more of a bonus.
21:11And these people just work so hard
21:13and they are the best at what they do.
21:16So every single person on the crew,
21:19I've handwritten them a note.
21:20It took me a couple weeks,
21:22but it's fun to write the notes.
21:24It's, like, fun to think about everybody's lives
21:28that they're going to go back to
21:29and the time off they're going to have
21:30and, you know, the kids they haven't seen
21:32because they've been away for months.
21:33And it just, making that worthwhile for them
21:36is, like, really,
21:39it just, it feels like Christmas morning
21:40when you finally get to say thank you.
21:42I love bonus day.
21:46I love bonus day.
21:47Okay.
21:47So each one is in its own baggie
21:50and I was thinking we can lay them out.
21:53Oh, let me see the wax seal.
21:57You wax sealed every one of these things?
21:59Yeah.
22:00And I, and the fire department almost had to come.
22:04I want to show you this, Taylor.
22:06Six of the audio guys got this tattoo.
22:09It says Cruel Summer, 152 shows.
22:11Oh, my God.
22:12I, and then, I don't know.
22:15That's crazy.
22:15I don't know if you remember,
22:16but on Reputation, they all go to stake.
22:17Why is it a Grim Reaper?
22:19I have no idea.
22:20They have to keep it, like, scary.
22:22They can't, like, have, like,
22:23a tattoo of, like, a butterfly and a kitty cat.
22:26I think what that means is 152 dates
22:28almost killed them, but they made it.
22:31Oh, my God.
22:32That is exactly what it is.
22:33That's what it means, the reality of it.
22:35Jesus.
22:35Yeah.
22:36I'm going to behind the door.
22:37Get rid of the bags.
22:38It's a bit forensic.
22:39You got numbers on.
22:41What a certain one.
22:42Everybody has the same message on their card,
22:58so I was hoping you could open it.
22:59But before you look at yours,
23:01I just wanted to say, guys,
23:02this leg of this tour has been harder
23:06than anything I've ever done in a live setting,
23:09and you guys have taken this on
23:11with such excitement and such curiosity
23:13and such the endurance you've shown.
23:17But the spirit you've shown,
23:18how much you've given to these crowds,
23:20that gives to me every single night.
23:22The tour has done really well,
23:24thanks to all of our hard work.
23:26So if you will kindly read this message.
23:30Taylor Swift.
23:31Taylor Swift.
23:32Taylor Swift.
23:34Okay.
23:38There's Cam.
23:39We've traveled the world like we set out to do.
23:42We've dazzled the crowds,
23:44but we've missed family too.
23:46My full gratitude doesn't come from a thing,
23:48but here's...
23:49all this just to say things.
23:56Love, Taylor.
24:08I love you so much.
24:09This is crazy.
24:10My father was the one that presented
24:13the checks to our drivers,
24:15and he presented handwritten letters from Taylor.
24:19It's incredible.
24:20I know tour truck drivers,
24:21and I've asked...
24:22artists usually give out these big bonuses.
24:24Unheard of.
24:28What's wrong, Max?
24:30He's emotional.
24:32Oh, my God.
24:33Do you need a hug?
24:33Are you okay?
24:33I'm not falling, I'm not falling,
24:34I'm not falling, I'm not falling,
24:35I'm not falling, I'm not falling.
24:35I'm not falling, I'm not falling,
24:37I'm not falling, I'm not falling.
24:38I love you guys so much.
24:56And the first walks,
24:58you know, it felt nice
25:00if you were going to slow first,
25:01and then you round the corner.
25:04Everybody's got their things
25:05they're good at.
25:06But, uh, it's taken me
25:08a really long time
25:09to be even fine at choreography.
25:12Mandy knows how to approach
25:15teaching me choreography
25:17from a lyrical perspective.
25:19What were you doing?
25:20These little step-touch things?
25:21Yeah, they're just steps.
25:22Yeah, so just starting with your,
25:24uh, did you think?
25:26No, yeah.
25:27Home's really gone.
25:28Town, you'll get arrested.
25:30I don't do eight counts.
25:31I learn based on what syllable
25:34of the lyric I'm attaching
25:35a movement to.
25:37And I can't really learn
25:38any other way I've tried.
25:39Texas, Florida.
25:41I didn't know if it should be,
25:42yeah, I didn't know if it should be like,
25:44sing it, then throw to them,
25:46or sing, Florida.
25:48There you go, that's what I thought.
25:49Yeah, yeah.
25:49Oh, sorry.
25:51To get out there
25:52and learn the choreography
25:53in 30 minutes,
25:55and remember to hit this spot,
25:56hit this mark,
25:57this dancer's gonna come over
25:59and stand next to me
26:01for this moment
26:01in front of 90,000 people.
26:04Like, my brain would explode.
26:09It's an absolute challenge.
26:11Not to mention,
26:13the whole time she's doing this,
26:14she's singing
26:14and doing all these things
26:16at the same time.
26:17So it's a lot like juggling
26:19for three and a half hours.
26:21Learning the choreography,
26:22it's not just doing a step
26:24for the sake of doing a step.
26:25It's all very visual.
26:28And it made sense to me,
26:30narratively.
26:31It also is interesting
26:33to be in a position where, like,
26:34you know,
26:35this is a team of experts,
26:36and there's something about that
26:38that keeps me on my game
26:40and focused and locked in.
26:42It's one of the elements of, like,
26:44where that kind of pressure
26:45is a privilege,
26:46because they're not messing up.
26:49So it better not be me.
26:53Okay, so I feel good.
26:56Is it okay if I...
26:57Yeah, because we're going to
26:58put porn in tomorrow,
26:59so we'll have you with her there.
26:59Okay, perfect, perfect.
27:01We're happy if you guys...
27:01I love it.
27:02I love it.
27:02I love it.
27:03I think it's going to be so special.
27:05Beautiful job, guys.
27:06Beautiful job.
27:07Thanks for the song.
27:09Yeah.
27:09You know?
27:10Yeah.
27:10You guys rock.
27:11It's my only job.
27:11I'm excited about seeing the show again.
27:18Yeah.
27:19The driver asked me,
27:20oh, is this your first time to the show?
27:22I was like, uh, no.
27:24No.
27:24Yeah.
27:25I don't...
27:26You know, my knee is doing better,
27:28and I don't really want to be in the wheelchair.
27:31I need it a little bit, but...
27:34To get you there.
27:35Yeah, but I want to dance.
27:36Tell them.
27:37I'm going to tell them,
27:38because I feel like a hypocrite
27:39if I'm sitting in the wheelchair section,
27:41and I start popping off, you know.
27:42I think they'll come and take the wheelchair.
27:44You're going to start what?
27:45Popping off.
27:46And is that the move?
27:48Something like that.
27:49And what?
27:50Sometimes it's a shimmy.
27:51Uh-huh.
27:52Sometimes it's a roll.
27:53And when does that...
27:54When do...
27:55It is.
27:55I have so many.
27:56And a lot of times,
27:58it's you guys' choreography, too.
27:59Like...
28:00It's this way.
28:03Something like that.
28:04That.
28:04I do that.
28:05So shake it off.
28:05Yeah.
28:06Shake it off.
28:07Shake it.
28:08Uh-uh-uh.
28:09I do that move, too.
28:11Oh!
28:11Are you ready for it?
28:13Doom, doom, doom.
28:15That.
28:16That's my song.
28:18I love that one.
28:20This experience has been really amazing for me.
28:25That's okay.
28:36I've watched you make so many sacrifices.
28:42That's okay.
28:43So many for us to be able to do what we're doing.
28:50Uh-huh.
28:51And to follow those dreams with every part of us.
28:58Yeah.
28:58And...
28:58I am grateful that you're here to see it.
29:06Uh-huh.
29:07Yeah.
29:08Because Colin and I, being able to do what we love to do in such grand spaces...
29:15Uh-huh.
29:15Uh-huh.
29:16Um, it's a product of how you love us.
29:21And do.
29:22So I'm grateful that you're able to see the fruits of your labor in this way.
29:34Uh-huh.
29:35And I will never not have you in these spaces with me and celebrating with me.
29:42Uh-huh.
29:43Because just as hard as I've worked, I'm very clear and very conscious of how hard you've
29:52worked for us to be able to do so.
29:53Which is why I tried my hardest to take so much care of you.
29:57I know.
29:58I know.
29:58I know.
29:59I love you so much.
30:00I love you.
30:01Yeah.
30:03This is going to be a good show.
30:05I know.
30:05You're going to enjoy it.
30:06I'm going to dance.
30:07I know.
30:12Oh, yay!
30:16You're here!
30:17You made it!
30:21Hi.
30:21I'm Mandy.
30:22This is Corinne.
30:23Oh, my God.
30:23Oh, my gosh.
30:24What an honor.
30:25Hi.
30:25Hi.
30:26I saw the show on the other night and it was so amazing.
30:30Guys, this is Flo.
30:31These are the dancers.
30:32It's so nice to meet you.
30:33This is going to be amazing.
30:34So big.
30:35Oh, crazy, right?
30:36This is so big.
30:37No, it is.
30:38It is.
30:38And it's also, it's like a lot of ground to cover here.
30:41So we're going to show you.
30:42And then, like, the choreography is, like, we do something and it affects them.
30:47Like, where we're just like, Florida.
30:48And they're like, bleh.
30:51I have performed on big stages.
30:52But this is not, like, I thought I'd just show up and I run around.
30:57Like, because that's what I do at my own shows.
30:59I just show up and I run, like, I just run around.
31:02You're going to come up on that back lift, but you'll see it.
31:05I have never done a lift.
31:06You haven't?
31:07Oh, they're so fun.
31:08You're going to have so much fun.
31:10And we'll have...
31:11When I got there, I was like, okay, now this is your choreo.
31:13I was like, oh, no, no, wait, wait, you want me confused.
31:16I don't do this.
31:17I'm going to fuck this up.
31:19Woo!
31:20Jenny, one, two, three.
31:23You split.
31:24I got drunk and I dared to wash me away.
31:30Barricaded in the bathroom with a bottle of wine.
31:33Well, me and my ghost, we had a hell of a time.
31:36Yes, I'm haunted, but I'm feeling just fine.
31:39All my girls got their laces and their crimes.
31:42I'm watching my husband this year.
31:45No one asks any questions.
31:48Great.
31:48So now, this is Karen and Nat, and Tamia's behind you and Raph here.
31:55So you guys are nice and safe.
31:56This is going to start rising up on So I Did My Best, okay?
31:59Oh, great.
32:00And she's going to lay down, or she's going to kind of come into, if you're okay with this.
32:03Yeah.
32:04And she's just going to lay her head here.
32:06And it would be great if you wanted to connect to her head.
32:08On, like, I did my best to lay to rest all of the bodies that have ever been on my body.
32:12So it kind of makes sense.
32:13So I did my best to lay to rest all of the bodies that have ever been on my body.
32:16All of the bodies that have ever been on my body and in my mind.
32:20They sink into the swamp.
32:22Raise your arm up.
32:23Beautiful.
32:24No, sorry.
32:25Is that a bad thing to say in the song?
32:27I'm sorry about that.
32:28Yeah.
32:28So sink into the swamp.
32:29You're still down.
32:30Yes.
32:30Yes.
32:33Sink into the swamp.
32:35Song up.
32:37I've got it.
32:38Good.
32:38Now, good.
32:39So you pack your life away.
32:41It's the way that shit's done back in Texas.
32:45Florida.
32:45Boom.
32:46Beautiful.
32:47One hell of a draw.
32:49Back center.
32:50Do it again.
32:51Throw it on.
32:52Woo-hoo.
32:53Then I use you.
32:54What a treat.
32:57We're similar in that the persona is huge, but the person is soft.
33:01And so I think that's why we get along.
33:03Externally, the thing is really big.
33:07But, like, when we're together, we're just, like, silly and goofy.
33:11Seeing the show, the most beautiful thing was the crowd.
33:16I, like, it was just, like, the love and the vibe.
33:20Yeah.
33:20Like, I could, I was just, like, this, all the pockets of, like, girls in their dresses,
33:25like, dancing.
33:26I was, like, this is so amazing.
33:26There's so much joy and, like, and, like, femininity that's not, there's no shame around it.
33:33Oh, it was so beautiful.
33:36Natalie and Odie are standing right here.
33:37So you just head to the back, two girls.
33:40And then you're going to have your footprints right there.
33:43And you just got to go in the middle.
33:44And I think turn back front.
33:46Yeah, and then we'll take you down.
33:47And then Dewey will be there to get you at the end, okay?
33:51Yeah.
33:53Oh, God, this is going to be so fun.
33:54Can we?
33:55Yes, I would love.
33:56Taylor, are you good to run this, too, from the top with the lifts and everything?
33:59No, that was all we got.
34:00Can you imagine, you're like, Lawrence, good luck.
34:03It's going to be great.
34:04I'm sure you'll be fine.
34:05Good, you want to try one?
34:07All right.
34:08Yes, Lawrence!
34:10Great.
34:11Ready to go down?
34:12Let's go in my first lift.
34:15And are you okay if I kind of talk you through and I say go right?
34:17Yes, please.
34:18Perfect.
34:19What?
34:20Oh!
34:30Mommy, you'll save me.
34:41I've been feeling so alone.
34:43I keep waiting for you, but you never come as this.
34:47In my head, I don't know what you think.
34:50He led to the promise, rolled out a ring and said,
34:55Marry me, Juliet, you never have to be alone.
34:59I love you, and that's all I really know.
35:03I talk to your dad, your pants, out a white dress.
35:07It's a love story, baby, just end.
35:12Ever, ever, ever, ever, getting back together.
35:19Yeah.
35:22Yeah.
35:25Oh.
35:26I used to think that we will love you, ever, ever.
35:33And I used to say, never sing, never.
35:40He calls me up and he's like, I still love you.
35:42And I'm like, I'm just, I mean, this is exhausting, you know?
35:45Like, we are never getting back together.
35:48Nah, bruv.
35:48I'm just, I mean, this is exhausting, you know?
36:00I would love you.
36:01I'm just, I mean, you know, you could be the heat.
36:04I'm just, I'm just, I'm just, I'm just.
36:06You know?
36:09They said I was a cheat, I guess it must be true
36:16And my friends all smell like weed or little babies
36:22And the city weeps of driving by succinct
36:28Little did you know your home's really only a town you're just a guest in
36:35So you put your back no way just to pay for a time shed down in Destin
36:41Florida
36:44It's going to be true
36:47Florida
36:51Louisiana
36:55London, Wembley Stadium
36:59My friend Florence showed up to surprise you, how does that make you feel?
37:05The hurricane was my name when it came
37:10I got drunk and I gave it to wash me away
37:14We're hated in the bathroom with a bottle of water
37:17Well me and my ghost we had a hell of a time
37:20Yes I'm haunted but I'm feeling just fine
37:23All my ghosts got their lace and their cross
37:27But she and her husband disappeared
37:29No one asks any questions here
37:33So I did my best, too late to rest
37:36All of the bodies that have ever been on my body and my mind
37:41They stink into the swamp
37:45Is that a bad thing to say in a song?
37:49Little did you know your home's really only a town you'll get a rest in
37:54So you pack your life away just to wait out the shitstorm back in Texas
38:01Florida
38:03It's one hell of a drug
38:07Florida
38:10Can't use you
38:12The feeling of coming up for the first time in that lift
38:18It was kind of landing on Mars
38:20Because I'd never seen the stage lit up before
38:22The sound of the crowd
38:24That was really extraordinary
38:26You know it's like you see this cultural moment from the outside
38:30And I suddenly was like inside of it
38:32It was wild but it was really fun and completely terrifying
38:35Also, Taylor's my friend and I know her's this like very cozy person
38:41And I came out of that lift
38:43I was like, oh my god
38:45It's fucking Taylor Swift
38:46It's all but peace
38:49Oh
39:01Webley Stadium
39:03Make the most amount of noise possible for national treasure
39:06The extraordinary
39:08Florence and the Machine
39:16You know I used to kind of be leaving the shows and seeing people walk home and think
39:40I really hope they got what they've been waiting for
39:43I hope they got what they've been saving up their money for
39:52There's a feeling I have of such pride and satisfaction
39:57Because when I leave the Ares tour I never wonder that
40:05There's just like this magic in the air
40:07All these particles of shimmer and glitter and confetti and girlhood and friendship bracelet beads and you know magic in the Ares
40:20You know?
40:21Thanks for having us
40:27Thank you
40:30Thank you
40:32Thanks.
40:35Thanks for having me, guys.
40:37We're gonna take care.
40:39Bye.
40:42You're welcome.
40:44Bye.
40:46Bye.
